"Create Filters From Messages" can be somewhat time consuming, but is very important to some of us. I suggest in order to cut down on this time consumption that we make it easier to create the new folders that the create filters process often requires.  I can think of two ways: - have a new option of "Create Filters From Messages Including Automated New Target Folder Creation" or (more time consuming, but still somewhat of an improvement): - allow for creating new target folders from within the existing Create Filters From Messages screen.  Both of these would help the user having to go through the process of creating new folders in advance of creating new filters. ... I am happily using passkeys via a fido2 stick with fingerprint sensor since quite some time now for sites where it is supported and the number is growing. I am truly convinced that this is the technology that will finally free us from passwords once and for all! But I also know the normal user, for whom buying an additional device for logging in is far too much friction to ever use it. My (technologically savvy) girlfriend looks at me logging in with my fido2 stick and want to do the same without having to get such a key. She already has her phone that can act as a passkey authenticator! On Chrome(ium) using a phone as the passkey works like a charm (for the interested: yes, also on Linux. I am using Linux most of the time). I and may other people would love to be able to use our phones for passkey authentication also with firefox! It would be awesome! The latest controversial proton redesign added new two lines tabs, however it haven't been put to great use. I think we can do better and at the same time bring back the compact mode by merging the search bar and the tab bar. While we put the url directly into the tabs, other icons could go in the tool bar, making a better use of the window surface. The url is a clickable text area and expands to show the full search bar when we start typing. ---------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE 1 To elaborate a bit more on my original idea We could put the hamburger button on the left because it looks a bit weird next to the reduce button (at least on windows) The same way the download icon is hidden unless we're downloading we could hide the back and forward buttons unless there's something in the history The refresh and fav button could be on the tab (and visible only on hover maybe ?) The many icons that can appear on the left of the address bar could be fused all together in one single tabbed panel. The displayed icon would change based on priority : (btw the Extension label could be removed and only show the extension name) Which gives an even slicker look : ---------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE 2 With larger active tab and refresh/fav icons. It would provide an easy one click option to delete an email without clicking the email itself and opening it.  Adding a trash button next to the star button in card view would be helpful without actually opening up the email much like how it is in Outlook would be very helpful. ... View more

I'm a UX designer. I have set up my ff for pc in the most optimum way, usability wise. Very good looking too:D -Please check the ss attached. Just one pain point-sub setting for vertical tabs is added along with history, bookm and chatgpt icons in the control tab under the vertical tabs. I need to resize the width of the vert tabs even smaller, only keeping 3 icons. I don't wanna turn off bookmarks, so I'm forced to keep the sub setting. please put it last in the general settings page since this sub setting for vert tabs is rarely used. After using the new tab sidebar for a while I have found that the X (close tab) button is annoyingly easy to accidentally click when attempting to switch tabs, especially when a volume button is covering part of the tab icon. Could there be an option to hide the close button. I can still close tabs by middle-clicking on the icons or using a keyboard shortcut. ... View more

I've been using arc browser as an alternative to FF, and they have a really helpful feature that is a keyboard shortcut to copy the current page link without losing focus from the page and no need of changing your flow. I've been looking for alternatives, and the closer I found is to execute command +  L and command + C, but even if I don't need to touch the mouse or tab key to copy the link, I lose focus and is not the best experience. I accidentally move them all the time & I need to fix them after & that happen every single time, it is very easy instead of click on one of the tabs to move it around & that mess the order all the time, you need to add an option to lock the position so it would be impossible to move them by accident, I don't think that's hard to do so I hope you could patch this as soon as possible & save me from the daily headache of having to fix my tabs every day...  ... When you create or recreate an HTTP request in the network tab, you cannot modify some of the headers or the cookies associated with the request. Currently Thunderbird supports system tray on Windows - just close the software and an icon will be presented on Windows system tray. Unfortunately this feature is missing on Linux. In past there were several plugins to do that, like several versions of Minimize-to-tray, however the plugin technology for Thunderbird (and Firefox) has changed over time, and these plugins are no longer supported. There are some pages where I try to enable the screen reader, and it gives me an error message. Yet I can open up Edge on the same webpage. Select the text I want to be read and then right-click and select Read Selected Text. It will read any page, even the Google Results page. If I try and enable your screen reader, even using this extension that can force the screen reader to enable. Sometimes it works, and sometimes I get the error. "Failed to load article from page"  I like being able to select exactly what I want the browser to read instead of reading something from the very top of the page. I know there are times when I can scroll down, and if I press pla,y it will start with the text that is at the top of the visible screen, but other times it will start at the top of the page, where I may not be interested in having the entire page read  ... The desktop version of the Firefox browser auto-detects search engine from pages and provide option to add the search engine easily. In the current mobile browser, one has to add search engine manually, and has to provide Search engine name, URL to use for search and Search suggestion API URL in their relative textboxes when adding a search engine. So, it would be nice to have auto-detection of search engine from page in Firefox mobile browser versions to quickly add a search engine. Hi In Firefox Mobile and Firefox it would be useful to clear history and cache of websites visited that is older than a certain amount of time or before a specific date. For example, clear data that is older the 3 months, or older 6 months, or older than 14.04.22. At the moment you can only clear recent data or everything. This would allow you to free space used up by cached files on websites that you are not visiting frequently or recently. This is particularly handy if your mobile device does not have much free storage, but you still want to benefit from reduced download time of having cached files from websites you visit regularly or websites you have visited recently and will look at again soon but will not likely visit again in the long term. Support Firefox to be able to use different tab view modes on different windows! For example, two Firefox windows on different monitors, in my situation below: - One on a 1920*1080 hori screen, with vertical tab sidebar disabled - One on a 1080*1920 vert screen, with vertical tab sidebar enabled for this window only in this case. Because the horizontal and vertical screen experiences are different, it is very reasonable to make the sidebar selectable by window! 😄 It brings much more convenience, at least for situations just like mine.
