For those who use Thunderbird on Desktop AND on their mobile phone, filters, preferences and calendar data should be available on both devices. They should be exchangeable from desktop to mobile and visa versa. My feature request is to disable javascript by default on non-HTTPS sites, and have a permission popup appear (like Canvas or Location request permissions) if the site tries to use javascript, with a short explanation like "example.com is not a secure site, but is trying to run javascript. This is not safe and could be abused by an attacker to take over your browser or computer. Learn More..." with a link to a mozilla support page. The reasoning is that malicious javascript can be injected into non-HTTPS sites by an attacker, for example an attacker sharing the same Wi-Fi network in a coffee shop or in a position to monitor network traffic. The "HTTPS-Only Mode" doesn't quite do the same thing, as someone could be reasonably cautious about visiting only legitimate (malware-free) sites, and still want to visit a legitimate non-HTTPS site (like some older popular "personal homepage"-style sites that were set up before HTTPS was common, and were never updated). Going through my filters in Thunderbird (desktop), I wondered that the option to let spam mails be automatically deleted from the server is no more available? Am I wrong or was that option possible a few months ago? Receiving a lot of spam that could be automatically deleted (or prevented from downloading from the server) is a crucial option for filters. Especially for those emails that have already been marked as such by the provider or server software. That option should be brought back to life again! ... View more

I sometimes have to go to authorize.net and use their virtual terminal to run customer cards.  Every time I run a card, Firefox helpfully asks if I'd like to save the address and credit card information.  Unlike with the "save password" feature, there's no option of "never for this site." In HTML/SVG/plaintext documents whose text content is wider than the visible area, it would be informative and convenient if the horizontal positions of found text were marked on the horizontal scroll bar, in the same way that Ctrl+f text search success causes the vertical locations of a text search term's one-or-more results to have their location highlighted in the vertical scroll bar. I mentioned this idea in Google Playstore as part suggestions part opinion and got a response, FROM MOZILLA, and a link to say that here so it's about the Mozilla Firefox Browser having a fully Web Developer friendly features such as : 1.Dhtml , Shtml ,Html ,Html5 2.Css , Css2 , Css3 or Css4 etc... 3.Javascript encyclopedia of libraries to add and choose from e.g. Json, React , jQuery ,Ajax or Phaser 4. Php MyAdmin with Zend Engine ( Sqllite, Sql , MySql ) to allow offline developments on the developers device as a virtual server as to allow for offline developments of the web. Shortcuts are the way to live. You either use them or you either dont. But once you learn to use them, you can live without them. Its excruciating to move that touchpad cursor places, and much slower. I would love to get a shortcut or be able to modify and customize shortcuts for firefox nightly. I want a shortcut to open the Ai Chat bot on my vertical bar. Moving my cursor to click on the Ai Chatbot tab feels slow and painful. When using Gmail accounts with Thunderbird (Mobile) the default Gmail folders come with a "[Gmail]/" prefix. This ruins the aesthetics. See screenshot. I am not sure how Thunderbird manages syncing internally, but that would mean that the folder Name in the system stays the same and a display name attribute is added. ... View more

For context: I am fairly privacy focused and therefore use "Hardened" Firefox with my own overrides so I can keep my So I had to disable my history deletion on shutdown so Firefox could restore my last used tabs. Problem: My history doesn't get deleted (automatically). Is there a way to maintain your last used history so Firefox could restore your tabs after shutdown, but still half clean them automatically? Any "go to your history and click 'delete all' every now and then" is not a solution. As in: Firefox keeps every open tab saved after shutdown and can restore them again while anything else already closed in the last session gets deleted for good.  I love the slim design of the vertical tabs and your added functionality. (For more inspiration: Look at some design solution from this (now obsolete) extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/sidetabs/) But when trying to move my window, I want to be able to mindlessly move to the highest point of my monitor and be able to drag the window. In my attachment, you can see (in green) where you have to put your mouse over in order to be able to drag the window. In red: This is a lot of horizontal real estate of potential window dragging capability. (It's not even that you are hovering on the search bar. This space really seems to have no functionality) Some troubleshooting information: 133.0.3 (64-Bit) Windows 11 2560x1440 1920x1080 (both don't work) I like that you give the non-fullscreen windows an extra draggable corner (though maybe you should also adjust some extra pixels for again: horizontal real estate for dragging window).   ... Just working on one Tab and have another view of it somewhere else on another place on Desktop or whatever, to scroll on the Content of the Main tab, without altering it in some way . I like to use it to read content on a Website, while have a look on the same Webside somewhere else on it. Implementing would be like creating another view on a tab to have this new window on an independent position and adding scroll/sizing elements.  Updating only content from "Main-Tab", but not position/size from that main-tab and keep this it seperated to be handled on every "Mirror-View" by itself. Problem: Tab wont work in some cases, because every tab become a new session or it will be checked, that there are only one session from your device on webserver. My actual case, i like to read comments on a page, while watching the output of a calculated page. If i try dublicate Tab, but calculated content is gone. Just Scrolling on one Tab take a lot of time and also is confusing me on long pages. There could be something like userdefined Markers to jump to..(also nice to have) - But thats also not the best way to go in my case. (nice to have) Mirror-View could be used as a Video Fullscreen,  but elements to be used are on another. (nice to have) And may be not only to have one "Mirror-View" but so many like your system can handle . That would also be an option for creating a video-wall with same content on all Monitor. (nice to have) If Mirror-View would be implemented, it would be nice to have an option to stream a view (easy) to another device, like over network to present it somewhere else. somewhat like Create-Mirror-View: Local Desktop, or on IP-Address, where Firefox already running and waiting to create that View. ... “Quick Filter” functionality (as it exists in TB desktop) is a glaring omission from this app. I’d like to see unread messages first, but in the order they arrived (newest at top). Selecting unread from the top pull-down results in unread email dates ordered backwards (oldest at top), which is extremely clumsy for a number of reasons. Complicating this further, email marked as read still displays in the inbox list, when it should remain there but no longer be displayed (again, as is the case with TB desktop). When you click on the 'New Message' button, Thunderbird then gives you a new window with the Compose New Message screen.   But say you clicked that accidentally, or you decide you don't want to send a message ... Then you click on the X in the upper right to exit.  Thunderbird pops up the Save Message reminder, saying "Save this message to your drafts folder (Drafts) and close the Write window?" with the options Save, Discard Changes, or Cancel.  Then you have to click one of those options before this window goes away.   So I would suggest a possible enhancement to Thunderbird:       If nothing has been entered in the Compose New Message screen when the user clicks the X exit, then exit without requiring confirmation via the Save Message popup.  This would be faster for the user, and reduce the small annoyance of asking them to 'Discard Changes' when in fact they have not made any changes. It would be best if this happened when the user had made no changes to any of the fields (To, CC, BCC, Subject, or Body Text).  But acceptable if it happened only whenever the Body Text had been left blank.      ...
