Hello
Several times I have been asked to help people to scan (often multiple page) documents and send them via e-Mail. They mostly have a scanner and use it with business software, that has all settings already chosen for them. Then if they want to scan something without that software they fail at choosing the right external application. And then they have almost no clue what all the different file types are.
In the New Message window under the attachments dropdown menu, please can you add a scanner dialog that is simple to use even for non technical people. Especially for choosing the right file type and quality settings. Add a handful of choosen presets like for text or photos, and a easy representation (maybe stars) of quality vs. file size.
Here in germany FAX machines are still popular. I think one of the reasons this is that their workflow is pretty straight forward. If I think about it, a modern IT equivalent to that would be an e-Mail client that can directly scan into attachments. In that context i wonder why this has not been implemented like decades ago.

Using privacytests.org test on mobile. I found that android firefox doesn't have a favicon cache that's partitioned. This means that a website can track users across the web using their favicon cache. Most browsers seam to have this, but Firefox mobile doesn't. I guess that would be a fairly easy thing to implement? That would improve firefox androids ability to resist fingerprinting tracking. The test: https://privacytests.org/archive/issue83/android

Hi dear product manager, Firefox is an amazing web browser and China netizens love it so much! However China users now only can enjoy version 116! Comparing with the current version users of Firefox, we are under-developed netizens 😞 Could Firefox China work harder to bring the up-to-date version to China users so we can enjoy it? Thanks a lot🌹

I now receive multiple junk/spam emails which are dated in the future. This is presumably so the emails appear at the end of my inbox.
It would be good to have an enhancement to the Thunderbird, Message Filters, Date rule, by adding a conditional, like isAfterTodayBy n hours, days, or weeks. Or something similar that references the date the Date rule is executed.
I like and always use Thunderbird personally. Keep up the good work.

This is an accessibility request. I use Firefox to listen to Youtube videos while driving. If I need to rewind a video due to having missed something, it requires taking it out of my pocket, turning the screen on, opening Firefox, and double tapping to rewind. It is a lot of steps to perform while driving, and is not ideal. My car has the bluetooth seek buttons, which Android can use in a music playing app to go to the previous track or the next track. In Firefox, these buttons do nothing. I'd like to submit a feature request so that these buttons can optionally be used in Firefox to perform the rewind/fast forward feature in Youtube. I am not sure about other websites for audio streaming, but if there are other popular sites for audio playback this could work for them as well. I feel this would make it much safer to use Firefox to listen to audio while driving, as well as easier in general. And this feature has uses outside of just while driving. I will listen to a video through a Bluetooth speaker in other scenarios as well, and being able to rewind via those commonly available buttons would be very useful.

In Thunderbird calendar all appointments (events, tasks) show as blue. Please let me select a color, say from 6 or 8, so I can put different categories of my appointments in different colors. That would make it much more usable.

When I'm doing a search from the browser Firefox in "normal mode" I often open the results links in an anonymous window, doing this operation several times I find myself with many anoynous windows open with a single tab. It would be handy if when opening an anonymous window, subsequent anonymous windows were grouped in the same window as tabs. This feature is already present in Edge and Chrome browsers.

a string with currency symbols (special or abbvs) and numbers gets into the search string. site recognizes this and answers either with its own conversion into $ (depends on settings..) or with usual list of sites specializes on such conversions but with the proper data already filled in their fields and (nb!) instantly visible in the list of the search results.
generally this way may be fitted for other qiuck daily data as well 😉
thanx, with hopes and best wishes ))

#Thunderbird The ability to add User-Defined Unified Folders.
Example 1: People are sent receipts and registrations from many places. They set up a "Receipts and Registrations" folder. These need to be able to be on line where they are backed up and available from multiple their devices, something local folders cannot provide.
Example 2: Adding to Example 1: Small business has visibility of multiple email accounts for employees. They check "Receipts and Registrations" for the week to post to purchase orders or to reconcile credit card accounts, plus maintain proper documentation for an accounting audit. They can search across multiple accounts for the paperwork.
Example 3: Users may have any number of folders that they add to each account that they want to see the contents consolidated / unified for. People are getting more and more email addresses these days. I've notice people have searched a lot for this feature.

I use thunderbird since years and i'm fully happy with it.
Now i had a customer, which currently uses a webmail solution with a "deskapp" wrapper. Currently plan to move away from it and the first idea was to use thunderbird with a caldav backend (nextcloud with tbsync) .
The only issue which some users mentioned was, that they currently have a calendar view to see the calendar paralel and not merged in one view (with different colors). So that he can set the "day view" and see each persons calendar side by side. To view which person has on which time a free slot is then better when you have around 15 people (remember the color of each is not so easy for all). Outlook has also this feature when viewing calender. (arrow to left and right on a calendar) so i added one from outlook here (german version).
I searched but don't find any feature request relatet to it. First i think, perhaps someone write an addon, but don't find any 😞 I't woul'd be greate to have this feature.

F11 toggles fullscreen.
If you set 'browser.fullscreen.autohide' to 'false' in the about:config, you can have full width with tabs.
Would really appreciate a key-press like shift+F11 to toggle the tabs functionality.

Let me explain... the history tab is seriously OUTDATED, and it doesn't work that good. Why is it bad? -The UI and UX need major attention, the current one looks old and inefficient. -It only needs 3 group button: All, Recently Closed and Tab History or whatever, just change it. How to fix it: -Compared to Microsoft Edge history bar, take notes from them it's really on point. Off topic -Also a tab group button should be a sweet improvement ( when you press the folder it shows all the tabs in the folder and replaces the old ones ). Good luck, love this browser! ❤️🙃

The thunder bird system will only accept incoming email addresses which has been sent in the first place by the sender .Any incoming emails not sent by the sender will go to a special folder .Thereafter the TBS will allow the sender to mark the email in the special folder as accepted and further emails will be accepted in the normal way.

Hi,
CHROME has a very useful service/indicator.
It has a DOWNLOAD indicator/tab which is VERY, VERY USEFUL specially if one wishes to avoid OVERLOADING the system with multiple downloads simultaneously. It also reduces the chances of FAILED DOWNLOADS.
Can we have a similar system on FIREFOX. The present one is a non-starter; sorry!

I am interested to know if Firefox has an approved Bionic Reading App available. If not, I would urge Firefox to look at approving a reading app to help those like me who would benefit from it. I don't want to install anything currently that is not monitored by Firefox.
