These days, more and more AI agents are using browser functionality. Coding assistants, automation tools, autonomous agents—they all need to control browsers programmatically. Right now, almost everything uses Chrome's CDP. There are other tools out there, but CDP is still the main target. Firefox feels like it's being left out of the AI agent market. I think Firefox should have its own automation protocol that's actually better than CDP. Better DOM inspection, smarter state tracking, richer page understanding—something people would actually want their AI agents to use. If that happens, AI tools would start choosing Firefox by default. That's not a few users switching browsers manually—that's entire ecosystems adopting Firefox automatically. Use ML to create dark themes / light themes / themes that match the users theme. make a big database of them, let me choose from a drop down when I visit the site.  impove theming in general. I have recently migrated from BlueMail to Thunderbird for Android. Two usability features that were very helpful in BlueMail are currently missing in Thunderbird and would significantly improve productivity when working with multiple email accounts: 1. Unified inbox / combined view across accounts A single consolidated view showing all incoming mail from selected accounts (as if the messages were in one account). This is useful when the user actively works with several accounts during the day and needs a global “what is new” perspective without switching folders. 2. Fast account switching from the main screen In BlueMail, clicking on the account name opened a quick account list for immediate switching. In Thunderbird, the user must open the menu first and then select the account, which adds unnecessary steps and slows down navigation in multi-account workflows. Keyboard shortcuts can now be specified using `about:keyboard`, which is great! Please add the `Previous Tab` / `Next Tab` command to the list of customisable shortcuts. Hello, Today I highlighted some text and clumsily selected a wrong item from the drop down menu, and was disgusted to see I had started some AI slop built into Firefox. I then spent some time trying to figure out how to disable all the AI features that had been added/integrated into Firefox and enabled without my knowledge. I don't care for AI. I don't want it running on my machine locally. I do not want my browser interacting with external AI without my knowledge. Period. I'm alarmed this crap was enabled without my knowledge or consent. And if you like using AI, power to you. Similar to a variety of personal choices, I am happy for those who partake. Just don't force it on me. Enabling these features by default and not notifying users adequately is just awful. To me it is clear these features are not wanted or useful because if they were, you would allow users to opt in rather than force this on all users. I'm sure there is a rea$on this stuff gets stealth enabled for all users. There should, at an absolute bare minimum, be a very clear setting that disables/removes ALL of the AI elements of Firefox. I should NOT have to consult a non-Mozilla guide to find all the dozen or so about:config entries to disable. Absolutely shameful behavior and disrespectful to users. Currently, the only way to remove or edit a bookmark on Firefox Android is to manually browse through the bookmarks menu. This is a very tedious process, especially for users who have a lot of bookmarks and folders. I recommend adding the 3 dots menu next to each bookmark when searching for bookmarks so users can edit or remove the bookmarks they search for.   ... View more

As per the title - give us the option to configure which sites appear and their order when the address bar is clicked. Right now it is my most visits, which is at least for me a pain to deal with. I dont often use new tab and when i do i use SpeedDial2 anyways, but having the sort of speed dial in the address bar is far more convenient (click address bar -> select website) than new tab (go click the new tab icon -> find the bookmark -> click it) ... Since Firefox is a privacy-oriented browser, it would be very interesting to have a tool that allows to monitor every add-on on Firefox. Nowadays it is hard to know whether we should trust an add-on or not. We should be able to inspect its behavior. I understand many add-ons are not open source, but at least we should be able to know if a certain add-on is for example sending data through the web, saving it somewhere, or even taking snapshots of the screen.  I understand many features require permissions. But for example, a translation add-on might need to read the page in order to translate it. But is it reading the hole page, or just the fragment I selected? Is it sending the hole page through the web or just the word/sentence I asked to translate? It must be hard to track everything an add-on does. Loading pages can take a while, and while it happens the "Stop" button is displayed. There are many cases we as users know that the page won't load (the simplest case is if you forgot to turn on your wifi, but there are many others, specially if you're a developer). In such cases, I hit "stop" on the browser - why keep it waiting for a response I already know it's not coming, right? In such case, the "Refresh" button is not available, and we need to re-open the address box, and hit enter again to have Firefox retry to open the page. My suggestion is to simply enable it. An alternative (for the nostalgics) would be to bring back the "Go" button (deceased somewhere near the end of the 90's or beginning of the 20's). In the Thunderbird, when the message threading is switched on and I open the context menu for a thread, the opened pull-down menu contains the "Open" entry that opens the submenu which in turn contains the only "Open Message in Conversation" entry. Since this feature hit my browser after an update a while ago, I'm constantly annoyed by it. I've been dragging tabs all the way to the left to rearrange them practically forever, and now suddenly doing this is pinning tabs that I don't want to pin - I'm just trying to rearrange my tabs. Perhaps I'm in the minority here, and that's fine - this feature can be enabled by default; however, an option to disable it altogether (via settings or even an about:config option) would go a long way. This feature greatly disrupts my workflows and has proven to slow me down when I'm in my flow state while developing websites. I need this feature to be toggle-able to continue using Firefox as my daily driver browser. Update 2025-09-29: This feature can now be (mostly) disabled via an about:config option (as of v143.0.3). Setting "browser.tabs.dragDrop.pinInteractionCue.delayMS" to any relatively high value should effectively disable the option. The value is the number of milliseconds before the pin tab option triggers. I set mine to 2000, requiring a full 2s before the feature triggers, which has generally solved the issue for me. Sometimes, when I try to log in to a website, the password suggestion doesn’t appear. When that happens, I have to open the password manager in a separate tab and manually copy and paste the login details.
