I will attach some screenshots. In Thunderbird, Settings > Appearance > Message List > View Style: Table view, one of the default criteria that is displayed is the message subject. The Subject header has padding in front of it, so that if you shrink your message list you end up with |        S...| as a subject header. The subjects of the actual messages align to this header as well, and you have the same result. If you increase the width of the message list, the "Subject" appears more centered, but the subject in the messages (which is usually longer than "Subject" is still padded at the front, and you can't see as much of the subject as you ought to be able to. Hello! I hope that you are doing well. So, I recently switched back to firefox and wanted to use vertical tabs as I got used to it in the zen browser, and I wanted to support firefox as it's the only viable non-google browser in the market. But then I found that you have to manually click in order to collapse the vertical tabs and vice versa. In the Zen browser, which is still in beta, has a feature in which you just right click on any whitespace on the vertical tabs and enable compact mode. This adds a slide in and out functionality in which when you point your cursor near the left side or close to the vertical tabs, it automatically slides out and when I point the mouse away to the webpage it automatically collapses, thus providing more focus on the content and adding convenience rather than having to click on the collapse option in firefox. I'm personally a heavy tab user but have always wondered why there is almost no support for tab grouping or customization in the native tab bar in Firefox. I think making it able to group like Google Chrome does for example or at least giving more access for extensions and add-ons would significantly improve the UI in that regard. ... View more

Not sure if this qualifies as bug report or if it is a feature request to revert back the re-positioning of the pin icon on shortcuts in the New Tab Page since FF139. The new position in the top left corner of the shortcut image is more than ugly and does not have any obvious benefits over its previous position in front of the shortcut name. My idea is to adapt the design to the new iOS 26 interface and make a lot of transparent objects with cool animations. To please the audience that wants to use the previous design (i.e. the one that is now), make it possible to change designs in the "appearance" column. P.s. the new design is also nice, but I want to continue using only firefox, not safari. Events I have been invited to appear in Thunderbolt Android as just regular emails without any indication that they are event invitations except for the attached .ics file. Even if Thunderbird Android does not have a calendar I need to be able to quickly see in my inbox that this is an event so I can respond to it promptly. Currently you only see the paperclip attachment icon making it look like a regular email with any kind of attachment. Hello, I'm not saying I don't like the current Firefox design, but maybe some would like to be able to customize the tab bar/icon style/bookmark bar/context menu more than just light/dark and color/image. Maybe some would love a Chrome-like design or even an IE-like design. Make it easier to hide the share button in the address bar in Firefox on Android. Together with reader mode and the translate button (if available) there is almost no space left for the address itself. There are Firefox policies that can be applied via a policies.json file that restrict user's access to some Firefox about pages such as about:addons and about:profiles. I would like there to be a policy added that works in the exact same way but blocks the about:sync-log and about:about pages. I use tab groups in the vertical arrangement with no labels showing. I love it, the greatest feature in years. However: When collapsing a tab group the tab button gets ghosted, i.e., colors are inverted, and it's outlined. After using this feature since the very first day it got released, a subconscious part of my brain is still unable to understand that this button isn't the currently active page. It just looks like it, whereas the design of the real one is very inconspicuous and doesn't draw as much attention to it. Could we have an option, where the tab group button doesn't get inverted when closed? Or any other way of improving distinguishability? I know that's complaining on a high level. When the sidebar expand on hover option is turned on, the 'X' to close tabs appears at the end of the tab title, this means after hovering on the left you have to move your mouse all the way to the right to close the tab, if you go too far, the sidebar collapses meaning yhou have to try again. Why ? Currently, Firefox’s default tab design colors all unselected tabs uniformly (typically white), making it difficult to visually distinguish between multiple open tabs, especially when 20 or more tabs are open. This often leads to accidental clicks on the close (“x”) button or difficulty quickly selecting the desired tab. There are currently no extensions capable of doing this for UNSELECTED horizontal tabs - so presumably it is an extension limitation by design. I propose adding an optional toggle setting (OFF by default) that automatically assigns different background colors to unselected tabs (only the tab bit at the top of the screen) immediately upon opening. The colors could be generated based on domain, tab order, or a consistent color palette, providing immediate visual differentiation without user intervention. Benefits: (AI wrote this bit) Enhances usability for users with many open tabs by making tabs easier to identify at a glance. Reduces accidental tab closures caused by clicking the close button unintentionally. Maintains Firefox’s clean default UI by keeping the feature off by default, respecting users who prefer uniform tabs. Empowers users with greater customization and accessibility options. The pins that were added in version 139 (Linux) to mark which sites are pinned on the "New Tab" page, should have an OPTION to only show up ON HOVER. They make the page look ugly and uninviting. I spent some time looking for nice icons for websites I go to daily, then Firefox decides to spoil it one day by driving a push-pin into each. I guess I will have to save the new tab page as html, remove those pins, and make it my home and new tab page.
