Personally, I would love a message filter that would automatically convert selected emails and attachments to a pdf format and then save them to a default folder.

In my inbox I maintain some mails, starred and highlighted for attention at a later time.
However if I delete a mail directly above a highlighted mail, then the latter is set back to normal mail, therefore I have to highlight the mail again.
Could it be fixed so that the message retains it attributes regardless of what goes on around it?
Many thanks,

Delete ALT+SHIFT I often use this combination to switch from the German keyboard layout to the English one. And always accidentally. It's frustrating. Why doesn't Firefox just accept the system settings???

Hello everyone. My apologies for posting in the wrong forum.
I use my keyboard much more than my mouse, so when I print, I press CTRL-P (instead of looking for the option in the menu with the mouse) and then I press "M" to go the "Microsoft Print to PDF" printer in the dropdown and press ENTER. This doesn't work so well in Firefox, because the printers in the Firefox print dialog dropdown are sorted in REVERSE ALPHABETICAL ORDER so instead of selecting Microsoft Print to PDF it jumps first to Microsoft XPS Document Writer (which I know neither what it is nor how to delete). So it would be nice if that was sorted in FORWARD ALPHABETICAL ORDER please, because that would be normal and compliant. Thanks.

This suggestion is probably more relevant for a website administrator and associated staff...
Where a website has multiple sections each requiring a different username/password first display saved username/password details relevant to that page and then any other saved username/password details...
For Example: One could access said site's Forum, Email Ticketing, Database Management or System Management systems - each of these being available from a different URL (eg: http://example.com/forum, http://example.com/tickets, http://example.com/database and http://example.com/system) and the relevant username/password if different for each page...
The first prompted username/password that is shown should be based on the URL with all other saved username/password details shown following.

The Library window will open if there is a download in progress in Firefox. If the Library window is the only Firefox window open and its closed, there is no warning and it just closes. I tested this in private mode - When downloading a file in this mode, the downloads page opens in a new tab instead of a window like normal mode. When closing this downloads tab in private mode and its the only tab open, a warning will show saying downloads are in progress...

Using the date attribute in an HTML form, the date picker seems perfect. However, after choosing the date, there is no option like 'Today' to return to the current calendar day. I wonder why Mozilla does not have this option, while the other browsers have that option so that the user can quickly get to the current day/date. I think it would be convenient if Mozilla added this option, too.

Firefox focus haves a button "open in" when you click on it it asked to open in a other app. Sometimes it only shows 1 like the other browser and sometimes 2 like the other browser and google drive. I want to have a option if you click on the button "open in" and it shows only one option that it choose automatically that option instead of unnecessary clicking on 1 choice. I know some people disagree with this so it's better to give a option to change this instead of change the way how it works for everyone.

Quite often I run into problems with sites that have SSO (like google related apps), because I've chosen a preferred container at some point (and I do want that, because it's correct most of the time). It makes it impossible to login with a different account in a different container though.
The proposed idea would be a mode to open a session in a container that is "sticky", so will never auto-switch to a different container based on the site.

Cmd+` is the default Mac keyboard shortcut for switching between windows within an app. It works in Safari but not in Firefox, which is extremely inconvenient. I want to stick with Firefox, but I might have to switch browsers if this can't be fixed because without this shortcut, it's very hard to drag tabs to different windows, which is something I do a lot.

When forwarding messages (spam) by a filter, it would be better if the option was there to forward as an attachment, as often forwarding as a plain message gets rejected by the postmaster

I often drag down particular tabs to separate them from the current window & open them in a new one. Occasionally, I fail to drag them far enough and they end up being added to my toolbar. It'd be awesome if we had a feature to lock the toolbar, so it's impossible to add/remove anything to/from it without unlocking again. (Kinda like the feature that allows you to lock the home screen on Android)

Currently, Thunderbird does not have any capability of viewing the decrypted message source or to save a decrypted copy of a PGP or S/MIME encrypted message.
I'd like to request the addition of both capabilities. * "View source as plaintext" is needed because HTML E-Mails aren't rendered, so it's sometimes necessary to grep stuff out of the HTML source code of the encrypted message. * "Save as plaintext" is necessary to allow reporting of abuse/phishing, to add a message to other systems (DMS, CRM, ...), as well as in case of legal actions to allow providing a copy of messages as evidence (ok technically a print is often also enough, but not always) WITHOUT also having to disclose the private key every time.
From a security perspective, adding such a feature is not much different than forwarding the mail (except that forwarding loses all the headers and such). But it would greatly improve usability.
A workaround is to export the private key from Thunderbird and either share it every time a message should be saved as eml (the worst option, but currently has the best usability...) or export the key from Thunderbird and waste hours decrypting it using OpenSSL and then attaching/saving the message to something else (very very poor usability, but doesn't require sharing the private key...)

Add an option to have a window dedicated to pinned tabs only and that has nothing like URL bar and bookmarks bar. It could be an alternative to those like me who want the return of PWA

Currently, middle click opens new copies of the clicked tabs
I don't understand why you would want to do that and have to have a small [X] close button next to the tab
In the rest of Firefox, middle clicking a tab will close it, not open copies

It would be very useful to open links in Thunderbird in a different multi-account container depending on the email account open. For example, work emails could be set to open links in work container. This is useful for when there is a Dropbox, Google Drive, or any other restricted cloud link sent in a work/school email that only a specific account from Firefox can access. Thunderbird
