In medical imaging, a clinician will have special high resolution and calibrated displays to view images on. These are normally arranged as one or two (or even 3 or 4) of the special monitors in portrait orientation and then and normal display. For browser based image viewing applications, it is necessary to "move" the tab or window containing the viewing application onto the correct displays. This will usually involve, detaching the tab from the parent window, moving the tab to the correct display(s) including resizing. In order to position the window, we must know the destination location to position the window as well as the bounds. In chrome, we are able to use the chrome.system.display API to get the information about the displays and their configuration and present a nice settings page to the user where they can simply select the displays they'd like the window to be moved to. In Firefox, we are unable to do this. Our current solution is to have the user drag and resize a window in the intended location that we then capture. This is cumbersome and inaccurate as its very hard to get things lined up to the edge of the screen.

I would like a horizontal scroll bar for the Bookmarks pane because when they are grouped in folders, the bookmarks extend out of the pane. Having a scrollbar would allow the user to better center the bookmarks in the pane thus allowing it to be narrower and not take up so much of the window.

I like the Firefox Translations add on, but it would be great if there was a webpage similar to Google or Bing translate, where we can simply input text that needs translating, and it would translate it.
Alternatively, the add on could be expanded, so that when you click the add on icon in the browser it loads up a text box that you could add text you want translated, and it would translate it.

When using Firefox # on full screen and the tool bar is showing it fill some part in the view port making the view port smaller which makes the content gets push away to bottom what is really annoying.

I am currently using firefox on an android phone and the shortcuts are my favorite feature on the homescreen and I'd be glad if I had more ways of customizing them!
For instance, I would love to rearrange the shortcuts on my home screen into a custom order, preferably via drag and drop.
Thank you for considering my suggestions!

When searching in the History of visited sites, if you open a site, the History page is reset to the beginning and you have to search in a new way, and not from the place where the previously opened page was called. Terribly inefficient and annoying!

I have the bookmarks toolbar set to always show. They automatically arrange themselves from left to right. It would be good to be able to arrange them in other ways. Like right to left, in the center, or any other way. Ultimately, the entire browser is not OLED safe. Any icon or button or anything that stays in the same place will wear out the pixels being used to display it. In general, Firefox should be more OLED safe. However you think it can be. And I'd like my bookmarks toolbar to be displayed after I press f11 and then move my cursor to the top.

I need to check the network responses in sites like this: https://www.lights4fun.com/collections/yard-lights And on chromium browsers for instance it works well on the preview tab, which firefox does not have, but on firefox it is show as just one single line, which is not readable. I found out that in the past it had the preview tab, but it seems it was removed and now there is just the response tab which shows one single line only. Is there a plan to change it so the response is formatted and readable? You can filter the responses in this page with the word "filter" to see 2 examples of what I say. I like firefox and would like it to have this important feature so I dont need to use another.

When performing a download on Firefox for Android with the External Download Manager option ticked, you get to chose which download manager you would like to use as well as having the option to complete the download with Firefox anyway. This can be particularly annoying when downloading many files one after another. As such setting a default download manager along with adding a small indicator to say a download has been added would be a good addition. TL;DR: Prevent the need for this popup by adding the ability to set a default download manager.

Currently, in Thunderbird, only one reminder can be configured by default.
I'm talking about reminder and not notification which is only on the Thunderbird client.
I would love to be able to set up multiple default reminders when I create an event, without having to do it for every event.
There is no extension that fulfills this role and it's a shame to be limited to one reminder in the options when it's possible to configure several in the event editor. Especially for me, who is a bit forgetful...

Currently, if you delete the US english dictionary it gets reinstalled everytime you update firefox, and if you just deselected it gets reselected as default when you update. You should be able to easily remove US english dictionary without deleting files manual, and as long as another dictionary is install, it should get reinstalled every time you update (as they just discourage people from updating). Firefox should also respect preferences between dictionaries across updates, restarts, different website etcs. You should not have to manually deselect US english and select another dictionary instead every time you type into a new website. There needs to be a way of changing the global default, permanently. The USA isn't the centre of the universe!

1) Suggestion for the pop-up "ADD BOOKMARK". Add a "LOCATION SEARCH BOX" where we can type in the WHOLE WORD or PHRASE that we are searching for. This makes much more sense then the crazy way we have to do it now. In the existing way, we only get one single key! We have to hit it over and over and over dozens of times until we find the word we were searching for (very hard to catch all the titles doing this);- AND - the existing folder has to have been saved using the exact same FIRST LETTER in the FIRST WORD in the TITLE of the EXISTING FOLDER - which commonly has not been done - because; #1 we haven't started/noticed a pattern to group things together yet - and #2 especially when we do a QUICK SAVE and the title is pre-populated by the creator and they NEVER put a SINGLE WORD SUBJECT, as the FIRST WORD in their TITLE of their page. We do QUICK SAVES because finding folders to save new bookmarks in it TOO HARD and takes TOO LONG. See what I mean? There is a great need in the ADD BOOKMARK popup box; to have a SEARCH BOX under LOCATION but before "BOOKMARK: TOOLBAR, MENU, OTHER -wise"; in order to properly (intuitively & as fast as possible) SEARCH and FIND ALL EXISTING BOOKMARK FOLDER(S), that have titles containing the word/phrase you're specifically searching for. This would also bring to our attention all the other misfiled folders. We will also need a way to click on the folders in the SEARCH RESULTS LIST and move them as well into a "main-folder" for the single subject matter. This dilemma may need creating new "main-folder(s)" and/or new "sub-folders" at the same time or consecutively. ie: 1st put the ones you want in the 1st "main-folder"; "SAVE" it. Then; 2ndly re-search the same key-word/phrase... and put them in the other "main folder" you had in mind; and so on. I'm extremely good at analytical thinking and I imagine everyone just about, has an issue with organizing their BOOKMARKS well after their BOOKMARKS are overrun and not at all organized in any logical sort of way to use them expeditiously as intended to be a tool at our fingertips to add to though processes while working on something rather than to become a whole new issue/problem finding the right BOOKMARK, not knowing if you got them all or filed it by the same title/phrase... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll mention these other two issue because they're related and it might be prudent to fix at the same time: 2)CREATING FOLDER OUTLINE BY HIERARCHY and 3)DUPLICATE SAVES OF SAME BOOKMARK PAGE. Its also hard when a saved page "BOOKMARK" can not be saved in more than one place when this does not work with our filing systems' needs. ie: subject: "Natural Supplements for Cancer". When you have files for each member of the family under their name say GRANDMOM-KIM (main folder) sub-folder under "HEALTH" tertiary folder under "CANCER" 4thiary folder(s) "BREAST" and "SKIN", Plus your husbands father has his folders: GRANDDAD-JIM/HEALTH/CANCER/PROSTATE/BLADDER. in which we can "ADD [A NEW] BOOKMARK" or equally as important "REFILE BOOKMARKS" in its better place. ...This is a good example of the dilemma we all encounter when doing research. We really could use a template for HEALTH folders that someone already thought of all possibilities out there from our existing messy BOOKMARK folder systems. It was SO much EASIER when we could just DRAG & DROP folders WITHIN the FOLDER COLUMN. And when we created a NEW FOLDER it would appear RIGHT WHERE WE WERE in the OUTLINE (FOLDER COLUMN). Ideally, I'd like to ALSO be able to go to a full screen of bookmarks and have 2-3 columns where I could drag and drop folders until I was satisfied with the final placement/organizational structure. Being able to pull things up by KEY WORD now doesn't work right. We need to see the EXISTING OUTLINE STRUCTURE - where and how is the existing stuff organized around it. And then, move each and every folder pulled up by various key words into one or two EXISTING AREAS. And creating the proper TIERS of HIERARCHY.

It would be nice to be able to switch between plain-text and HTML composition modes in the email-composition window.
Today I had to change my account settings to send an HTML e-mail. This should be possible easier, even when the account default is to compose in plain-text mode, there apparently are cases when this is desired. I could imagine an plain-text/HTML button in the button bar with the "send, spelling, security, safe" buttons, or an option in the Options menu to compose HTML when the default is plain-text or vice versa.
I would be OK with a warning (or even, would like to have a warning) somewhere when the account-default is plain-text and the composition mode is set to HTML, since HTML e-mail is seen as unwanted to send in this case. Vice versa, I could imagine that people who normally send HTML mail would like an explicit notice that they are sending plain-text now.

Safari on macOS shows the URLs in activity, here's an example with Roblox.com opened in Safari: Here are some Firefox processes listed in task manager, they don't show URLs. I'm not 100% sure how Firefox handles each tab with process, like whether each tab has its own process or whatnot, but I think it would be very useful for each process to name URLs / tabs its handling to get an idea of how many system resources its using, even if it's not precise. Since I use my browser the most on macOS, it tends to use the most resources by far.
