Windows Registry Opt-out for Firefox using config file instead

It sounds like someone was having an issue with using a feature in Firefox due to their computer's group policy settings.

So I have a feature request for Firefox, to add an advanced setting or parameter to the install sequence such as when /s silent installs are done that would allow an alternative to the registry, like reading from a local config file instead of the registry?
