Hi, I used to use Brave, and I switched back to Firefox because of work security settings. One thing I miss is the ability to close one tab on my mobile in one click, not having to view all tabs to close one.

A really cool feature in a lot of programs, is the option to have some really convenient shortcut be a configurable one, where the user can assign a few common actions. An example would be blender's bindings for the space button. Ctrl + Space for examle seems to have the function "Select or deselect the tab with the colored border" I couldn't find out what that does, but after pressing it severel times in various places, nothing seems to have happened. I'd say that's kind of a waste for such a convenient shortcut. One of the bindable features could be "Search ... for ..." from the context menu! 😉

Hi to All.
I have 4 domains and in each domain I created one email per person. it means that I have 4 emails of each person. Now I am unable to organize them by name to bring them to by name order.
So my request is to add this option or allow the drag and drop option for custom order.
I hope that you will consider my request and add this option ASAP.
Waiting for your positive response.
Warm regards,
Ali Khan

I am on Windows 11 and needed to debug a problem with a scrollbar today, the bug only appeared with the old scrollbar style, so I needed to enter about:config, change widget.non-native-theme.scrollbar.style to 4 and restart the browser. Not that great.. I would really like to have this as a simple switch in the devtools. Or add a regular setting like mentioned here: Scroll bar width and customization options

Currently using Thunderbird v102.4.2 (Ubuntu 22.04 & Windows 10) Thank you all for all you do to create and support such a great app. It enables me to do so much with tons of flexibility that I just don't get from other products. Another user and I desire to print out our calendars from Thunderbird using the "Multiweek" view as opposed to the monthly view. It is useful to ignore previous weeks, and to start the printed calendar with the current week as displayed in the Multiweek view mode. Currently, users can only print using "List", "Month", and "Weekly Planner", but there is no option to print Multiweek view. We would be very grateful if this option could be included as well. Thank you all for considering my request!

When highlighting tabs to close on the tab bar using shift, the X icon is currently on the tab that you start on if you have lots of tabs open (more than around 11). I think it makes sense to move this to the last tab you highlight so that you can close them all quicker.

Notifications displayed when page requests DRM media to be displayed is really annoying as it takes up space for the website and stays there until it is manually dismissed, even after page is changed and no longer asks for DRM.
Displaying DRM information is still valuable even when user specifically decided to not enable it (e.g. as it may affect available types of content or playback quality), but this information has to be less invasive. Please consider displaying it as an icon next to the URL bar instead.
This way it will still be noticeable, but it will no longer disrupt the browsing experience of users who intentionally not want to use DRM.
In addition to that any information about DRM covering other elements of the UI should be automatically closed on URL change, so it doesn't artificially stay there even if DRM content is no longer requested.

I often search hundreds of comments on date or username, which are located either at the top or the bottom of a comment. I would like to read the whole comment without further scrolling, so assuming username at top of comment, the highlighted username should appear at the top of my screen with the bulk of the comment below. Vice versa if the username appears after the comment. Could use Shift-Ctrl-F and Alt-Ctrl-F as keys. The current logic seems to be - if found item appears on screen, jump to it without scrolling - if found item is not on screen, scroll so that found item appears in middle of screen I would like an option - scroll up (or down) so found item always appears at bottom (or top) of screen

I get the thought that pinned tabs are done with the thought of the URL (domain) not changing. So, when a new URL (domain) is identified a new tab is opened with the new URL.
However, I like to use a pinned tab for music. I have several music sites bookmarked in a folder (Pandora, DigitallyImported [and its sister sites], YouTube, for example). When I want to change which site (via bookmark) I'm listening to, instead of updating the pinned tab, a new tab is popped out and I have to pin the new one while deleting the previous one. Not user friendly.
My idea is to have a setting for any given pinned tab to remain in the tab when site changes or to popout to a new tab. Another option might be, if the new site is bookmarked, then remain in the current pinned tab.
#pinnedtabs
Thanks!

Hi.
When screen real estate is so precious,
Why is the icon to edit 'Columns to Display', take up and wasted a whole column?
When a Right Click on the column header opens the same editing window.
Also, can I please have the option to display the Date without the Time, and have the Date sit nicely inside a column?
Thanks for all the great work.
John

On macOS, you can open the Preferences (about:preferences) using "Cmd + , (comma)". It'd be really nice to have the same shortcut, with "Ctrl + ," on Linux and Windows. Also, thank you to everyone who contributes to this browser, it's an awesome software !

The console.table() method in Firefox displays tabular data as a table in the browser's debug console. This works great for visual inspection within the console, however any attempt to copy/paste that table to any other application gives a messy/unusable result. “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” ― Eleanor Roosevelt But simply adding "Tab" characters (eg. ascii 9) between columns, and Line Feeds (ascii 10) at the end of each row of the console.table() output, would result in no notable visible change, but the table would generally "paste nicer" into many other applications, including spreadsheets like Excel, and even pasting into plain text editors would be more tidy. I think many people would find this quite helpful.

It would be really helpful to have an easy option to bypass all security for local IP addresses. If I'm willing and able to "Accept the Risk and Continue" I should have the option for "Don't ask me again for this IP address". I was finally able to get Firefox to stop warning me about accessing my pfsense firewall but It was a great pain to do so for just a single device on my internal network.

With firefox currently, the command to move back one tab is Ctrl + Shift + Tab, whereas closing the entire window is Ctrl + Shift + Q (Q being right next to tab). Is there a way to add a dialogue so that if you accidentally press Q instead of Tab that it'll prompt to ask if you're sure you want to close it, vs using Alt + F4 or the Close button?

It would be nice to be able to duplicate contacts in the Thunderbird address book, without exporting/importing the data. I can SAVE or DELETE, but I've never seen a way to duplicate a contact.
Sorry if this has been suggested already, or if I am just unaware of a way to do it.
