Extensions (or add-ons) are great to enhance the web experience, but entrusting them with access to the content of all websites I visit (if the features of those require it) is a little bit too much. Some extensions can already solve that: Extensions which only want to modify e.g. YouTube do not need "Access [to] your data for all websites". But other extensions should be possible to use on all webpages, e.g. extensions replacing/blocking "bad words", translating extensions or extensions, which should work with self-hostable instances of services (GitLab, Phabricator, Nitter, …). They cannot easily restrict themselves to some domains (e.g. the official variants) because that would also restrict their use. But, most of the time, such extensions cannot & should not be able to see my whole history or access data when I'm using online banking. Using different Firefox profiles is a way to solve that problem, but it is not easily usable because switching between these sessions is not easy. However, it is easy & user-friendly & automatable to work with containers, e.g. I can assign certain domains to certain containers so visiting them automatically switches to or suggests  the assigned container. And already are containers used to enhance security & privacy. By allowing users to restrict extensions to certain containers, I can easily configure which extensions should be able to modify which website(s), either special selected ones or I can easily switch to a certain container to enable more not-so-trusted extensions if I need to. And by allowing to exclude some or not explicitly selected extensions from certain containers, I can increase the security of online shopping / banking services because fewer extensions would have access to the data of those. When searching for a bookmark in Manage Bookmarks, Firefox doesn't show the folder containing the bookmark(s) that were found. It would be helpful if Firefox showed the folder where the existing bookmarks are found. ... View more

I'm an Android user so I'm not sure what the situation is for IOS but, on Android at least, you can't change download location. This is really annoying as I have to constantly move files after downloading. Please fix this. ... View more

It would be nice to have an option, preferably turned on by default, for preventing screen capture of the Firefox password manager. It would prevent accidentally leaking it through a desktop wide screenshot or a screen sharing during visio meetings. ... View more

With the recent updates to Pocket on iOS and Android, I wonder if there is any potential for adding a feed reader? A user could add their own feeds, use Pocket tagging or the new Lists and obviously save articles. Pocket has excellent syncing so all devices could be kept up to date with what’s been read and saved. For example, they'll go into a debugger mode or become unusuable, telling you to close dev tools to continue. This is something Chrome can do that I found pretty useful and convenient. If your toolbar is on top, swipe scroll down to reveal it and then swipe down on the toolbar to reveal open tabs. Likewise if your toolbar is on the bottom swipe up to reveal and up again on the toolbar to reveal the tabs. Considering the dismissal gesture for the tab window is already a swipe towards the toolbar edge, this seems like a natural extension of that movement. ... View more

Please, please, please give an option to set the width of the scroll bar in Firefox. It's so narrow that about 50% of the time when I try to drag it down, I end up dragging down the whole window. I'm sure it's nice for those who have their smartphone welded to their palm, but some of us still use PCs occasionally, and it's so annoying I usually just use the Page Down key, making the scroll bar pointless. I can't imagine anyone with less than great vision even trying to use Firefox because of this. ... View more

In Firefox Android, when you maximize a video player , the text "Entering full screen mode" appears. It stays there for a few seconds and blocks the video controls and subtitles. I see no purpose for this popup message because it is obvious that the video player is maximized. Please remove it. ... View more

I have noticed how thunderbird supports usenet. For many people, activitypub is what usenet used to be. Mastodon is a decentralized microblogging site for short bursts of communication. Lemmy is a link aggregator similar to reddit in many ways for long form communication, and pixelfed is an image sharing site comparable to pinterest. I wish I could have the same Bookmarks I use in the Desktop toolbar on my start page in iOS. Safari does this the right way. I see no use in having separate pins on the mobile device. In general the bookmarks should work more like those on the desktop. There is absolutely no need to have a separate "Mobile Bookmarks" folder.
