It would be really nice if you could open any link you see on your phone in Firefox on another device using the share sheet in IOS or make it accessible via shortcuts so people could implement this or other setups. I know I would find the send tab to device feature much more useful since I usually want to use it when I'm not currently using a browser and I want to save it for later. Many users (especially in regions like East Asia) prefer the behavior that when clicking the close button (X), Thunderbird does not fully quit but stays in the system tray. This behavior is very common in other mail clients like Foxmail, QQ Mail, and is convenient for receiving new mail notifications while keeping the desktop clean. I'd really like if I didn't have to click on the "+" button 100 times a day. When I go to a webpage, Firefox could automatically open one new empty tab in the background so when I close the webpage that I'm visiting now, it won't automatically throw me one tab back and loads a site I don't even want to open now, but instead after closing the website it will just take me to a new tab. For very long email with few pages of screen, currently attachments are placed at the end, you have to scroll few screens to reach them, so it is better to place them at top, or a way to jump to the end. ... View more

please add 0.25, 0.75, 1.75, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4 speeds to the "speed" dropdown menu that appears when shift+right clicking on playing media. with the new additions it will have all 0.25 increments from 0 to 2 and 0.5 increments from 2 to 4. and since one cannot shift+right click in PIP add the speed change option there aswell under some sort of "speed" icon or such. and while we are at it we might also add this icon or such in the default media player that is seen when one opens up an mp4 video in firefox for e.g. ... Filtering by Domain Names is an important feature that would allow for the screening of emails by individual domains.  I one no longer wishes to receive emails from that specific domain,  it can be added to a block list. As a user, I would like to filter correspondents by domain name.  The domain name can then be added to a block list, once done users from that domain are essentially blocked.  This can be used to eliminate spammers form sending emails.   ... When using the the chat especially when on either of my laptops. I think it would be useful to be able to minimize/hide the chat but not have it completely close so you can stay in the same session. In my head I see it working by adding a simple minimize button next to the close button. When it minimizes, the icon for the chat can stay highlighted to alert that it is still active. Also, when switching from chat to other options like bookmarks, history or tabs. If there is a current chat open it should use the minimize behavior so the same chat is still active when you navigate back. Hello Thunderbird team, I’d like to suggest adding a feature that allows users to automatically reduce or compress attachments before sending an email. For example, when attaching photos or documents — either directly from file sharing options or by using the Attach File button in a message — it would be great if Thunderbird offered a choice to reduce the file size. Ideally, there could be 2 or 3 standard compression options (e.g., “High quality”, “Medium”, “Small size”), similar to what’s already available in Samsung Email or Outlook for Android. Currently, no EAI email addresses (such as äöü@test.local) can be set up in Thunderbird, whether on a desktop or mobile device. Entering punycode is not a solution either, because EAI (SMTPUTF8) means native UTF-8, and there are no intermediate encodings such as punycode for IDN. So the request is to support the setup of EAI email addresses with SMTPUTF8 addresses (So non-ASCII characters BEFORE the @). Checking that all links go to the right places before sending an email is cumbersome in Thunderbird.  The nonclickable nature of links entered during message composition is explained as a deliberate choice by the developers so that it is easier to engage in microediting of links to, for example, correct a spelling error in a link (say, "https://heresamisspelledlinke.com"). Perhaps this choice aids the workflow of some users who type URLs. It is quite a bit different experience for those of us who send out numerous emails with hyperlinked text that we've copied from another document (the URL itself is not even visible). For those instances when we need to correct a spelling error in manually entered URL, other mail programs allow a click on a link icon (or an unlink icon) to undo the automatic hyperlink and allow editing. A second click restores the hyperlinking.  This seems much better behavior to me.  LInk checking is very important to those of us who send out mission critical communications to groups. In the competition between ease of correcting spelling error and ease of checking links when composing an email, I vote for leaning towards ease of link-checking.  Is it possible to make it an option for those of us who want clickable links while we are composing an email?  ... Just because I add a tab to a 'tab group' doesn't mean I want to immediately go to that tab group. Please enable us to choose to NOT automatically go to the tab group. NB In settings I have not checked "When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately". Also, sometimes I want to add 20 adjacent tabs to a tab group and it would be great to be able to highlight and add them all at once! But if that's too hard, please don't make me go to the tab group each time I add a tab to that group because each time I then have to navigate back to the remaining 19 or so tabs in between adding each one to the group and it takes way longer with many more keystrokes to do this when I already have too many tabs open 😅 That said, to quickly reduce the number of tabs I have ‘open’, it would be great if I could right click on a 'tab group' and have the option to: - add that tab group as a new folder in my bookmarks, and/or - add the tab group to a pre-existing folder in my bookmarks Thank you for your consideration. ... Currently Thunderbird has the option to "Automatically mark messages as read", either immediately or after a small delay. I would like to request a third option: "When clicking or scrolling" I have the preview pane open and usually cycle through my messages, then stay on a given message, but that doesn't mean I've read it. So the more strict option 'after displaying for xx seconds' still sometimes falsely marks emails as read. However, opening the message, clicking (a link, select text, etc) in the preview pane or scrolling in the preview pane actually indicates I've interacted with (or 'read') the email. ... View more
