Currently the Bookmarks Toolbar option to "Only show on New Tab" is, depending on how you look at it, either not as useful as it could be or misleading. It would be ideal to extend the option to encompass all new tabs, not just Firefox Home. I prefer new tabs to be a blank page, but I would like the Bookmarks Toolbar to appear and then disappear as this setting would seem to enable. Failing that, it would be much less confusing to label the option "Only show on Firefox Home." This would avoid the confusion I and others (e.g., 1 and 2) have had trying to figure out why the option wasn't working.

It would be nice to be able to duplicate contacts in the Thunderbird address book, without exporting/importing the data. I can SAVE or DELETE, but I've never seen a way to duplicate a contact.
Sorry if this has been suggested already, or if I am just unaware of a way to do it.

Using Google Translator Considering that Firefox blocks cross-site cookies by default and for certain reasons "may interfere with some websites" ALL third-party cookies are not blocked, but if when we close Firefox the third-party cookies will be deleted, I think it's a good idea for privacy reasons and for the sites to work I know there are some prefs for this: network.cookie.thirdparty.sessionOnly: true network.cookie.thirdparty.nonsecureSessionOnly: true but it would be better to have them enabled by default and if it really messes up some sites or for questions of ad preferences, consider using cookie exceptions

If you have plenty of open Tabs you can simply scroll through them with the mouse wheel, but if you start to sort/rearrange them, during the dragging of one Tab, one can't use the mousewheel to scroll, instead you have to move the mouse to the edge of the currently shown Tabs to scroll through them - which makes control kinda unprecise. I would love to be able to use the mousewheel when rearranging my tabs.

It would a nice addition to automatically mark as spam every email that ends up in any spam folder on an email account, mainly because of security concerns of possible scams an other kind of attacks.
I know that Thunderbird disable some content of senders that aren't manually allowed to show remote content, but it doesn't strip all HTML content of those messages.

So many times 3rd party apps try to open up tabs in whatever the default browser is on an Android device - it would be great if you were able to add a function that would allow me as the user to block/blacklist those sites as they pop up so that they are rendered unable to open a tab.
This would be another great feature to your consistently stellar app.

Hello. I had an idea that would be quite useful to me. Sometimes I like the "new tab" behavior just as it is with links to previously opened pages. Other times I would like the new tab to be identical to my "home page". My idea is to have the new tab icon to have both behaviors user selectable. One half working just as it does now and the other half opening a new home page. Just like this mock up I made!

Hello everyone.
I would like to suggest that the password manager be improved so that it does not delete saved logins and passwords when using the "forget about this site" function.
Recently, I used this feature to delete data from several sites and accidentally deleted data from one social network, so I lost my only password to it. I was inattentive. It turned out that I will never be able to recover the password to my account - to restore access, I need to have my photo in my profile (because of the scars on my face, I never publish my photos on social networks). Therefore, in my opinion, it would be nice to make settings that would allow you not to delete passwords along with all the other data of a particular site.
Sorry for possible mistakes. I don't know English well so I use a translator.

The extension toggle button is set to BLACK/WHITE when on/off is set. This is an anti-intuitive color scheme! Don't know if this is conditioned by Thunderbird Theme choice but... REGARDLESS of the Themes, this button should turn RED/GREEN when toggled.

I have two main folders: rrvt (a copy of the gmail list of folders) and Local Folders. The only rrvt folder I need on a regular basis is Inbox. I would like to move all my mail to Local Folders/Inbox. When i tried that most of the mail was sorted with the 72 Message Filters into the appropriate Local Folders and the remaining eMails were sent to the Local Folders/Inbox. Unfortunately not all the eMails were sent to the proper place even though the last filter in the list was designed to move the remaining eMails to Local Folders/Inbox.
So I thought that I might be able to move the Message Filters to the Local Folders/Inbox. I could not find a way to do that and there are 72 such filters. It would be nice to be able to move those filters from one group to another...

Instead of opening links with the default profile, FF should open it with the currently used profile (in case any FF instance is running). Otherwise, it should open it with the default profile. Demo: On Windows. FF is default browser. There are two profiles: 1) "work" which is default and 2) "personal" Open any hyperlink (from an email, a document or elsewhere). independant whether no FF instance is running or an FF instance of the "personal" profile is running, the result will be: a new FF instance of the "work" profile will start and open the link. => This seems not to be the correct or expected behaviour.

I am a big fan of the mute tab function when clicking a tab icon. A great added feature would be to have a small volume slider bar pop up on hold mouse function to adjust the volume on each tab. Option to save or reset values on reopening. Keep up the great work

With AOL if i try to delete 8000 message it crashes the smtp to the mail server so thunderbird should have a setting to say do 500 delete at a time. That way it would do 16 request with a gap of a min or 2 between them to prevent this error.

I have a shared calendar with my wife, using CalDav. When a Reminder window opens (on both our computers) and one of the Reminders is Closed, on the other computer the window is still open. When then that window is closed (even with the [X]) it warns that something has changed, and if the closing of the window should be transmitted to the CalDav system, or if you want to 'reload' the data. This does not make sense to me. Once the Reminder is Closed, it should also be closed on all other computers, and it should automatic close all the open windows (of the same Reminder) and this will prevent the problem of possible duplicate and conflicting commands to the sharing system.

I would love that if I open a new tab and surf to an url I have pinned already, that Firefox closes the new tab and navigate to the pinned tab of that url.
I often have a few news sites open, but have a habit of command+T'ing and type the site's url. After a while I figure I have a few tabs of the same website. I already have such a bad habit of having open too many tabs.
Safari on MacOS has this behaviour and it is way easier to keep down the number of tabs (When I try to record it, it for some reason stops behaving properly, so please take my word for it :)).

Hello! Using Firefox since 2.x version, but only today I just switched to Microsoft Store version of the app (just found out there is such one in the store, and personally I like the idea of updating as many apps as possible from a single place) So, I set it up until I pinned the icon to desktop: it just looks terrible with the purple square background. Also pinning to Start Menu (square and medium size) doesn't look great either, the icon is too big. It should match the design of the .exe version Thanks!
