Tab groups and sync extensions has already been suggested but yet to be implemented.
With Firefox it is possible to send (copies of) Tabs to other device as well as open up (a new copy) of tabs from other devices with the Synced Tabs feature. Using these are tedious and gets arduous. Plus now you have the same website(S) open on different devices and will show up in the "Synced Tabs" as separate tabs making the Sync Tabs list bulky and inefficiently redundant.
I work in one window, multiple tabs, (its easy to loose tabs when working in multiple windows).
I want when I close a tab on one device, it closes on all my devices. Open, change URL, etc. While this may not be good for classic browsing on multiple devices, using separate spaces/groups that sync together turns multiple devices into a single seamless continuity.
tab groups are organized by user preference and not device and by Syncing tab groups it will feel like working on a single device instead of multiple devices. Closing a tab in a group will mean that the tab is closed on all devices, etc. Separate devices can have different active groups.
Extensions exist that can group tabs, backup, and restore, but they cannot be synced live which is something I believe Firefox can and should implement themselves if they are not willing to sync all extension settings/data.

There should be a dark theme for mozilla.org and addons.mozilla.org.
The latter is particularly important, since it is a protected page and addons like Dark Reader cannot touch it.
If you're worried about wasting developer time on designing this from scratch, you could cheat by using the Dark Reader npm library. There is an option to export the autogenerated CSS as a string (exportGeneratedCSS). You could use this as a starting point and modify/correct any of the mistakes the Dark Reader algorithms made.

Bonus points if you can make the light/dark themes switch based on prefers-color-scheme so it matches OS/browser theme settings.

Thunderbird can move folders to different hierarchies using drag and drop. However, it is not possible to move them within the same hierarchy, i.e. reorder them. The "Manually sort folders" add-on had helped to sort folders, but with Thunderbird 115 (Supernova), it is no longer available. It is time to make it a proper feature. I was involved in the development of the add-on to make it Thunderbird 78 compatible and later as a collaborator. So, as an option, I have considered developing another add-on for Thunderbird 115. This may not be impossible. (John is providing a POC.) But I would like to consider implementing the ability to sort folders properly in Thunderbird. Give about:config to Firefox for Android and let us customize it the same way we can customize the desktop browser. That... high level of customization was the only reason I started using Firefox back in 2006 and why I still prefer Firefox for the desktop to any other browser.
I stopped using FF for Android 2 years ago because many pages simply won't load and hang in the middle of loading whereas the same pages open just fine and fast using Opera for Android. Since I was unable to send you feedback about that, I stopped using it. But now with Mozilla Connect I can share my ideas and hopefully bring FF for Android to the same glory its desktop cousin already has.
When I disabled IPv6 on the desktop Firefox last week, many of the pages suddenly started loading instantly bc my ISP, among many others in my country, still supports IPv4 only. So I'm 90% sure that if I can do the same with FF for Android, that will change its performance for the better. But it turned out that the mobile FF didn't have about:config.

Currently, I am actively using Firefox on 4 devices: my work laptop, 2 personal laptops, and my phone. I frequently want to send tabs from one device to one or more others. Suppose I want to send a tab from one personal laptop to my phone & my other personal laptop, but not my work laptop; I have to right-click the tab, click "Send to Device", click "Personal laptop 2", then right-click the tab again, click "Send to Device" again, click "Phone". That's 6 clicks total, of which 4 are in transient pop-up menus that are relatively easy to misclick. This gets very tiresome when I have to repeat this sequence every time I want to share a tab in this configuration. I would like the flow to instead go something like this. Right-click the tab and click "Send to Device". A pop-up window opens, listing all my devices, with a check box next to each. I click the check box for each device I want to send the tab to. I click a "Submit" button. This way, in one go, I send the tab to exactly the devices I want, and don't have to go one device at a time. And as a bonus, this pop-up window might for example remember which devices I'd selected last time, so if I'm repeatedly sending tabs to the same configuration of devices, the flow simplifies to something like right-click tab → "Send to Device" → press Enter.

Post common ad site redirect, like ads.doubleclick.net and post cert/site name mismatch detection, provide a button-style link to skip the ad site and go directly to the proper link without redirect reading "Ignore This". I get a lot of support requests due to the error message that pops up.

Ublock Origin is one of the most popular add ons, and I think it would be great to integrate it directly into Firefox and Firefox Mobile as a setting. Perhaps it could be part of the 'strict' setting of the tracking protection, or it could be a separate setting for blocking ads.
Microsoft Edge has a built in optional ad blocker on mobile, and I think having this in Firefox on desktop and mobile would be a great benefit, rather than relying on users knowing about it and having them download it from the add on store.

It would be great to have better integration with the Gnome desktop. Email accounts, calendar and contacts added to Gnome should be automatically picked up by Thunderbird.

In current stable version (Firefox 144 for Android) one can easily send all open tabs to other devices. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-share-tab-firefox-android#w_share-all-open-tabs I use it every day and love it; however, in recent Beta builds the tab menu has gotten a UI tweak and the menu item is gone. It made my tab life really worse and I'd love it come back. Please!

There are some sites that I want to always open in a container and never in regular, no container tabs. If I set that site to "always open in this container" it will do that, but then I am unable to open the site in an alternate container. Could we get a way of marking sites to open in one container by default, but still be able to be opened in other containers manually?

Keyboard shortcuts can now be specified using `about:keyboard`, which is great!
Please add the `Previous Tab` / `Next Tab` command to the list of customisable shortcuts.
There is a related issue tracking the addition of the `Previous Tab` / `Next Tab` commands to the top menu, allowing users to set shortcuts for it on some OSes (e.g. macOS), but this issue is specifically to track the addition of those to `about:keyboard`.

Would it be any good having a "trails" feature when browsing?
Yesterday I had an occation when my session browsing was interrupted when I was logged out for some reason. This meant I was not able to open / remember the pages I had just visited. Having a trails feature (browse session as "trails"/"tracks"), would in that case have been of use to me. Is anyone interested in this? Does this already exist?

Thunderbird # already has a great support for VTODO VCALENDAR and contacts. What is missing though is support for VJOURNAL entries. Journals are close to calendar entries. A great vesoverview gives jtx Additionally they introduce "notes" which are simply journals without a date.
The open source calDAV and cardDAV is a great way to share information between groups and family. Journals and notes would complete this sharing nicely.

I cannot zoom text in the AI Chatbot sidebar.
This seems like very poor UX and accessibility (a11y) for people with eyesight issues.
The example code returned from Mistral's Le Chat, for example, is very small and hard to read. I asked Le Chat to increase the font size of it's output and whilst it claimed to do so, nothing changed.
I checked this strange anomaly in other sidebar contexts. Everything first party to Mozilla fails to zoom. Bookmarks, History, AI Chabot. Yet, 3rd party add-ons, loaded into the sidebar, such as Sage-Like, can be zoomed just like regular browser content in any normal tab.

When you select a long text, it would be nice if the right-click menu displayed how many characters (and how many words) are in the selection. For example:

Random unrelated idea: remove the "Search [engine name] for '[selection text]'" option for extremely long selections. It's useless to search for entire paragraphs and it can overload the network.

I cannot find anyway to pin an extension to sidebar. In Firefox, extensions can be pinned to the menu bar. This is needed because some extensions provide quick access that effect the page/browser with instant click.
For example, Dark Reader extension, which enforces dark mode on page contents, provides the ability to quickly be switched off (page content will be back to light mode), and switched back on (page content dark-moded). Switching dark mode off instantly by having the extension pinned to the sidebar can be very useful the the dark mode is not rendered properly in certain web pages.

Recently I had to update an expired certificate for a web service. The only way to update the certificate was to log into the service and upload a new certificate. Unfortunately, the server folks implemented HSTS on the server so I had no choice but to use https to access the service. In Chrome, I was able to use the "thisisunsafe" easter egg to temporarily accept the old certificate while replacing it, but I was unable to find any workaround in Firefox that allowed me to log into the server, navigate to the administration menu, then upload and implement the new certificate. Please go back to allowing users to decide when to override certificate errors.

When using the the chat especially when on either of my laptops. I think it would be useful to be able to minimize/hide the chat but not have it completely close so you can stay in the same session.
In my head I see it working by adding a simple minimize button next to the close button. When it minimizes, the icon for the chat can stay highlighted to alert that it is still active. Also, when switching from chat to other options like bookmarks, history or tabs. If there is a current chat open it should use the minimize behavior so the same chat is still active when you navigate back. So essentially the only time the chat closes or resets is when you close it.

On the Firefox for Android homepage, if I try scrolling up/down,this action sometimes would be interpreted as swipe left/right, then the items in my Collections would be accidentally deleted and there's no way to undo……infuriating.
