On iPad, zoom has to be adjusted manually for each site and tab. In Firefox, this currently takes three taps every time, which becomes repetitive and inconvenient.
Safari on iPad already offers a global default zoom option, and it makes browsing much smoother. Chrome doesn’t seem to have this, which gives Firefox an opportunity to match Safari’s accessibility advantage and stand out against Chrome.
A simple setting to choose a default zoom level (e.g. 75%, 110%, 125%) would improve usability, accessibility, and consistency across all websites. It would especially help users who regularly need larger or smaller text, whether for comfort, accessibility, or display size.
Personally, I always set zoom to 75% for a better content view, but right now I have to repeat the same three taps on every single tab.
