Hello, after I was recently forced to restore an ics backup and that due to the number of entries (calendar entries of several years) turned out to be very problematic (error messages or import aborts), I now ask myself if there is a way to automatically delete entries that are older than e.g. 3 months. Of course this can be done manually, but this is more than just time consuming as I found out. There was once the extension "Purge Events", but this was discontinued in 2020. I don’t know about situation on android, so right now I’m speaking mostly about iOS version. Allow user to hide top searchbar/toolbar on long press. Firefox do hide toolbar when you scroll down, but some sites are not scrollable or I’m staying on the same site for a long time, so toolbar popping in and out constantly when I’m moving around is annoying or some times the toolbar takes too much of a valuable space. ... As a volunteer on SUMO, It seems daily we see users unable to send email because their servers are not in sync. And I have yet to see even one believe us when we advise of their error, always claiming that Thunderbird 'magically' switches the servers. This happens when users have more than one email account and two or more accounts are attempting to use the same SMTP server. PLEASE combine this information together. Another reason is that many users are unable to locate their SMTP server settings, even when given detailed instructions on doing so. I was browsing through Twitter while Spotify was playing in a background tab and I needed to go to Spotify tab to pause the song, so I could hear the Twitter video more clearly. I wish that when a video with sound is played on Twitter my Spotify sound volume gets lowered. Sometimes I want to visit a website with JavaScript turned off, but I don't want it to be off for all websites, and I don't even necessarily always want it to be off when I visit the website I'm visiting (for example maybe sometimes I want to read something without popups yelling at me, but other times I want to use their JavaScript-based search bar). I was a long-time desktop (Linux) Thunderbird user, but eventually became frustrated with its inability to automatically sync my contacts with my phone.  I use Outlook.com, but this suggestion equally applies to those who use GMail for contacts storage. I solved my problem by switching to Evolution.  I just enter my email accounts via the "Online Accounts" application and then Evolution seems to make everything work automatically.  I wish Thunderbird could do this too, as I prefer its interface. ... Bookmark titles are not searchable beyond 234 characters. I cannot search for a word lets say X if it is after 234 characters in the bookmark title. If X is within the first 234 characters of a bookmark title I can find the bookmark by searching X. If it is after 234 characters I cannot find the bookmark by searching X. This is a major problem and being able to search the full bookmark title is essential for my work. Shortcuts are great, but you can't create your own and dismissed/deleted Shortcuts are automatically filled in based on your browsing history. This can gunk up the Shortcuts list pretty quick if you're not paying attention and pinning sites you want to keep as they appear. Lets say you have two rows. You've pinned 10 Shortcuts as they're sites you frequent. There is no way to manually add a Shortcut, so the other 6 Shortcuts are then random websites pulled out of your History. And I mean random - like an Amazon page for a coffee maker or some site you'll never visit again that clicked over to from another page. The options with unpinned Shortcuts are Dismiss or Delete From History. But if you choose either, the removed Shortcut is immediately replaced with another, random site*. It would be cool to have the following options: A toggle that allows you to "Disable Automatic Creation of Shortcuts" (for those that don't want them constantly filled up with random sites). The ability to Create New Shortcuts. Like a + on the Home Page. You click it and it opens a "Create New Shortcut" dialog that looks like the Edit Shortcut one, but is empty and allows you to add the info yourself and create a new Shortcut. *Yes, there is a bit of a workaround: If you delete your History you can then go and dismiss all the random, auto created Shortcuts but you still can't create your own and the empty spots start auto populating again after a few site visits. ...
