(Was advised to submit here after submitting feedback report to Mozilla, feature can only currently be implemented from behind flags in beta branch)    We need a port of the Firefox on Windows Settings (namely to select Proxy/DoH/SOCKS settings in App that would otherwise be available on PC Browsing)  I just want to be able to use OpenDNS for this browser. In HTML/SVG/plaintext documents whose text content is wider than the visible area, it would be informative and convenient if the horizontal positions of found text were marked on the horizontal scroll bar, in the same way that Ctrl+f text search success causes the vertical locations of a text search term's one-or-more results to have their location highlighted in the vertical scroll bar. Idea Change the system of autocompletion for local urls (/ or file:///) from history-based to reality-based So if you're starting you're url with / or file:/// it will suggest real paths on top of the other results. And also make this blue finish-suggestion, which is competable with tab. Example Most file explorers (see image) or the linux terminal (just tab completion) If you type some letters, for example "Doc", it will automatically suggest "Documents/" since I have this folder on my local filesystem. Under it there could still be suggestions like "Downloads/text.docx" or from your history. Reason If you're developing a website locally, you can access it's domain more easily Local files you have visited earlier, but have deleted since then, won't be suggested anymore If you rename a folder, suggestions will change to the new file If there are still questions, feel free to ask in the comments 🙂 ... Regarding the experimental "AI Sidebar" feature on the developer branch of Firefox. Instead of a side menu, I think it would be a good addition to add an AI search bar somewhere on the tab bar, or a shortcut like "@ChatGPT" like how you can with "@Bing" in the search bar. Would be nice to can search by image any picture when you Right-Click on it and Select "Search by Image" to open a sidebar with the image matches the actual picture you looked for. This improvement would save seconds for many users who "Copy the image link" or "Save Image As" and then go on Google for Reverse Image Search. I'm sure many firefox users with no Image Search extensions are looking for this feature for long. P.S. Right now in the address bar when you type something, Firefox lists 6 google autocomplete suggestions and below it are 3 Firefox Suggest's coming from your history. Please make it editable in settings to make it a custom number besides 3. 3 is too few. Thank you. ... View more

I think the subject line basically says it all! Some websites change their favicons once in a while, and I realize that you can use the mozlz4-edit add-on to edit search engines and their favicons, but this is really hard to do! And it would be nice if they could just be changed/upgraded to the new site favicon automatically on the everything/URL bar or whatever it's called these days. I often use the same set of words to define my search, such as "Davinci Resolve 18 how to make a video transition" or "Davinci Resolve 18 how to add pictures", where "Davinci Resolve 18" is the common prefix or topic for my search. Or it might be I'm searching for different information about nutrition but for dogs, so "dog food" would be a prefix in various searches and the variable would be the specific information I'm looking for such as how much protein or fibre etc.. Currently a suggestion comes up when you start typing into the search window with recent search history results and as soon as you click on one it takes you to that previous result. The idea is to be able to save those topics so I don't have to type them in each time I want to search for something new within those search terms for my most common searches. It can be laborious to type in the same set of search terms every time I want to do multiple searches within the same topic. I would love if when I go to type in the search bar a list of previously saved search terms comes up and lets me customize and finish my specific search query before searching. ... View more

If you type something in the URL-bar, the suggestions appear. If you want to go to one of the the bottom suggestions (not with the mouse, but the keyboard), you have to use the down-arrow very often. It would be easier, faster and more comfortable to use the up-arrow. But the problem is, that it cycles through all search-engines in the bottom row. Instead of this behavior using the up-arrow once should go to the bottom-row with the search-engines, but a second tap on arrow-up should go one line up to the last suggestion. And if you are in the last row, cycling through the search-engines should work with arrow-left and -right. That would be a more logical and faster keyboard navigation for the URL-bar.   ... When searching something on firefox mobile you go from the search page, to the page you were last on, before finally loading in the page that you searched for. This creates a lot of visual chaos and in my opinion it would be preferable to go straight to the loading page of your search. ... View more
