I'd like to have more options on the drop-down list of when to remind me, when creating an event in Thunderbird, without having to choose Custom. (Using Custom takes a lot more clicks!) Outlook has the following options on its drop-down, that Thunderbird is lacking: - 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 18 hours (with 12 hours, which is also in Thunderbird, showing as 0.5 days) - 3 or 4 days - 2 weeks If this is thought to be too much, could adding more to the list be an option in the settings? Or would there be a way for an extension to do it? My reasoning, especially for the number of hours, is that I'd like to be reminded near the start of day when I have an event, regardless of when during the day that event occurs. I'm a programmer (though I've never looked at the Thunderbird code) and I'd also be willing to try to code this and submit it as a proposed patch - but only if you let me know it would be accepted! ... I feel like it's still a problem to simply set certain pages to launch in "private mode." I keep reading that it requires complex configuration, for example, via the configuration. There should be a button at the top or an option in the bookmarks to choose whether or not to enable private mode.   ... View more

Summary: When "Vertical Tabs" is on, the "List All Tabs" button should be in the sidebar with the vertical tabs, rather than in the main browser toolbar. The "List All Tabs" button is located at the end of the Tabs row when Horizontal Tabs are used. This makes sense. (It appears as a downward chevron in this configuration.) When Vertical Tabs are on, the "List All Tabs" button goes into the main browser toolbar. (It's the middle one here; different icon image for some reason.) But that puts it fully on the opposite side of the window as the Vertical Tabs, which default to the left sidebar. I was looking for this button when using Vertical Tabs and couldn't find it. I expected it to be with the other icons at the bottom of the Vertical Tabs sidebar: It seems more intuitive to me to put the List All Tabs button down here, or below the "Open a New Tab" button, rather than in the main toolbar at upper right. ... There's no settings to configure notifications for RSS feeds and if you follow something that gets updated a lot and isn't readable without the filter system, you'll get spammed by notifications on thunderbird because it's not possible to configure notifications. Just because I add a tab to a 'tab group' doesn't mean I want to immediately go to that tab group. Please enable us to choose to NOT automatically go to the tab group. NB In settings I have not checked "When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately". Also, sometimes I want to add 20 adjacent tabs to a tab group and it would be great to be able to highlight and add them all at once! But if that's too hard, please don't make me go to the tab group each time I add a tab to that group because each time I then have to navigate back to the remaining 19 or so tabs in between adding each one to the group and it takes way longer with many more keystrokes to do this when I already have too many tabs open 😅 That said, to quickly reduce the number of tabs I have ‘open’, it would be great if I could right click on a 'tab group' and have the option to: - add that tab group as a new folder in my bookmarks, and/or - add the tab group to a pre-existing folder in my bookmarks Thank you for your consideration. ... Hello Firefox team, I’d like to suggest adding an option to customize webpage zoom levels with more precision, instead of jumping between preset percentage steps (e.g. 90%, 100%, 110%). Many users would appreciate being able to adjust the zoom continuously or define custom values — for example, typing “97%” or using a smoother slider. This would allow finer control over readability and page layout, especially on high-resolution displays or when switching between devices. Firefox’s current customization options for toolbars and the vertical tab sidebar are fragmented. Users must navigate separate menus (gear icon) to customize the sidebar , and there’s no intuitive way to move icons or tabs between from the (vertical) side bar to the main horizontal toolbar . This limits flexibility and creates a disjointed experience for users who want a seamless, personalized browser layout. I’m using Firefox’s Web App feature to create shortcuts for a web application that uses a base URL (e.g., https://app.example.com/) and customer-specific paths (e.g., https://app.example.com/customer123). Currently, Firefox only saves the base URL when creating a Web App, which renders the shortcut non-functional for our use case, as the base URL alone does not provide access to the specific customer environment. Other browsers, like Microsoft Edge, allow saving the full URL (including the path) when creating a Web App shortcut. This functionality is crucial for our workflow, as each customer requires a unique path extension. Request: Could you please enhance the Web App feature in Firefox Desktop to save and use the full URL (including the path) when creating a Web App? Currently the only capability to print calendar events in Thunderbird is limited to printing summaries of events for a specific time period, e.g. weekly, monthly etc.  What is missing is the ability to print all of the detail for individual events.  For example, if there is relevant information in the event narrative box that needs to be printed, like directions, contacts and agenda, there is no print function available to do this.  So to print the details I have to take a screen shots with a third party program or cut and paste into a word processing program.  The is really ridiculous...barbaric really.  Outlook has had this capability for DECADES.  It is hard to imagine that at this late date, Thunderbird has still not addressed this issue.  Incorporating a print function for event details can't be that difficult to implement.  Please address this issue.  Thank you. ... The new Google Lens feature in Firefox is nice and something people have wanted for a while. But it only works when there’s already an image on the page. That’s pretty limited. It would be much better if we could use it anywhere on a webpage — like take a quick screenshot or select part of the screen and search that on Google Lens. There’s already an extension that does this called “To Google Lens” (link). It lets you right-click, drag to capture an area, and send it straight to Lens. If Firefox added that same ability natively, it’d make the feature complete. You wouldn’t need extra extensions, and it would feel way smoother and more useful in everyday browsing. ... View more

Hello Mozilla Team, One of the primary reasons I use Firefox on Android is its unique support for browser extensions, which is a key advantage over Chrome. However, one of the most in-demand extensions, the DeepL Translator, is currently unavailable for Firefox on Android. As a DeepL Pro subscriber, I (and many others) rely on its full-page translation feature, which we cannot use on mobile. The DeepL extension already exists for desktop Firefox. The technology in Firefox for Android is perfectly capable of running it, but it seems DeepL has not officially "enabled" it for the mobile list. Could the Mozilla team reach out to DeepL (a major player in the translation space) and encourage them to list their add-on for Firefox on Android? Adding high-profile, in-demand extensions like DeepL to the official Android list would be a significant competitive advantage for Firefox and would solidify its position as the best browser for power-users on Android. The default behavior in Firefox when closing a tab is that it would simply go to the next tab. This is often fine, but in cases where the next tab is muted, it would go to it and unmute it. This is problematic because the user might have a tab muted intentionally for a reason. Having this behavior means the tab would unmute/load without the user's explicit consent. I think there should be small changes to this behavior. Maybe something like this: 1. If next tab is loaded (not muted), go to it, upon closing current tab. 2. If the next tab is muted/unloaded, check the previous tab, if it's loaded, go to it. 3. If not, go to the closest loaded tab, in whichever direction, (or maybe go to the previously focused tab?). I haven't thought this through, and I'm sure Firefox developers can come up with a much smarter behavior than this, but this is just an example to clarify my idea further. Another vertical tab add-on does the latter, it simply goes to the previously focused tab regardless of direction or position. This has its drawbacks of course, so there's no perfect approach here.
