Apple computers and devices extend the use of IMAP flags (normally just set or unset) to support 7 different colours of flags, using a proprietary modification of IMAP and binary 000 -> 111 settings.  This implementation is backwards compatible with non-Apple devices in that setting any colour of apple flag will just show as flagged on a non-apple device, and setting the single flag colour on a non-Apple device will just set a red colour flag on Apple.   I think it would be relatively simple to support this standard.  Microsoft Exchange/365 also has multi-coloured flags using its own proprietary standard which I expect you already support.  ... A feature that allows you to add whatever you want to the new sidebar. The possibilities are endless - you could even have apps like calendar, notes, weather sort of like Vivaldi, or a second place to display bookmarks of your choice.  I think the "app idea" is the most useful though - so you can just click right on an icon and bring up an "app" instead of visiting the website. you can maybe add your own apps but then there are also a few "built in apps" with their own custom loading animation and everything, for the same seamless experience you get when opening an app on a smartphone. I find myself wanting to take notes in Websites. As per https://github.com/thunderbird/thunderbird-android/issues/935 Identity selection could be enhanced to make life a lot easier for people who have a catch-all domain, similar to how Thunderbird allows customizing the sender. Identity selection should be : -free to edit and modify when writing a message (more or less as the recipient field currently is) -automatically set with the best value guessed from the recipient values, when replying. The idea is to allow the option for each email account to have its own Notification Sound (just like the mobile TB app has it by default). This helps to distinguish between received Emails on different accounts without having to open Thunderbird running in the background. There was an old Add-On which did just that, which no longer works (since 2022) called "Mailbox Alert". An alternative could be to have an additional "Perform Action: Play Sound" in the TB Mail Filters.
