Hi! I love the concept of containers but as I began using them, I thought they worked a way that they finally did not.  At first I thought that the assigned tabs to a certain container would kind of remember them. Another way of bookmarking them. But as soon as you close a group or a tab within the group, they are gone. My best example to understand what I mean is the banking container.  I log on certain websites for my banking business. They are always the same, indeed.  I thought that opening a container would call all the tabs I previously opened before.  Since I do business with always the same banking institutions and sites, I thought that a container remembering a set of established tabs calling the same sites would be nice.  Long life to Mozilla!  ... Currently adding custom AI prompts does not support dynamic placeholders like the URL. This is a huge miss because tab title and highlighted text is often insufficient for a good summary. Also, all chatbots now support web search so sending the URL as context would drastically reduce the window. So URL should either be hardcoded to be sent with current prompts OR we should be able to add it into existing prompts. I love extensions like Dark Reader that automatically transform any website with a dark theme. The way they do this is by injecting many new styles into the DOM, it works but there is two main drawbacks to this method : - there's a latency that makes contents blink - it reduces performances on some websites by a lot So It would be great if there could be a built-in low level solution (directly in web render?) that would swap colors on the fly without editing the page styles and thus would solve the two aforementioned issues. ... I want firefox browser to stay persistant on top of all other applications, with its open tabs. this way I can swap between youtube videos as its always on top, I like to layer my music (jazz, whitenoise and fireplace) and swap between the videos and have them playing in a small window at corner of my screen. (just one tab visible at a time). but the firefox browser always on top other applications just like windows clock/timer can do.    also if can have pop out window of the youtube video like Edge, where the window of the YT video has no borders and stays floating above all other applications, like windows clock or timer. and you can resize that window to place it anywhere on your screen, its a nice little entertainment device for video music or scenic video as I work. Can we have an option to specifically block tracking pixels and show an alert in the message pane if one has been blocked? It would be nice if there was a way to allow a PiP window to survive navigation. To give an example of a use case: Suppose I'm reading a feed with a video in it that's reasonably long (some song) in a web-based feed reader. If I am in the middle of listening by want to read another article, I'm faced with a challenge: Either I navigate, interrupting the video, or I wait; which feels silly.  It would be nice to be able to 'disconnect' a PiP video from the hosting page such that nagivation doesn't break the video.  ... The Multi-Account Containers extension is a very useful addon as it prevents websites from accessing all your browsing data by limiting it inside containers. I love this so much as it enhances the privacy. For example, I keep all meta related websites like facebook, instagram in a seperate container. So the only data they can access is between their own websites and not the rest of my browsing habits. TLDR: Please bring this extension for Android!   ... View more

I propose adding a setting in Firefox that allows users to define how many recently closed Tab Groups are displayed in the "List all tabs" menu. This would provide more flexibility for users who heavily rely on the Tab Groups feature for their workflow. This option could also be an entry in the about:config page. With an open email there is a choice of actions:   Two issues: 1)   The order of these buttons continue to change between versions of TB, a rather irritating 'feature' as people get used a button being in a certain place and then it moves again. 2)  Make the buttons movable by the user, let them decide what buttons and in what order they appear. On iPad, zoom has to be adjusted manually for each site and tab. In Firefox, this currently takes three taps every time, which becomes repetitive and inconvenient. Safari on iPad already offers a global default zoom option, and it makes browsing much smoother. Chrome doesn’t seem to have this, which gives Firefox an opportunity to match Safari’s accessibility advantage and stand out against Chrome. A simple setting to choose a default zoom level (e.g. 75%, 110%, 125%) would improve usability, accessibility, and consistency across all websites. It would especially help users who regularly need larger or smaller text, whether for comfort, accessibility, or display size. Hello,  I think there should be an option to customize the delay for expanding the sidebar with vertical tabs in Firefox. Most times when I want to change tabs, I move my mouse cursor over the sidebar, and I already know which tab it is and don't need to expand the sidebar, but I am unable to click and move my cursor away without the expanding animation starting. I think for me a 1-1.5s delay would be ideal (because sometimes I need to read tab titles), but I didn't find an option to change this. ... View more

Currently: you can provide a primary password (formerly "master password") for the password manager. Firefox will not utilise stored passwords unless the primary password is provided when Firefox starts up. This is weak security in the event your PC is compromised by, for example, someone accessing it without your consent - because if you already have Firefox open, they will have access to all your stored passwords and/or can simply sign in to all the sites for which you have stored passwords. Change request: make it so that at the time Firefox is about to pre-populate a login form (or other sensitive data), it requests the user to provide the primary password.  Options include: * allowing the user to specify that they want this additional level of security i) for all stored passwords; ii) or, alternatively, for stored passwords they specify. * allowing the user to specify that when they provide the primary password, Firefox will not request the primary password again for a specified period of time (eg. 5 minutes) even if the user is wanting to access a different stored password. Sometimes a single account works across several websites, but each site has its own login page URL. Right now, Firefox only lets you save one URL per password, which makes this kind of setup tricky. It’d be super helpful if Firefox allowed us to attach multiple URLs to the same saved password. I have a lot of windows with a lot of tabs open.  I often will click on the nearest address bar to my mouse pointer and type just enough letters for it to say "Switch to Tab" and hit the existing instance of that commonly used page.  The less than idea user experience for me is that the click potentially both switches the active window AND the open tab in that window regardless of what was running in it.  For example, I often have a tab with video running in it in the corner of my screen and if the target window and tab happen to be shared, it'll switch away from what I was watching.  I then have to stop what I was doing, reach over and drag the window to the Firefox window my attention was previously focused on, then go back to the second window to get my video tab back on top.  It's enough mental context switching that I've found myself having to ask "wait, what was I doing again?" when done. I propose that when a user types an address into the bar or select one from the associated pull-down, their intent is that whatever page they requested should appear in the tab they are currently looking at.  The "Switch to Tab" functionality instead kicks them to the potentially distant screen location that happens to have what they wanted on it, forcing them to spend brain cycles moving it to where they wanted to work on it as well as undoing the effect of a tab switch in a window that may have been in use.  An implementation that would be closer to the user intent could be a "Move tab here" button, which would replace the contents of the tab currently in focus with whatever tab "Switch to Tab" would have landed on.  This leaves the other Windows undisturbed (with the exception of a tab being removed) and moves the information to where the user would have been working with it had they not pulled a second copy of a web resource rather than using switch to tab. ...
