As far as I understand, tabs are like bookmarks with session data. You save bookmarks because you have visited a page and you want to get back to it in the future, so why do not save also its session, like it was a tab? Tabs management, with dropdown lists and sublists (like in menus and submenus) is MUCH more comfortable than a long horizontal list of scrolling tabs; tab groups are not sufficient to put order. If needed, opening an existing tab as it was a bookmark could be achieved through pressing SHIFT or CTRL while clicking. There could be an option to automatically group consecutive tabs referring to the same URL and another option to highlight non-consecutive tabs referring to the same URL. User could have to chance to specify a default container for all tabs in a certain submenu, which would be very confortable because containers tend to correspond to bookmark submenus. I know that it would be a revolutionary change, but I think it would bring many advantages.
