Today we are operating by dosens of sites on each work session, including authorization, by the way there is no ability to defend such a sensitive data as authorization cookies. More precisely, there is one - to check a setting to delete all cookies on browser window close but if we use it we have to re-authorize on all our sites on every new work session. In addition, the use of this setting also has the following disadvantages:
1. All cookies aka authorization keys are being stored in simple sqlite db in user profile folder, which makes it possible to steal this sensitive data when an attacker has physical access to a computer, or via use of viruses.
2. If you did not close the firefox window properly, but instead, for example, simply disconnected the computer from electricity, on the next download you will have firefox window opened with all sites authorized, despite the setting for deleting cookies.
With all these problems, the ability to encrypt passwords using a primary key, which is available in the browser, looks like a mockery.
It is proposed to add to the browser the ability to encrypt cookies using the primary key as well, so if it was not entered when the browser was opened, and the browser was started without entering the primary key, the entire set of cookies from the previous session would be erased.

Hello there! I think, that it will be useful - add button called by right-click mouse "Translate". User can make translate one or more words/sentenses without translate all page.
Maybe it will be better to make little pop-up window, that say definition of translated word in OS installed language. For example - OS installed language is Spanish and user wants to translate English word "meal" to Spanish.
User highlited it and use right-click on mouse or long-tap on Android and see pop-up window, that translate word and describes it in Spanish. (like in popular translating services)

We should be able to enable/disable the 'List all tabs' which locate at the top right corner. Currently it is not possible. Also just a suggestion, I understand why its position is a bit far from the minimize button because the designer want to separate it to indicate the group of functions. But this make the 'List all tabs' in a awkward position and it's so ugly.

Apple recently announced that Safari incognito mode could be locked behind Face ID, this idea would be very helpful and welcomed if implemented on Firefox.
Add an option that if the user enables it, all private browsing/windows will get locked each time the user changes to normal/not-private browsing and could only be unlocked if the user willingly wants to unlock them, don’t launch Face ID automatically.

I don't know why this is not something you can, at the very least, configure via about:config. Sometimes I want to answer a message while I'm watching my video and ,without disabling always on top, I would need to:
Exit PnP, go to my messenger and answer, go back to video tab, either search the icon (sometimes disappears) or press the hotkey, possibly fullscreen it again and NOW I've answered my mess- wait, they replied!

Hello. Right now, Firefox supports various sidebars like the Bookmark sidebar, History sidebar, etc. I think it would be incredibly convenient to add a Containers sidebar as well.
Just like the Bookmarks sidebar, you can bring it up with a keyboard shortcut, it allows you to view, manage, rearrange, edit, delete, etc. your containers, and it allows you to transfer the current tab to a container.
Basically it's like the Firefox Multi-Account Containers floating panel that shows up when you click on the containers button on the toolbar, but permanently pinned to the side of the browser.

A really great feature, that would set Thunderbird and K9Mail (Thunderbird for Android) apart from all other mail clients: The ability to sync contacts and calendar on multiple devices without any external service provider ("cloud"), without using any internet connection, just on the local network, when both devices are in the same LAN (WiFi) for maximum data protection. I would image it like this: The user can open a dialog/page with known devices for synchronization. The user is able to search for other Thunderbird installations in the same network and will get a list of devices and can add them by clicking on it. Both devices will exchange keys and will both display for example the same 6-digit code, the user can compare these codes and them click accept on both devices. The keys will be stored in both installations and the devices now know each other. The user can now configure what should be synchronized in which direction with each device. Synchronization will be performed (if possible) when data that is synchronized is updated. If the other device is not accessible it will be checked periodically. How I image it on a technical level: Thunderbird will open a IP port for receiving messages. Each installation/profile will generate a public/private key pair. To init a connection/search for devices a broadcast message will be sent containing the hash of the own public key and either the hash of the other devices public key or a search for all devices. Other devices will answer with the hash of their public key. The data transfer is then done directly to the then known IP address. This way changing IP addresses are not an issue (the user doesn't even have to know what IP addresses are), all devices are equal (no server/client differentiation in Installations) and it is completely OS-independent. I use Thunderbird since version 0.5 (that was Februar 2004, just checked my outgoing mails) and I love it has been a reliable piece of software ever since. I also use K9Mail since I got a smartphone. IMHO this would be the best new feature since almost 20 years.

When overscroll in Firefox android, the GeckoView starts performing a bouncer/jerk effect. The effect is the only thing which decreasing the stability and smoothness of the engine. Scrolling smoothness is very important for a browser. Please remove the effect or add any customizable option in Firefox or in the GeckoView (for the developers). The glowing effect is the most important for a browser and my favourite effect. Thank you so much.

Mozilla and Firefox is all about protecting its users and not taking advantage of people's data and mind.
The proposal here would be to have a Zen Mode (not the final name, but you get the idea). This mode, when enabled, would consist of the following, and this would all be configurable:
Reduce the maximum number of tabs to 5
Peaceful selection of musics to be played in the background
Block all pop-ups and force strict mode protection (privacy)
Disable all notifications
The toolbar would have all icons hidden besides a Zen Mode toggle and just show the url.
Reader mode enabled by default for all websites besides search engines
I believe this would bring value and bring a unique feature to Firefox.

I have looked at the Addons available in regards to Threads but they do not address the fundamental issue of being able to manipulate Threading. By this I mean you should be able to: 1. Select an email and make it a 'Root' Thread so that subsequent emails in response (be it sent as a reply or received as a response) will treat that email as the beginning of the Thread. 2. Select an email and move it to be threaded to any email with an earlier time stamp. This could be an email already part of a Thread but it would be a 'branch' of that Thread. See screenshot attached which is from the Virtual Access email software. 3. Unthread an email from a Thread, so that it became a stand alone email, unthreaded and not a Root email, meaning subsequent responses will not be threaded to it unless the user chose to physically thread an email as in 1 & 2 above. 4, Any other Thread manipulation you can think of, provided 'Threading' is selected as being operational. 5. After 'Moving' or 'Copying' an email from one Folder to another, be able to manipulate the threading in any way mentioned above. Hopefully this could be a functionality in the upcoming release of 'Supernova' I feel so passionately about this that I would be willing to donate a couple of thousand or more $s if it fully came about as part of the app and not some addon which might fail with new releases. Most of the above is a copy of a reply I made in the 'Discussion' forum regarding Threads.

Hi I loooooove the Multi-Account Containers extension as an IT-Specialist I'm jumping from customer portals to customer portals. I have about 40 different containers. But the only thing missing that I would love is the ability to re-order the containers. Preferably a sort A->Z button. If I press manage containers now and change the order and then look the order doesn't change. Please please please ❤️ #MultiAccountContainers

Hello ! Currently if I change the theme of my Firefox, it changes for both light and dark mode. It will be great to define a custom theme for light mode and a custom theme for dark mode. Like this if my OS theme is light I can have a custom light theme and have a custom dark theme if my OS theme is dark. I hope it's clear. Thank you.

Using this test website, Firefox offers no way to proceed past the HSTS error:
https://subdomain.preloaded-hsts.badssl.com/
Vivaldi allows you to continue by clicking a proceed:
Chrome and Edge allow you to proceed by typing "thisisunsafe"
It would be handy to let us bypass these warnings (at our own risk), similar to how we can add exceptions to sites with invalid certs. It's not a common use case, but coming across one of these means my only option is to use Chrome/Edge/Vivaldi.

Customizable keyboard shortcuts
Productivity can be drastically improved by performing often-used actions through keyboard shortcuts. By including full keyboard shortcut modification, and maybe even custom actions to which shortcuts can be assigned, everyone can create and set their preferred hotkeys for specific tasks, like moving an email to a specific folder.
Examples of applications that do this really well are Visual Studio Code and Vivaldi.

This search engine was very convenient and has algorithms that are more suitable for me than analogues. Bring Yandex Search back. it's not funny.
