I have several accounts in Thunderbird on my Windows 7 PC. This means that there are several inboxes labeled simply "Inbox". The problem is that when I am in any particular inbox, at the top where it says "Inbox XXXX Messages" there is no indicator of the account name. I often cannot tell which account inbox I am looking at. It would be helpful if you could fix this so that when selecting an inbox, the account name is also shown at the top, for example: "Sonic Inbox    1,256 Messages" Thanks, Eric Brooks SF, CA ... There should be an option to, upon being prompted to select a file, have Firefox open a small popup that allows you to either search through your storage as normal or (if there is one) take a file currently held in the clipboard. When you check the Download prompt and select "Show All Downloads".......There is a list.  To the right shows a "Folder" icon to show a good save. But, if it did not save proper, it shows a "Right Circle Arrow" that you click to reload and insert the parity bit. Could you please make that "Right Circle Arrow" RED so it is easy to scan vertically. Or better yet, have a Icon that you click that reloads ALL the alibis at once without scanning. I think the URL-autocompletion in firefox works great, except for one problem: On many websites I like that firefox learns the full url and autocompletes it. But on some websites, firefox learned the wrong url-parameters or url-parameters don't make much sense on this site. In this cases I would like beeing able to disable full-url autocompletion for specific websites, so only the host and protocol part of the URL is autocompleted for this websites. I have a hyphenated last name that is three words with a space separating two of them, and as a result, Firefox leaves out 2/3 of my last name when autofilling forms. Thunderbird 128.3.1esr (64-bit) Thunderbird for Linux Mint mint-001 - 1.0 I am running Mint 22. In the Message List in Classic View, when I change the width of a column, it also changes the widths of other columns. This is done proportionally, which must have taken some work. I understand this is to ensure the list does not extend past the right side of the window. But, when it changes the widths of the other columns, it happens in ways I don't necessarily want. Can you provide an option wherein I can choose to change the width of columns without affecting the widths of other columns? I recognize this means that the list might extend past the right side of the window, but a slider bar at the bottom would deal with that. Please remove the recently-added Firefox logo on New Tabs.  Splashing this logo across the top of the user area causes shrinkage in the user logos and titles for shortcuts.  My New Tabs have 32 shortcut logos and looked great until your last update.  Now they're all scrunched down, the titles are cut off, and there is a lot of wasted space in the left and right margins.  In short, you made a mess of things by inserting the Firefox logo where the only person who will see it is the person who installed and is using it.  Please see attached screenshot.  I do not have a screenshot of what my New Tabs looked like before your recent change.  The shortcut logos were simply larger, more spread out, and the titles weren't cut off. I have observed some Firefox users for many years dislike the extension unified button. Please let us move the new extensions button into the overflow menu.  I also understand such button is necessary to absorb Chrome users with similar UI. It's a good idea to combine the two menus into one, just like what the prototype image (as attachment) shows. ----- The whole menu is split into two parts. The upper part is the traditional overflow menu, where both extension browser-action button and Firefox built-in button can be arranged. The lower part is the extension list, just like that in Chrome, where all extension browser buttons are listed. When customizing toolbar, the extension button in the lower part can be dragged into the upper part, and the built-in buttons in the left area can also be dragged into the upper part. Both of them can be dragged into the topside toolbar. The lower part cannot be collapsed when the upper part leaves empty. ----- The Chrome users would like leave the upper part empty to experience the truly "extension unified menu" as open-box experience. The advanced users can customized their upper part and optionally collapse the lower part to experience the footloose UI layout. ... View more

For over a year now, I have used Firefox and Firefox Nightly. In that time, I have grown to be a more privacy-centric person, I also have become more technology interested (especially open-source). In this time, I noticed that many users (or past users) thought Firefox was too bloated (mostly with Pocket). I thought this was it, that most Firefox users hated 'bloat', but then I got on Mozilla Connect; here I noticed that while there were still many people who hated the 'bloat', I also noticed that some people liked the 'bloat'. I thought this was it. Mozilla would always have to choose between either user. I would like to propose a solution: When installing Firefox or its Mozilla-backed forks (like nightly, developer or ESR). Ask the user whether they want advanced browser experience or basic browser experience. Make sure users know they can always change. If users chose basic browsing experience, they would get a simple browser experience with none of the so- called 'bloat'. On the other hand, if users chose advanced browsing they would get a lot of features, similar to Opera and Vivaldi, like an ad and tracker blocker, crypto wallet, integrated messenger etc. Make sure that people who choose advanced browsing experience can choose what features to use.  Also make sure both advanced, and basic browsers can install extensions. This is my idea to resolve all conflict. If "bloat-haters" don't like a new feature, just add it to advanced browsing only, but if both like it, add it to both. ... View more

Outlook now uses OAuth2/Modern Auth for SMTP servers, which Thunderbird does not offer. This means I cannot send emails from one of my oldest  and most widely spread email addresses.  Thunderbird is always asking for donations; I have never donated. If (and only if) you update your protocols so I can continue to use my Outlook (Hotmail) address, I will finally send you some money. I know you have no reason to trust me, but take a chance.
