It would be amazing to declutter the tab bar from the (sometimes many) pinned tab we keep, moving them (and only them) to the sidebar (i.e., making them vertical and icon-only, along with history, bookmarks and other sidebar buttons, and keeping the other tabs in the horizontal top bar). Currently there's no way to do this, either they are all vertical or they are all horizontal.

Dear Mozilla Team,
First of all, I deeply appreciate the work you do to maintain Firefox as a secure and privacy-respecting browser. Your commitment to an open web is truly valuable, and as a long-time supporter, I’d like to share an idea that could help strengthen Firefox’s sustainability. Why This Idea Matters
With the possibility of Google Chrome being sold in the future, there is uncertainty regarding Google-related partnerships. As Mozilla currently relies heavily on search engine contracts for revenue, I believe diversifying revenue streams would be a proactive step toward ensuring long-term stability. Feature Proposal
I suggest adding a small, unobtrusive Firefox icon button near the minimize button in the upper-right corner of the browser window.
When clicked, this button would open a menu listing Mozilla’s key services, such as:
ex> - Mozilla VPN - Sponsored partner ads (multiple entries possible) - Donate to Mozilla ❤️
This would provide a subtle but visible way to increase awareness and engagement with Mozilla’s services. Many users need a visible reminder to consider premium services, partnerships, or donations. Currently, these options are somewhat hidden, reducing engagement opportunities. Balancing Visibility and User Experience
To avoid disrupting the browsing experience, the button’s design could be minimal—perhaps just an outline of the Firefox logo rather than a solid icon. This way, it remains noticeable but not intrusive.
Additionally, when Mozilla VPN is activated, the icon could dynamically change to a shield symbol, visually reinforcing the idea that the user is protected. This would provide immediate and intuitive feedback, enhancing the sense of security without requiring additional notifications.
● Expected Benefits for Mozilla - Increased revenue diversity beyond search engine contracts - Higher user engagement with Mozilla VPN, partner ads, and donations - Stronger user perception of privacy and security through intuitive visual cues
I hope this idea can contribute to Mozilla’s sustainability, and I would love to see it considered. Thank you for everything you do!
(From a Korean user who strongly believes in Mozilla’s future.)

Hello,
The toolbar button size is too small.
Please consider user-adjustable small, medium, and large button sizes for future version builds.
My eyes can take the text how it is, but cannot make out the buttons.
Thanks,

The AI in sidebar looks good, but it would be really awesome if you add a shortcut for more usability. Clicking by mouse every time to open chat is very uncomfortable and takes long time!
Also it would be convenient to open some items from sidebar menu on the left side, whereas AI opened on the right side. Thanks!

The current implementation with hiding tabs after two weeks is a good thought, but since the tabs are still shown as 'open/active' in the tab counter, it always displays a ∞ symbol for me, which makes me feel like a tab hoarder. 😔 Please remove the hidden tabs from the tab counter so they can live their quiet life until I bring them back or they get closed. Also it would be great with more options for auto closing apps after 2 or 3 weeks. See my other suggestion about this.

Dear beloved Mozilla team, Thank you for being this meme: My suggestion is regarding a mega-search feature, similar to these (ugly) but very useful addons I used in the past: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/search-all-tabs/ or https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/all-tabs-helper/ I have recently fell in love with the Firefox view I use it to search in all my open tabs, BUT it only searches through tab TITLES Please consider adding functionality of performing CTRL+F function in ALL open tabs. I want an everything (by voidtools) indexer but for my tabs. Bonus points if you can add that bad boy to CTRL+SHIFT+F keybind (as the internet is read only, no need for this find and replace keybind) Thank you, Loop.

HI
Having lot of TABs open, i frequently use " Close Left Tabs " or " Close Right Tabs "
with the use of Context-Menue from TABs. ( right click mouse - select - klick )
IT WAS VERY USEFUL to have for each a SYMBOL to invoke that action in the TOOLBAR / ICONBAR.
( ONLY ONE CLICK was nessessary .. this or that .. )
On THIS it should either be done :: " Close Left " or " Close Right " in regards/ dependation of the ACTIVE TAB.

Just like how we used to be able to select "compact." I understand that more and more people are using vertically oriented devices like phones and tablets, but there is still a huge market share of users on desktop devices, and with the market saturated by widescreen displays, taking up vertical space while having 4 inches of white space on the left and right side of practically every website makes no sense. I switch between Firefox and Opera because I really enjoy the sidebar that Opera has as it makes much more efficient use of screen real estate.

Add option to remove the home button (🏠) from the menu bar add functionality to the menu bar (e.g. browser add on menu, history, close browser, specific addon (e.g. screen reader), ...) Why: This would allow users to fully customize and utilize the sparse mobile screen real estate. The current "home menu" does little for the proficient firefox mobile user, as it's provided functionality is practically useless and can be furthermore invoked via various other ways. Firefox Mobile

Edit Bookmark and DeIete Bookmark are too close to each other, so it's easy to contact them by mistake, and it's too troublesome to add an option of “Are you sure you want to delete the bookmark? So I want to use Ctrl + Z to restore accidentally deleted bookmarks after accidentally deleting them and before clicking on a blank space. (For privacy, after deleting a bookmark, you can't use Ctrl + Z to restore the bookmark if you click on any blank space.)

Currently, Open links in apps option only has 3 options. It would improve user experience if there's an option to remember the status based on URL. Use case: When I open a link for Play Store, I want to save the status to open all future Play Store link in app. But for Amazon links, I do not want to open it in app. Currently there is no such control of granularity between different URLS This is a feature request to add option for Firefox Mobile to remember Open links in apps status based on URL

It would be really nice to have the toolbar at the bottom so that two hands are not required to delete, copy, move... emails. Also the ability to manually refresh (fetch) from the Widget.
Love it so far...

When modifying the toolbar in Firefox you are not allowed to get rid of the forward and back buttons. When you drag them out, they jump back. This seems like quite an arbitrary decision, since you are allowed to remove and shuffle around most other elements of that toolbar.
I only use the forward and backward keys on my mouse, so the back/forward buttons on the toolbar serve no purpose. The only thing they do is that I occasionally accidentally click on them when I'm in a hurry and trying to click a (pinned) tab, to great annoyance. I wanted to solve that problem by removing them altogether and found out that you are not allowed to.

Firefox Android uses the same button for Stop and Refresh depending on the status of the webpage if it is loading or not. The problem is, both Stop and Refresh are useful regardless of the status. If the webpage is already loaded, only Refresh button is available. Stop button should also be available to stop whatever actions the page is doing, for example, stop playing videos or stop refreshing scripts. If the webpage is still loading, only Stop button is available. Refresh button should also be available as an alternative action when a webpage is loading slowly. Refreshing the webpage is a logical attempt.

I know Edge has this - very handy. You just right-click the page and Edge will generate a QR code for the URL. I'm currently using this extension which is decent: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/qr Thanks!

I love Reader View, but it's annoying that the Reader View icon gets pushed around when other icons (like video & translate) are present. Reader View is something you habitually and often enable and then disable. So if the icon has suddenly snuck to the left, then well... you'll be clicking something else by mistake. 🙂
Image displaying the Reader View icon's propensity for not staying in its original position:
Please consider improving the Firefox UX by having a stable location for the Reader View icon.
Thanks for a fantastic product! ❤

It'd be helpful to have a new tab button next to the address bar on mobile for easy access.
Currently, opening a new tab requires two clicks - one to open the tab window, and another on the "+" button to open the new tab. This also requires interaction with two different parts of the screen that are far apart from each other (top right vs bottom right), which is hard to do one-handed or in a hurry, especially on larger phones.
I'm a heavy tab user, and the option to have a "+" button directly next to the address bar would make it easier to open a new tab quickly.

If you have enabled menu redesign and navigation toolbar in secret settings. you have a new way to use the browser when surfing on the web.(look on left and bottom picture of the picture.) But the downside of it is i can't use the extensions when i'm on the web so as example i can't disable dark mode on a website with dark reader.(Look on the right picture of the picture) The only options i have is to disable the extension in browser settings or go back to the original browser version. So please let us use the extensions like you can use it in the normal version.
