The new sidebar for tabs is great, but the bookmark bar sometimes shift it. In my case, i have the bookmark toolbar show up only on new tabs and not on others. So whenever i switch from a used tab to an empty tab, the bookmark bar pops up and pushes the tab icons on the sidebar down, which isnt a bug or problem i believe, but it is kind of weird to see. If the bookmark toolbar is shifted to the right, adjacent to the sidebar instead of on top of the sidebar, it might fix it. v136 introduced dynamically-expanding tab sizes on tabs with audio. This can be laggy though, as a page loads and the video/audio starts playing, causing misclicks. The tabs will also then shrink back down eventually once the audio's been idle for awhile, which can be visually distracting. There's some kind of thing that can be done with userchrome.css, but this is a workaround that's not viable for most users. Currently, when I close the last tab of a tab group, the group disappears, and I have to manually create it again. I prefer groups over containers because, most of the time, I don’t need the separation of cookies and profiles that containers offer. At least, make the created groups available when I create a new tab group so that I can simply choose an existing one. ... View more

I had this idea a long time ago. Sometimes on some sites the sound on the site itself is quite loud and I would not like to reduce the volume in the operating system or the volume of the browser itself. I'm often viewing PDFs in Firefox and I use the tab icons to quickly find the right tab, but when a tab contains a PDF it has no icon. This makes it harder for me to find it quickly as I'm looking for the absence of something. Firefox isn't with useful tool, which is tabs suspender, it saves of much hardware consume and doesn't allow your PC stay slowness and/or your own internet, because tabs can consume internet and recourses in background without you use it, so that's important and should be in all popular browsers including Firefox. When using Firefox desktop version, there is this glaring issue when private tabs are opened - if normal tabs window is closed before private tab window, you lose your entire browsing session!! Hello Mozilla team. Since I'm using vertical tabs, there is problem with switching cards. The mute button is right on the icon so I often end up muting a tab instead of switching to it (for example YouTube). Themes are a major reason why I choose Firefox over other browsers and the addition of vertical tabs is great and very welcome! I get that vertical tabs provide more vertical screen real estate, but I really enjoy themes and was wondering if it would be possible to make the height of the theme area adjustable or taller, so more of the selected theme shows when vertical tabs is switches on? ... In Firefox Android, I often have multiple tabs open. When I scroll up and down to navigate through the tabs, I sometimes accidentally close a tab. Probably because I was swiping diagonally up. I have a few seconds to click the undo button that pops up. I've never intentionally used this gesture since I click the x button to close a tab. Hi, I used to use horizontal tabs and today I updated firefox, found out that there is vertical tabs feature, and I set it out! When I was browsing with horizontal tabs, I use `cmd` + `left/right` to navigate between tabs. Intuitively thinking, I thought I could navigate with `cmd` + `up/down` on vertical tabs but it didn't work out. A wonderful feature in Firefox of some tab extensions like Sideberry is that it lets you set actions for mouse events like double-clicking, long press, to name 2 that are very useful and you could do it on right or left click. When you perform these actions with the mouse on a tab you can map them to some actions like refresh tab, duplicate tab, mute tab, set tab refresh time, etc etc. Again sideberry extension is a good reference for this but it would be amazing for usability of tabs in Firefox to be able to map such mouse actions to tab actions. ... My suggestion is to have an option to create a fixed tab and/or window, which can only be closed through an option in the menu. This feature is to be used in tabs that are really important to the user, avoiding having to close them in the standard procedure, which is practically an automatic gesture. ... View more

I noticed that vertical tabs is finally coming and am currently using Firefox Nightly. A big thank you first of all for making this happen as it was the biggest blocker to coming back to firefox. I use Firefox on both my PC and my mobile Android device. I primarily browse and search via my mobile device since it's convenient to search for something and start reading about it on the go; more often than not coming back to that browsing tab but on my PC - where my IDE is located. Gone are the days where I have to type the URL from the mobile into my PC browser - simply fetch them via the nifty menu where my mobile's browsing tabs are shown. This is awesome - if you're going to open one tab. Sometimes I have 6 or more tabs with content related to my search that I want to display on my PC browser. How? Well, you have to open a tab then go fetch the open tab I'm interested in. Open another tab and fetch the next open tab from my mobile. Open yet another tab and fetch the third open tab. And on we go. Not very efficient. It would be great if one could open multiple tabs by using a context-menu that allows you to quickly right-click and Open In New Tab for each entry we would like to restore.
