I love the MRU order of the Ctrl+Tab feature of Firefox. Actually, this was the reason why I returned to Firefox after using a competitor for two years. (Vivaldi's MRU feature is buggy, most of the other browser don't have this feature at all or they have other issues.) When I press Ctrl+Tab in Firefox, I can see the 7 most recent tabs only. If I want to go back to the 8th or 9th, etc., I cannot do that. There is the "List All 672 tabs" button but it shows the tabs in the same order as the tabs appear on the sidebar, so it doesn't give any extra help. I think if I click the "List All N tabs" button, they should appear in their Most-Recently-Used order, not in the order how I created them. Could you change this, please?     ... View more

Hi, Although Thunderbird Tools > Export, allows the for the export of 'everything' it would be incredibly helpfull if it could just have export option(s) with a / a selection of Account, and Configuration details, not just 'everything', all emails etc. This would greatly help with setting up new users / machine upgrates and transfers etc, even with backing up account details / configurations etc. Please consider. I use starred emails to denote important emails or ones that I need to act on. When you click the Starred folder it brings up all starred emails even if they are in Spam or Trash. Shouldn't it only search for starred emails in the Inbox? The others are irrelevant or have been acted on. This is how Gmail works FYI. ... View more

Dear Thunderbird Development Team, Thunderbird is an integral part of my daily work, coordination with multiple teams in several research projects in parallel, and I am very content, particularly with the newer releases. Still, I would like to propose the following feature: Since the share of in-person meetings has increased again after COVID-19, and as I am organizing meet-ups in across several buildings and with people not familiar with the campus, I have started providing proper addresses in event invitations. I would like to be able to store and reuse locations (a non-atomic text-storage would be sufficient), such that I do not have to type in the same address over and over again. Functional features I would wish for: “Places” panel in the calendar settings, similar to the “Categories” panel for managing tags (Settings -> Calendar), to manage predefined places. In the Edit-Event windows, the “Location” field should work either like the “Category” field, or be equipped with auto-completion upon typing and an additional button opening some modal to select and insert a predefined place (again, plain text would be sufficient). Storage in the user profile; this should also be synced, once the sync feature becomes available. (Syncing MS Exchange room mailboxes, or selecting addresses from the address book might be useful.) This would make life so much easier for me. I could use it for plain-text addresses, but also for URLs - e.g. of maps Locations. It would be great to have an option to disable ECH in the settings menu. Last year, Russia blocked the Cloudflare domain that is responsible for SNI encryption. Because of this, all sites that use this technology no longer open in Russia if the user uses ECH. I know that ECH can be disabled in the settings editor (about:config), but for the mass user it would be easier to do it using the graphical menu. Without this option, many users may disable DNS encryption - and this is the worse option, since it exposes users to potential danger and helps censorship authorities study user traffic to develop further blocking on the Internet. ECH is a great technology for user privacy, but unfortunately it currently depends on one single domain. And if you block this domain, hundreds of thousands of sites will stop opening. ... View more

Firefox should allow users to write and store request rewrite rules. This allows preventing the browser from connecting to privacy violating web servers. One could replace third party fonts with locally stored ones, replace Twitter embeds (widgets.js) with less intrusive ones or even redirect to lightweight alternative frontends like twitter->nitter or YouTube->invidious. It would be advisable for the content of the event to appear as a graphic space on the Today Panel without the need to click on it; in this way, by opening Thunderbird, with a 1-day view  , its content would be immediately visible to the user (the description of the event, a comment, an image, a phrase, a drawing, a thought,  as if it were the page of your personal diary). Hi, it would be very helpful in Thunderbird if you could display various messages in colour, for example invoices to be paid in the inbox. To do this, add ‘Mark with Colour’ (or similar) to ‘Mark as Read’ and ‘Mark as Unread’ in the ‘Tools/Message Filters’ menu under ‘Filter Rules/Perform Actions’. Firefox has had a "Copy All Tab Links" right click menu (on a tab) option for a while now. It doesn't make sense that there is no "Paste All Tab Links" option to complement it. You know, if you've copied all the tab links and saved it in notepad or maybe sent it to a friend, you later need to be able to open all those links efficiently without having to copy and paste each one individually. Doing that can be super tedious and it doesn't have to be like that. Here is some pseudo-code that I wrote to show how the function should work. I have been using mobile Linux (Phosh/smartphone) for years and am now very happy that Thunderbird can also be used on small screens - thank you very much for your work. However, there are still a few details here and there where the display still needs to be optimized. 1. After installation, I changed the view in the settings to "Wide view" so that Thunderbird appears "usable" on mobile Linux. It would be good if Thunderbird was automatically selected this view when it was started for the first time on a mobile Linux. This would certainly give the mail client more fans on mobile platforms. 2. When I receive an email with a complex mail header, I can hardly see the mail content in the "overview". I have attached two examples as images of how it is usable and how it is rather unusable. My current workaround is to open the mail in a tab, but it would be more intuitive if the mail header had a "pull-/scrolldown" function once it reached a certain size. I would be very happy if the behavior was adjusted, as this would make it even easier to get started if you use mobile Linux. ... View more
