Currently adding custom AI prompts does not support dynamic placeholders like the URL. This is a huge miss because tab title and highlighted text is often insufficient for a good summary. Also, all chatbots now support web search so sending the URL as context would drastically reduce the window. So URL should either be hardcoded to be sent with current prompts OR we should be able to add it into existing prompts. Thunderbird’s current conversation view is functional, but it lacks the intuitive flow found in Outlook — where the newest message appears at the top of the thread by default. Proposal: I’d love to see Thunderbird adopt a more modern, Outlook-style conversation view with: Top-down threading: Newest message shown first, at the top of the thread. Collapsed older messages: Option to auto-collapse older replies for faster scanning. Persistent scroll position: When reopening a thread, it should remember the last-read message or default to the newest. Why It Matters: For professionals managing dozens of threads daily, especially in dispatching or customer service roles, this layout dramatically improves efficiency. It reduces scrolling, speeds up response time, and aligns with user expectations shaped by other major email clients. Bonus Suggestion: A toggle in settings to choose between “newest-first” or “oldest-first” threading would offer flexibility for different workflows. I have multiple folders set up for specific incoming mail and I only need a notification sound for a few important folders (inbox included). I need the notification sound for important emails that I need to address quickly and having the notification sound go off for not important mail renders that function useless. Please, I should not have to download a third-party addon or have to go through the process of making multiple emails and forwarding lists etc, for such a basic email function. I think it would be a good idea that when emails arrive in Junk when they shouldn't - if i mark them "As Not Junk" then they would arrive in my Inbox - and not return smartly to the Junk box no matter how many times I try. They also eject themselves back into Junk when I manually move them to the inbox. Or if I select the "Move to Inbox again" option - although this time a message popped up saying that the mail server had responded with "EXPUNGE"!!! 👋 When I try to save a webpage into a bookmark folder at the 5th level, it is really discouraging. I have to drag the page icon with the mouse or touchpad very carefully, and if I slip even a little, all the open folders collapse. Most of the time, I lose the whole folder path. add additional settings or a version for the modified android that Chromebooks run on. that allow someone to make it function more like the Chromebook version of chrome staying open even when the device enters "sleep mode", reloading a tab after the device has been closed but not shut down is annoying to me as on certain websites (Tumblr.com) my scroll position in the feed is not saved, so when it reloads I get sent back to the top.  Making it able to support using google drive in browser without it trying to send me to the (google drive) app is another place it seems to struggle, being able to import my google chrome bookmarks and passwords without a windows or linux machine would also be a great addition. ... I noticed Firefox mobile is missing the option to manage which cookies and site data are deleted for specific websites. It is useful on the desktop release because I can choose which website cookies I want keep and the ones I want to delete. The only browsers that allow this on android are the chromium browsers. ... Bookmarks are essential to the use of every browser. Simple management of bookmarks is one of the most important features. Drag & drop an url from the address field to the bookmarks bar or the bookmarks sidebar and into the choosen folder in a simple and direct way is a must. Firefox owns this feature. But only when using the site information or the site permissions icons sitting to the left of the url address. Hello, I’d like to suggest an idea that could strengthen privacy in Firefox while remaining simple for everyday users. Currently, Firefox offers Enhanced Tracking Protection, but there’s always a difficult balance between site compatibility and maximum protection against fingerprinting. My proposal is to introduce a system of configurable privacy profiles, with an intelligent Auto mode: Standard Mode: Ideal for sensitive sites like banks, government services, or e-commerce. Strong protection while maintaining maximum compatibility. Advanced Mode: For everyday browsing (social networks, media, forums). Partial fingerprinting obfuscation, first-party cookie isolation, automatic cookie deletion on tab close. Ultra-Secure Mode (Tor-light style): Full uniformization (user agent, timezone, fonts), randomized fingerprints, complete site isolation. Intended for risky sites or when stronger anonymity is needed. Auto Mode: Firefox detects the type of site (banking, media, unknown/suspicious) and applies the most suitable privacy profile automatically. Users could still override this on a per-site basis. This would give users simple but powerful control over their privacy level, and would clearly differentiate Firefox from competitors like Chrome, Edge, and Brave.
