On Thunderbird Android, right now, it's annoying coming from a PKB Blackberry Hub experience because we'd like to assign hotkey shortcuts to launch account menu, bu can't. It would help for PKB users to have a hotkey.
Additionally, it would help to have a single thumb navigation, by flipping the account menu to be accessed by swiping from the right edge of the screen instead of left.

Hello,
Just like Arc browser allows it: that would be great to be able to change the current tab switch shortcuts with custom ones.
For instance I would want to use Option+H and Option+L to switch between tabs left and right
And Ctrl+H and Ctrl+L to switch between tabs in a tab switcher, containing only the recently opened ones

Currently, there is only a general thunderbird setting to control notifications.
Users with multiple accounts might not need to receive notifications on all accounts, and being unable to distinguish between important and unimportant messages, especially in the case of the badge icon counter
Please add the ability to toggle notifications (system notifications/badge icon counter) per account instead of globally.

Currently, Open links in apps option only has 3 options. It would improve user experience if there's an option to remember the status based on URL. Use case: When I open a link for Play Store, I want to save the status to open all future Play Store link in app. But for Amazon links, I do not want to open it in app. Currently there is no such control of granularity between different URLS This is a feature request to add option for Firefox Mobile to remember Open links in apps status based on URL

When opening #Firefox library window to manage my bookmarks, I would expect that i can start typing right away to find the bookmark of interest. But in my Firefox 128.5.2esr (64-bit) on Linux with KDE desktop, I have to aim and click before starting to type. That is annoying and Firefox should always put the cursor into the only input field or main input field of the window.

In noticed the updated Thunderbird Android webpage is highlighting that it can support multiple email accounts within TB Android/K-9. (an existing feature).
It would be super useful to also be able to MOVE emails between different email accounts, as opposed to the current restriction of only moving email within folders of the existing account.
I realize that it's trickier, but it sure would be very handy.
Thanks.

I often edit my userChrome.css and when Browser Toolbox is opened in a separate window, I have to arrange both my Firefox and the toolbox window, and switch back to both when switching between my code editor and them. It should just show in the same window.

In Thunderbird for Android v8.2 I have seen this display of the opened burger menu.
The readability suffers as too much information is squeezed in a row:
on the left the icons for account selection, refresh and settings
on the right the names of the folders
The result is that folder names are more often broken into several lines. 😥
In K9Mail (v6.9) the icons of the left column (account selection, settings) were vertically above and below the folder list. This reduces the necessary total width. Please consider to revert this change. The screenshot above was taken on a big screen with a system font size, bigger than normal (visual impairment 👵👓).
Additional improvement may be achieved by hiding the [Google Mail] or [Gmail] prefix (see Folder naming for Thunderbird mobile).

It would be nice to have an option to deactivate a email account in Thunderbird temporarily; maybe as well together with a date time when it will re-activate automatically.
This would be nice for users who e. g. have their working email account and want to pause receiving emails in their holidays.

It would be helpful if URLs containing Unicode characters (or specially marked Unicode characters) were highlighted with a red outline. This visual cue could alert users that the website might be suspicious. Additionally, hovering over the outlined characters could display more information about potential spoofing attempts, such as IDN homograph attacks, to educate users about the risks. Yes, my UI design skills are amazing 🙂

Right now only all unsent messages can be sent as specified here: https://superuser.com/questions/1329174/how-to-send-a-message-in-thunderbird-that-is-in-your-outbox and here https://kb.mozillazine.org/Outbox#Sending_mail_in_the_Outbox
You cannot select which messages in the Outbox will be sent. You can only send them all. If you want to send some messages in the Outbox but not others, you could move the others to another folder temporarily.
It would be great if we could right click on an email, or a list of selected emails, in the outbox and have an option to "Send Selected Messages".
I just want to note that even the workaround doesn't work very well because after moving messages to a new folder, they cannot be moved back to the Outbox folder by selecting them and doing "Move To", rather, they have to be opened, one by one, and then click send, and this creates a copy to the outbox which then means that then the message in the folder it was moved to has to also be deleted manually.

First, I would keep the "Do Not Track" option but add a clear notice explaining its limitations and the fact that many websites do not respect the special HTTP header signal. Instead of removing it completely that allows for a chance of them respecting the special HTTP header signal, users who still want to use it can do so and with a full understanding of its lack of guarantee in its effectiveness.
Simultaneously, I would focus on educating users about the new, more robust privacy features like Enhanced Tracking Protection and Total Cookie Protection. Over time, as users become more familiar with these stronger privacy measures, I could gradually phase out the "Do Not Track" option, ensuring a smooth transition without leaving users feeling like they've lost a privacy tool.
This approach balances maintaining user choice while steering them towards more effective privacy protections.

Add a box you can uncheck on the 'Manage extension' page next to each addon/theme to disable them from syncing with other browsers on your account.
This would be useful in at least two places:
Setting different themes in nightly so is visually obvious which Firefox is open (I daliy normal FF but use nightly for testing code)
Only have performance add-ons were needed (eg h264ify on my old pc but not my new laptop)
Seriously Firefox devs, PLEASE add this, the lack of it is a problem for me every day, and when I switch computers I need to manually toggle about 5 things off and on just to do work (and by work I mean the all-important pastime of video watch).

https://portableapps.com/node/71965 It sounds like someone was having an issue with using a feature in Firefox due to their computer's group policy settings. So I have a feature request for Firefox, to add an advanced setting or parameter to the install sequence such as when /s silent installs are done that would allow an alternative to the registry, like reading from a local config file instead of the registry?

Firefox has very handy feature "Search for text when you start typing", with it enabled when you start typing on any page without any input field focused, Firefox calls "Find on page" form (Ctrl + F) and puts inputted text in it. I would like to have an option for this feature to type in the addressfield instead, because I search to text on page pretty rarely, but I type in the addressfield all the time. It would be handy for me to now use the CTRL + L shortcut all the time, and just start to type.

Hi,
Default behavior is that when writing an email, each time you press enter it creates an empty line.
1°The option is not so easy to find and that it why you see so many online posts providing a solution to this. This might annoy new thunderbird users, especially old people who just want to write as they usually do anywhere else.
Libre office, gmail, outlook, don't default their editor adding automatically a new line while pressing enter so why Thunderbird?
