I am doubtful about Firefox seriousness in growing. I get new number and updates but hardly any changes or improvements in existing features and settings. New bugs, old bugs of ages and some options and features irrelevant in current 2025 time.
Firefox after few weeks starts showing issues in loading pages or consuming all 18 GB (yes, I have this much) or Google sites and pages (like YouTube, google docs, meet) or Microsoft sites and pages (LinkedIn, One drive, MS office 360 suite, One note) not working properly anywhere, both desktop and mobile, so reset might be helpful but Firefox being Firefox from 90s.
Growth happens when you see how other are growing.

You bring up an excellent point about the need for improved reset options in Firefox, similar to what Chrome offers. Reset features are essential for users experiencing performance issues, and it’s frustrating that Firefox doesn’t yet provide a straightforward way to reset the browser in its entirety. This is a gap that Mozilla should address to match, or even exceed, user expectations in 2025.
On the topic of adopting features inspired by Chrome, I’d like to draw your attention to another area where Firefox could improve: its history page. Unlike Chrome, which offers a detailed history interface that opens in a new tab, Firefox limits users to a narrow history sidebar or an outdated library window. This lack of functionality feels restrictive and out of step with modern user needs.
I’ve started a thread proposing that Mozilla implement a new, user-friendly history page in Firefox, similar to Chrome’s. You can check it out here: https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/firefox-needs-a-history-page-like-chrome-s/idi-p/91296
Adding a detailed history page wouldn’t just be a convenience feature—it would empower users to better manage their online activities. Whether it’s revisiting important pages from weeks ago or conducting research, a robust history feature would make a world of difference. It’s the kind of improvement that enhances user experience and builds loyalty, much like a reliable reset option would.
Both of these ideas point to the same larger issue: Mozilla needs to focus more on practical features that users actually care about. Growth happens when you pay attention to what your audience wants and implement meaningful changes. Let’s keep these conversations going to encourage Mozilla to prioritize updates that make Firefox truly competitive again.
