“Quick Filter” functionality (as it exists in TB desktop) is a glaring omission from this app. I’d like to see unread messages first, but in the order they arrived (newest at top). Selecting unread from the top pull-down results in unread email dates ordered backwards (oldest at top), which is extremely clumsy for a number of reasons.

Complicating this further, email marked as read still displays in the inbox list, when it should remain there but no longer be displayed (again, as is the case with TB desktop). That would at least be some sort of workaround for the lack of a quick filter.

An FYI for everyone...

Here’s a kinda-sorta workaround I stumbled across, after discovering the app allows several specific sorts to be active at the same time.

Configure these sort settings in order, which only needs to be done once as the app retains them between launches.

1. Tap sort icon at upper right of Inbox.
2. Tap “Date” until “Latest messages first” is displayed at bottom.
3. Tap “Read/unread” until “Unread messages first” is displayed at bottom.

This sorts unread email in descending order from newest to oldest, then by read/unread status. Unread email will be displayed at the top of the list, followed by email flagged as read, both using the same ordering. Read email will still be visible, but moved to the bottom of the list and out of the way.

Not a perfect solution, but better than nothing as it does make managing the list much more user-friendly.

Hope this helps!
