I would like to arrange the toolbars in Firefox in the following order top to bottom:
Menu bar (top, with "File" on the far left and "X" on the far right, i.e. not centered)
Bookmarks bar
Search bar
Tab bar
This can't be done currently. The best I can do is:
Bookmarks bar
Search bar
Menu bar
Tab bar
I would like Firefox to allow the user to arrange the toolbars in any order.

It is my understanding that the reason for no Add-Ons on Firefox for iphone is in part because of restrictions placed by Apple upon iphone apps. This can be seen in how Firefox is a fork of Safari. It is my belief that if we cannot have support for Firefox Add-Ons on IOS then compatibility with Safari Extensions would be welcome as well.

I've recently made the switch to Firefox as my default browser on Android, for convenient syncing, as it's my default browser on my Linux desktop. there's one ingenious Chrome feature I miss in my mobile experience. that is the 'Contextual Search' or 'Touch to Search'. I think it can be done better in Firefox mobile. it's a multifunctional bar that pops from the bottom (within a convenient thumb-reach), that can do numerous things: run a quick search, on top of your viewed tab, of a highlighted term. display a dictionary definition of the highlighted term (incredibly useful when reading articles). or if a whole sentence is selected, it shows a full translation of it to your language. open links in a pop up preview panes (which is very time saving when browsing through a blog/magazine or doing a research, when you want to peek into a page or article to see if it's for your liking). edit, a suggestion I came up with: would love to hear your thoughts 🙂

Festive Greetings Mozilla Company and I hope that you are developing for the future. I mentioned this idea in Google Playstore as part suggestions part opinion and got a response, FROM MOZILLA, and a link to say that here so it's about the Mozilla Firefox Browser having a fully Web Developer friendly features such as : 1.Dhtml , Shtml ,Html ,Html5 2.Css , Css2 , Css3 or Css4 etc... 3.Javascript encyclopedia of libraries to add and choose from e.g. Json, React , jQuery ,Ajax or Phaser 4. Php MyAdmin with Zend Engine ( Sqllite, Sql , MySql ) to allow offline developments on the developers device as a virtual server as to allow for offline developments of the web. This would then enable Web Developers to further Develop how they can with the, Mozilla Firefox Web developer browser and once it's prototypical , I suggest that Mozilla would broadcast on all Socials so people like me can get to explore it and reciprocate communication about it here and there

Hey,
since 111.0 the new unified extensions button as a fixed place in the toolbar. I don't like it there and would want to remove it/move it to the overflow menu. Please make that possible again.
Also the menu needs to be easier/quicker to understand. Currently in german it is this way (used on yt as example) and you need to read way to much to understand what is going on:
At a glance all that looks fairly similar and doesn't provide the user with any benefits. I would suggest to change the current display system to something more practical. Add Categories with the applicalable permissions and just list the extensions below that with their icon and name.
Example:
Can always read and edit this website:
Blocktube
Stylus
...
Needs permission to ...:
CommentBlock
Has no permissions on this website:
AntiGameReborn
....
That way you would always know at a glance which extensions have/want/don't have permission and wouldn't need to read every text on an unsorted list.

The full screen option on the address bar dropdown menu is too close to the zoom out button. It is too easy to hit full screen when trying to zoom out. Very annoying, Better to move the full screen icon to its own line in the menu.

Problem: Sorting Extensions in the Extension Window is a bit cumbersome. Beside each extension, users have to click the three dots, click "Move Up" (or down), and then do it again to move it down another row. Solution: Extensions should automatically sort by most-clicked, with the most-clicked extensions at the top. The Extension Window Firefox

This might be controversial. Would this be an option to build an UI that matches the Windows 11 Fluent Design principles. Like the tabs, contextmenu, textbox, checkboxes, using segoe fluent icons, etc... but as an opt-in option. So Windows 11 users could have a more or less WinUI experience with FireFox.

Dear Mozilla Team,
I am personally a user of a password manager under the name of "Proton Pass" and a lot of times, on login forms, both the default mozilla password manager and protonpass collide with eachother.
My idea is to have a new toggle for extensions to use which would make FireFox recognize multiple password managers and allow you to choose on login forms for it instead of them overlapping.
Example of the overlap:
How it looks without overlap:
English is not my first language so I apologise if my idea doesn't make sense. Thank you for taking your time to read.

The current Firefox homepage/new tab page is quite minimal:
I think there's an opportunity to make it look better and have functionality like the other browsers do
Include stats about blocked ads/trackers etc - Since FF is privacy focused, why not display info from about:protections front and center instead of hiding it!
Wallpaper (optional please!). Maybe users could set their own or FF could randomly show some
Calendar or other widgets. Brave shows a clock (which is kinda redundant)
Weather (if user allows location access)
Some Firefox feeds/ticker. You could have "Did you know"s or good news stories about what Mozilla is doing/how they're helping the world. Could also advertise Mozilla VPN or T-shirts! Kodi (used to be XBMC) has one of these tickers.
Brave's new tab page below incl number of trackers/ads blocked, bandwidth and time saved:
Kodi RSS/news ticker:
Firefox's about:protections sadly not being shown off!

Problem: when switching between accounts from within the side menu, each time the menu closes automatically, instead of being kept open and displaying the account folders. Behavior results in user having to reopen the side menu manually again after each switch, just to go to a specific folder. Suggestion: switching between accounts should simply result in showing the folders of the switched to account, and the menu should kept open. #Thunderbird PS: mozilla ideas is missing a category for k-9 mail

I don't really like using the turn email to Grey option after being read. Is it possible to simply bold the entire header section on new emails? The way they come in now, only the contact name is bolded which makes it nearly impossible to distinguish from previously read emails. Thanks

After updating to 131.0b1, I've got the new tab preview feature and it's a nice feature but there can be some improvements. It should have an option that changes its size (ex: 1, 2 (default), 3, 4, ...) (example in the image). It should also update the preview when the website changes, ex: when there's a video (so make it refresh at the user's FPS / make an option based on FPS refresh: 0/15/30/60/120/165/... fps (for performance reasons)).

Spark mail already has this feature for years and it looks beautiful. Please add this to Thunderbird to show logo's in the inbox on the left of each email. It would absolutely make the app stunning and organized. One glance and you can find the email you want or need based on the logo or picture. edit: added picture

TLDR: popularize Firefox uC styles among regular users by representing them as content downloadable from AMO (just like regular themes) and promoting this 'advanced customization' as a unique feature and not something shady used only by "power users".
One of the greatest advantages of Firefox over other browsers is its interface is highly and easily customizable, thanks to using XUL for its UI. With minimal knowledge of CSS and 1-2 hours of learning you can change almost anything you want!
Firefox GNOME Theme One of a few dozens one-liner styles FlyingFox MaterialFox
Knowing that, it's weird to see Mozilla doesn't do anything about this feature at all! For example, to install the style, you have to enable uC support (labeled as "legacy stylesheets") in advanced settings which regular users won't ever go to, then find a style on potentially unsafe community forums, and then manually "install" it by moving it to the chrome folder. Not to mention this feature seems to never was actively developed, not allowing to anyhow store several styles, having several security vulnerabilities etc.
So, what do I think Mozilla should do:
Actively promote this feature as one of Firefox's benefits (because it is). Most Chromium-based browsers can only provide a very limited customization options, so Firefox will definitely stand out with this. Most of them don't even allow you to rearrange toolbar icons! For example, take a look at Vivaldi - one of its selling features is high (comparing to other Chromium-powered browsers) customization, and Firefox can potentially provide way more options!
Improve the way userChrome works now The idea is to treat uC style the same as regular extensions and themes, providing config keys as extension permissions. This also means it'll require to ensure the uC style security (make a verification to protect browser from malicious sideload, fix possible security vulnerabilities (e.g. allow uC styles to load only other CSS files and PNG/SVG images) etc.) and maybe document some unclear parts of it somewhere on MDN.
Create a section for userChrome styles on addons.mozilla.org AMO Styles page mockup with a few themes showcased.Since the sideload will no longer be an easy option (though still possible for debugging), people obviously would need a place where they can easily download uC styles they want. Why not provide them with one then? They also should be clearly distinguished from themes, as the first ones intended for simpler customization and most of uC styles are fully theme-compatible.
What do you think? Hope this suggestion will get some good feedback 🙂

The thunderbird image in the app icon is really beautiful - it's unfortunate that it's so small due to the large amount of whitespace surrounding it. I think it would look much better if you removed the bird from its white shroud and let it encircle the app icon itself, up to the edge.
