Bring back the ability to choose the theme and page background colors separately instead of always forcing black. I've tried every suggestion I can find here to have a white page, black text, and the radio buttons visible again. On nearly every page with radio buttons I can only find them by hovering my mouse around until I find the one I want. Just two choices are needed, make the page background any color we choose and what theme do we want to add. If it helps or matters, I have Firefox Ver. 97.0.1 64 bit with Windows 10 Ver. 19043.1566.

Edge, Chrome, and Opera support importmaps; Firefox does not. Web development is a spaghetti nightmare: countless libraries of various versions, inconsistent browser feature support, along with many build tools of various versions with endless specific dependencies and very poor documentation. With modern support for ES Modules, the ability to use importmaps would be a great compliment. https://caniuse.com/import-maps

Similar to how we can have separators between bookmarks in our bookmarks bar, I would like to be able to use separators to group my extensions and other toolbar buttons in the toolbar and overflow menu. I already have them clustered by purpose - privacy, content injection, other - but having a visual separation would be pleasing.

Many users do not like the new print user interface, so they have been staying with the old print user interface by setting print.tab_modal.enabled to false. Everything was fine until Firefox 97 removed this option. Many users have complained about this on support.mozilla.org. I normally print to PDF and do not want a preview. I usually do a "postview" to check the resulting PDF. The new print user interface would just slow things down without providing me with any benefit. The old print preview should be available for those users who need it. I have reverted to Firefox 96.0.3. Please bring back the whole of the old print user interface, i.e. what was provided by setting print.tab_modal.enabled to false.

When setting custom extension shortcuts via the "Manage Extension Shortcuts" menu item, it should be possible to use special characters such as "[". For example I've tried adding the shortcut "command + option + [" for switching between tab groups via the "Simple Tab Groups" extension which mirrors the built-in shortcut for switching between tabs. However when I try this I get the error message "Type a letter". Since built-in shortcuts contain special characters this limitation doesn't make sense.

Sometimes, I want to reopen a tab that I closed a few seconds, minutes or hours ago. Firefox already offers a list of 'recently closed tabs (and windows)', but the function is too many clicks away if you regularly use it. On the other hand, we don't want to bloat the interface with this secondary function if it isn't used. So an optional toolbar button seems to be the perfect (and easy to implement?) solution! Current solution: 3 clicks "Library" button > "History" > "Recently closed tabs" > [list] Suggested solution: 1 click "Recently closed tabs" button > [list]

I am using both the standard Firefox and Firefox Nightly, and I would prefer to make it easy to know which version I am currently using by having different themes active. When I switch the theme on one of them, the other changes also to use the same theme. So I can not easily distinguish which version I'm using without reading the name in the top left corner.

Hello, I am Samuel. Firefox is a magnificent product, but the password manager is quite weird that it is not password protected naturally, so I need to give it a primary password. The problem now is I need to input that primary password many times even though I didn't use the password. I know it might be designed for security, so can you integrate it with Windows Hello like Chrome, so I can use fingerprints or IR camera when I need to input the primary password? Or you can reduce the scenery where I need to input the password and make it only happen when I am using the password manager? Thanks a lot.

Sometimes ISPs Or Servers Or Cables or etc Have Problems So That downloads get Interrupted. There Are Some Add-ons but they don't Seem to be Updated and as a result they don't work.

For example, say you have https://example.org/long/path open in a background tab already, and you want to open the same URI in your current tab, so you start typing example.org into the address bar. Autocomplete shows you https://example.org/long/path [Switch to Tab], so you scroll down and select it so you don't need to type the entire address with the long path into the address bar. Now the address bar says [Switch to Tab:] https://example.org/long/path, but you want to instead open the site in your current tab, and not switch to the already open tab. Clicking on the [Switch to Tab] icon in the address bar does nothing and doesn't get rid of it. Visually, the only option is to either hit enter, and thus switch to the already open tab, or change the address in some way that autocomplete doesn't recognize it as the address of an already open tab. The solution I found to this issue is to start typing in the address bar, which changes the address slightly, then delete the changes and it removes the [Switch to Tab:] badge, allowing you to just hit enter and open the address in your current tab. I don't think that behavior is intuitive or accessible. I think simply putting an exit icon like an x on the badge to be a good visual solution, like [x Switch to Tab:] https://example.org/long/path. Also, hitting the Esc key on your keyboard should also get rid of the [Switch to Tab:] badge from the address bar when you don't watch to switch to the tab. I attached a screenshot as an example.

Hiding the addons is just stupid:
1. One cannot see if addons are working or not;
2. One cannot adjust addons to websites (script disablers, adblockers etc);
3. It is just dumb.

I am sure you are aware of the Firefox Printer Dialog Box and its short comings. As a writer, Firefox Printer Dialog Box is a pain the rear to use. Nearly every time I click on the “Print” icon, I know I am going to have to go to the bottom of the box and click on System Printer Dialog Box. From reading items on the Firefox box in the community comments (please read those comments), most Firefox readers agree with me. Firefox has taken several steps backwards by creating its own Printer Dialog Box. Here is what I need. I need collated printing, especially when I print large articles for distribution. I need to be able to print a range of pages (2-5, 4-6). I need to customize my margins on print out. I need to direct # of boxes per page especially for thought comments. I need shades of color and black. Lastly, I have a family and work late at night to all night, I need a quiet mode. All of these features are offered in the System Printer Dialog Box. So, why not just give Firefox users the System Dialog Box?

Firefox has a very nifty feature which allows user to create a custom search engine form any link that consists of a query. User just needs to bookmark any search result page and replace one of the query parts with "%s" and give that bookmark a keyword. For example, if I bookmark "https://www.google.com/search?q=Firefox", but replace "Firefox" with "%s" and set its keyword to "/g", I can type "/g cat" to search for "cat" in Google. This feature is extremely helpful for anyone that is working with websites that did not create their search plugins. I think that this feature needs more attention and ability to create bookmarks with multiple variables instead of only %s. This could be done by allowing user to create multiple variables in a more complex http queries and add multiple keywords for a bookmark. This could work as below. User bookmarks url: https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?q=test&advanced=true&collapse_discussion=true&search_type=thread&search_page_size=30. User replaces "test" and "30" with "%s" and "%s0". User sets keywords for said bookmark: 'moz; -p; and saves. If user types in the address bar: 'moz test -p 30 it will generate the same url as in point 1. There should be a limit to the number of variables per bookmark, but it should be set to 5 and editable by about:config. In case of using more variables, they would be represented in the url as: %s, %s0, %s1, %s2, and so on.

Hello, the Firefox app for Android allows you to collect and organize cards into groups called "Collections". 1. It would be advisable to give the possibility to ask for confirmation in case you try to delete a site present in the "Collections". 2. It would be useful to be able to manage the position of the various sites stored in the "Collections" In fact, it often happens to me to delete a site by mistake, so I put it back and I find it at the top of the "Collection". Thank you for your attention and congratulations on the work you do. Pasquale

When setting the Bookmark Toolbar to only show on New Tab, when you switch between a new tab and another tab (say, youtube for example) you can see the website adapt to the new size . It would be better to keep the sites at their size without the Bookmark toolbar in the background to not see this adjustment.

Wasn't there (once upon a time) an extension for Firefox to modify right-click menu?

In past when I bookmarked a link I could've added description or notes to it. the type of notes I used to add to Description field: where I learned about the website/link. What that page or utility does for some shopping sites, I would add the restriction of that websites, for example the minimum order, the locations they delivered to, what is the delivery cost etc. Specially if it is outdated website, I add Issues that the website had and workarounds. It is just useful when you needed it. right now I add these to the Name field. But it is not that efficient .
