In the message pane, there is a DELETE button. If you push it, the current message is deleted and the next message is displayed. This is ok when you want to delete one message after the other. I would suggest to add a NEXT button. This would be a way to browse thru messages, deleting some and leaving others. In the current version of Thunderbird you have to doubleclick the next message in the list pane in order to view the next message.

It would be great if #Thunderbird added support for the Firefox Translations add-on
The add-on could allow you to translate received emails you're viewing via a click of a button, or even translate an email you're writing into another language before sending.

How about a calendar setting to execute an application/program, such as open a window and/or link, or send a message/email ?

Thunderbird can decrypt attachments, but not encrypt them, to encrypt files with openpgp it is necessary to use the Kleopatra program, and then attach them. I think it would be a useful function. ---I don't know what I did the first time that let me access the files, now they are encrypted as expected. sorry for the inconvenience

I would like to feed a global family caldav calendar with each members caldav calendar.
So that it won't be necessary in other Thunderbird instances to set up and subscribe to all calendars. Each members could subscribe to its own calendar and to the collective family calendars.
It could be usefull for little business or association too.

Hi, as is it now possible to send message later to avoid disturbing outside business hours, it would be nice to have the ability to set hours to check for new email, for each account. When you have professionnal and personnal email account, you may want to receive personnal email without being calling back to your job by a new professional incoming email. A cool other option would be a button (green/red) on the account in the folder tree to quickly switch on/off new incoming email check.

The entire purpose (for me) of using SEND LATER is to hide the fact that I'm awake and responding to emails at 3am. I'm pretty horrified to realize that these messages are time stamped at creation instead of delivery. PLEASE PLEASE allow an option to update the timestamp of unsent messages

Hi everybody,
The title says it all ! PLEASE add automatically a line to separate a reply from an email body. If one have a signature, like I do, then the line should go directly under the signature. If you argue that the line feature that exist is at the user discretion to add or not, it is a poor excuse. If I want it then... it is needed. If you insist then... I ask that you then make it a customisable feature in the reply properties of Thunderbird to be check or not by user discretion.
Hope you will take my request in consideration !
Many thanks and best regards,
iBenny

I now receive multiple junk/spam emails which are dated in the future. This is presumably so the emails appear at the end of my inbox.
It would be good to have an enhancement to the Thunderbird, Message Filters, Date rule, by adding a conditional, like isAfterTodayBy n hours, days, or weeks. Or something similar that references the date the Date rule is executed.
I like and always use Thunderbird personally. Keep up the good work.

From one of the last versions on, messages search filter is "accents" sensitive. This is a pain on some languages like spanish or portuguese, since many people ommit accents when typing quickly.
Examples: - Searching for spanish word "camión" will not return messages containing the word "camion" and viceversa. - Searching for portuguese word "camião" will not return messages containing the word "camiao" and viceversa.
Now putting aside the typos of the sender, if I want to search for all messages containing portuguese word "calendário" and also those containing the spanish word "calendario" (note that the same word in one language have an accent and not in the other), I would have to perform two different searches.
This has been discussed many times in the last years and there is an open bug from 14 years ago: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=506064
I think the same is true for other Latin languages like french...
IMHO, accent insensitive search should be a user configurable setting enabled by default.
Thanks for the excelent work you've done with Thunderbird!

Hello,
It would be nice for donators to hide the Donation page when opening Thunderbird and show them instead info about their donation for example.
This could be done by checking the account that has the same email address than the donator's (from PayPal, ...), what do you think?
Thank you for reading me!

Sometimes I accidently launch Thunderbird or it is lanched from other Apps. You placed a CANCEL button in the "Sign in" box. Instead of closing Thundirbird, it keeps requesting "Sign in", probably because of Multiple Accounts. Why????
My suggestion is that the CANCEL button closes Thunderbird.

Individually previewing attachments when there are numerous ones gets clunk - it would be wonderful if multiple attachments could be clicked through like a slideshow or scrolled through without opening and closing multiple windows.

I often want to drag an email address from the To: field in one emails draft window into another email draft To: field. I can drag between the To: and CC: field in a singe window but not between windows. This would be a very helpful feature. Thanks!

Many mail clients allow the inbox to stack the sender over the subject line for a more efficient and condensed layout. IME the single-line format of Thunderbird's inbox contributes to eyestrain and wastes prime real estate on my display. I would be over the moon if Thunderbird would implement this as an option.
Thank you!

It would be a great option to customise zoom-in, zoom-out, opened and closed hand cursors, because default ones look awful (don’t support anti-aliasing, while cursor size is increased on Windows they are distorted). Example attached.

A suggestion for Thunderbird developers.
Currently attachments are hidden behind a collapsed menu, why?
Could we please start with that menu open? It would save me 50 clicks a day, which might be a few hours a year.

Add support for RFC 7628 openid-configuration element in SASL reply. This would simplify adding any 3rd party oauth provider to #thunderbird and allow migrating from password authentication.
The server side of this is implemented i e.g. Dovecot IMAP server, see https://doc.dovecot.org/configuration_manual/authentication/oauth2/#openid-discovery .
