Something I've heard unilaterally said by GNOMies as of late is that they want Firefox in their desktop environment to look like itself, instead of trying to relentlessly look like Adwaita, per their whole dream of each application following its respective platform... or lack of in Firefox's case. Right now, System Theme in gnome always means it tries to follow Adwaita, to varying results, however this idea proposes that browser.theme.native-theme should be set to FALSE by default only if running inside of GNOME. This would mean Firefox in GNOME gets the automatic Light/Dark switch behaviour from Windows and mac by default, which is more in line with the aforementioned GNOMies' desires, instead of trying to look partially like Libadwaita (and Adwaita at the same time). Their desires are currently realised by the GTKless CSS modification, but having it be an official default for GNOME would be better. Futhermore, this would benefit from also giving dialogs and menus the colours from the Light/Dark lwthemes' palettes respectively, instead of the GTK stylesheets'.
