I often drag down particular tabs to separate them from the current window & open them in a new one. Occasionally, I fail to drag them far enough and they end up being added to my toolbar. It'd be awesome if we had a feature to lock the toolbar, so it's impossible to add/remove anything to/from it without unlocking again. (Kinda like the feature that allows you to lock the home screen on Android)

Currently, Thunderbird does not have any capability of viewing the decrypted message source or to save a decrypted copy of a PGP or S/MIME encrypted message.
I'd like to request the addition of both capabilities. * "View source as plaintext" is needed because HTML E-Mails aren't rendered, so it's sometimes necessary to grep stuff out of the HTML source code of the encrypted message. * "Save as plaintext" is necessary to allow reporting of abuse/phishing, to add a message to other systems (DMS, CRM, ...), as well as in case of legal actions to allow providing a copy of messages as evidence (ok technically a print is often also enough, but not always) WITHOUT also having to disclose the private key every time.
From a security perspective, adding such a feature is not much different than forwarding the mail (except that forwarding loses all the headers and such). But it would greatly improve usability.
A workaround is to export the private key from Thunderbird and either share it every time a message should be saved as eml (the worst option, but currently has the best usability...) or export the key from Thunderbird and waste hours decrypting it using OpenSSL and then attaching/saving the message to something else (very very poor usability, but doesn't require sharing the private key...)

Thanks for a useful program. I would find it useful to be able to display a list of emails on the left hand side of the screen and the selected email's content on the right hand side. Thanks.

Surely like me, many would like to have the possibility to choose between two options;
1 - Show More Bookmarks.
2 - Add More Marker Bars.
It is better to have bookmarks visible and more accessible in a bar than clicking to search in a dropdown menu.

Thunderbird should have Similar kind of Firefox Account, Due to Which All Account Passwords, Settings, Email Filters, Add-ons & Extension, Custom Settings etc. etc. saved and can be used on another PC by Just Login. This will also help for the Users who travel but do not carry their laptop or Mac Book. Also this will be useful for the users at the time when they format their devices.

The "quick peek" feature in full screen mode is useful: when hovering the mouse on the top edge of screen in full screen mode, tab bar and address bar will pop up to allow you to change tabs, enter new address, interact with extensions, etc. full screen mode in Firefox However, the transition of the popped-up bars is extremely unnatural. The entire webpage move down without any animation to clear some space for top bars. And it will suddenly move up when you exit top-hovering. Forcing users to watch the webpage jumping back and forth simply because they what to peek the bars is not a very good idea. Actually, please do not change how the webpage is displayed unless the user intended to do so. top hovering in full screen modeA better way of handling this is to keep the webpage still and display the top bars over the web content when hovering, ether with transition animation or not. Of course, the scroll bar still needs to be shortened and updated. I believe this modification can greatly improve the user experience in full screen mode. Hope we can see this in future updates.

Imagine this: Sometimes you have to keep 10+ tabs open. Sometimes, even more. What if after a while (30minutes or 2h, or custom) they just reduced their size to the icon. This would be a lot better to know what you're actually using and what you're just keeping open. Also, as a plus, it gives you a lot less information to look at, at the top of your screen.

A minor suggestion, from a curmudgeonly keyboard shortcuts power-user: I use "find in page" searches a lot, and am greatly slowed by having to move from typing my search term to using the mouse to cycle through matches (by clicking the up and down arrows in the "find in page" GUI bar). It would be great if, when a search results in multiple matches, I could just press Ctrl+f repeatedly to cycle through the matches. Thanks for all the thankless work on your great products and keeping the web open!

At present Firefox Desktop web pages size can be increased only for one page not for whole browser in setting. for 4K and higher display users it is tedious job to upscale each new pages. Opera has browser level setting
Need a option to scale browser level and as well page/tab lever so that user can have full control.

If at least one specllchecker dictionary is installed, the spell check option and therefore the languages submenu, from where one can install additional dictionaries, becomes available. As described on the following documentation page in section Adding dictionaries: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-use-firefox-spell-checker
However, if there is not any dictionary installed yet (what was for me the case with a fresh installation - german language pack), there is no entry for spell checking in the context menu. And therefore the "Language" submenu to install dictionaries is missing as well. You have to manually search and navigate to the page with links to dictionaries to fix this. I head to search a few minutes to find the solution for this issue, as I was looking for the missing spell check context menu entry as I am used to on my other PC.
Proposal: Instead of removing any reference to spellchecking from the context menu, if there is no dictionary installed, show at least a shortcut entry to the dictionary installation page. Like "Install spell checker dictionary..." etc. Similar as in the "Language" submenu.

Wish that when we select a word or words , it offers to copy the selection so that we can copy with just one click and then paste it wherever we want. This option is there in Opera .So why cant we too have it

I try to use less power, so I just use my monitor as a light source when browsing. When I open a private window, I can't see my keyboard because of the black background. Could the background color of the private window be white?

Allow setting an overriding default to outgoing replies by preferably formatting all email headers to "Firstname Lastname <username@somewhere.com>", or to "Display Name <username@somewhere.com>", where Display Name is set in the Address Book, i.e. just above the option to select "Prefer display name over message header"

It would be useful if a list of tab thumbnails were overlaid when switching tabs with Ctrl+Tab in Firefox, like when switching apps in Windows. This feature would be useful in full screen mode and could replace the tab bar.

Add an option to have a window dedicated to pinned tabs only and that has nothing like URL bar and bookmarks bar. It could be an alternative to those like me who want the return of PWA

I apologize if I don't use the correct terminology! I am a Mac user and in most web browsers, you can grab the application anywhere along the top where the tabs are to move it on the desktop. In Firefox, when you have a lot of tabs open, you can only grab at the ends. This can be pretty frustrating and time consuming. If you could just give us a little room around each and every tab to grab and drag the app on the desktop, that would be wonderful!

Currently, middle click opens new copies of the clicked tabs
I don't understand why you would want to do that and have to have a small [X] close button next to the tab
In the rest of Firefox, middle clicking a tab will close it, not open copies
