Right now, if I am an update behind then WebGL gets disabled. I need to be on the latest firefox version to get WebGL support. Because websites I use regularly require webGL to work properly, this means that Mozilla releasing an update forces me to pretty much immediately go download it and restart my browser.

It's a real pain. WebGL is, at this point, an expected feature of a web browser. The fact that it just gets disabled and you need to go to settings and restart your browser to get it back is honestly kind of crazy. Like, I am a software developer working on a project that uses webGL, and if our customers used Firefox we've have to give them instructions on how to update it constantly.
