I sometimes have to go to authorize.net and use their virtual terminal to run customer cards.  Every time I run a card, Firefox helpfully asks if I'd like to save the address and credit card information.  Unlike with the "save password" feature, there's no option of "never for this site." I've just moved over from Forte Agent. Thunderbird doesn't do everything I'd like it to but there's one specific action that seems to me like a timesaver. Forte Agent allowed incoming email to be assigned a specific folder so that all emails from and to a person could be collected together. There was a setting in the Address Book where it could be manually assigned or the program could be 'trained' by dragging an email into an active folder and the recipient (email address) would be remembered. So, all my emails from and to 'John Smith' went into the folder that I'd created called 'John Smith'. It saved having to drag them there and to have to retrieve them from 'Sent' if I initiated one. ... View more

My feature request is to disable javascript by default on non-HTTPS sites, and have a permission popup appear (like Canvas or Location request permissions) if the site tries to use javascript, with a short explanation like "example.com is not a secure site, but is trying to run javascript. This is not safe and could be abused by an attacker to take over your browser or computer. Learn More..." with a link to a mozilla support page. The reasoning is that malicious javascript can be injected into non-HTTPS sites by an attacker, for example an attacker sharing the same Wi-Fi network in a coffee shop or in a position to monitor network traffic. The "HTTPS-Only Mode" doesn't quite do the same thing, as someone could be reasonably cautious about visiting only legitimate (malware-free) sites, and still want to visit a legitimate non-HTTPS site (like some older popular "personal homepage"-style sites that were set up before HTTPS was common, and were never updated). Pitch: at the top of the page, where all tabs are displayed, it should be possible to right click a tab and minimize it. Execution: When minimizing a tab, it turns into a small 1:1 square. When switching to that tab, it truns back normal for the duration you are on it. you can also add an animation, to make it pop or move all minimized tabs together. Background: When working, I open a tab to set a timer. And if I open 5 more tabs, it gets a bit crowded. Minimizing a tab allows for more space for the other tabs, while also hiding the non relevant tabs in the background. Example: Picture this, you start your work session with a timer (like me) and an addtional youtube tab for your 5 hour music mix. On top of that you fire up your favourite zoom meeting and start constructing a moodboard with the team on your online planning platform. through the many tabs, you have to look 2 times, to see where the online planning tab is and where the ones are, that are uninteresting. At the moment, the best way possible is to push everything to the left. But thats still the 4th tab (which is almost in the middle of the screen if you dont have a wide screen monitor). Changing the space bar behavior to not page down upon key press would be immensely helpful. I understand that not everyone would appreciate being able to disable the current space bar behavior, but to me it would finally solve a long standing issue I've had with my workflow. I often hit the space bar by accident, and wind up losing my place where I was reading online. I find it so frustrating to lose the sentence I was reading because of this, that I've taken to researching if any custom scripts exist for Firefox to disable the paging down behavior. Some do exist, but none have worked for me. There's nothing as well about:config. That is why I'm glad to have the option to suggest directly that an option to disable the "space bar = page down" behavior would be very helpful. I suggest that a link and icon for "Themes" be added to the "Customize Toolbar..." dialogue be added to the Firefox Toolbar, enabling the Themes menu item that appears in the Add-ons Manager.  The following describes the current process required to achieve the needed result: I am chasing a bug in Firefox regarding the theme that is displayed when Firefox restores one (or several) of my bookmarks, which I load manually from the Bookmarks Menu.  At startup, the correct theme (i.e., last manually chosen) is displayed; when the next tab is added from the Bookmarks Menu, the theme is changed to a Dark Theme, even though the previous theme is listed as the current theme.  As a result, I need to go to the Extensions icon on my Firefox Toolbar, load the Add-ons Manager from there, then choose Themes from the menu on the left side of the Add-ons Manager, and adjust the theme from the one that has been erroneously used by the Bookmarks Menu item that I had selected. The repetitive process described happens daily.  A customizable icon on the Firefox Toolbar for "Themes" would greatly simplify this daily process, until the bug can be found and remedied. ... “Quick Filter” functionality (as it exists in TB desktop) is a glaring omission from this app. I’d like to see unread messages first, but in the order they arrived (newest at top). Selecting unread from the top pull-down results in unread email dates ordered backwards (oldest at top), which is extremely clumsy for a number of reasons. Complicating this further, email marked as read still displays in the inbox list, when it should remain there but no longer be displayed (again, as is the case with TB desktop). I use my own home page. Which I call switchboard. It is responsive and works well for desktop and mobile. It used to be synchronized from the desktop to the mobile devices. This is no longer the case. I thought I would learn to live with this change. But in fact I'm not. I have already investigated into other browsers to get this functionality back. I have low vision, so I need a giant screen and a big font to read my email. When I open an email on the preview pane, it shows me a bunch of stuff I don't need: 5 lines double spaced. It would help me if you would make it possible to hide the email header material: from, to, reply to subject, list id. That would mean I could read almost all my mail in the preview page. I find it frustrating that when you set up an email account, you only have to imput the password once, and it will store it for the IMAP and the SMTP servers. However, if you change your server information, and re-enter your password, it only stores it for the IMAP and waits until you need to actually send an email before it asks for the exact same password. If it's a day or two before you actually send an email from that account, you may not have the passwords in front of you anymore. My suggestion is that when you change a server setting, and re-enter your password, that it saves it for BOTH the IMAP and SMTP. It's frustrating as I've had to change servers a couple of times with my host. Likewise, anyone who changes web hosts and has to modify their server settings has to jump through the same double hoops. Also, it would be great to have the option to REMOVE the password for your old server. Otherwise the Password Manager gets cluttered up with dead, redundant passwords that have to be manually removed later. Addendum: Not only do you have to change all of your server passwords, but it also removes the account from all of the "Unified" folders, so you have to go in and manually add it back into any/every "Unified" tab you want to use. I just started using the Thunderbird Windows platform. In this current version of Thunderbird, I've noticed that the software doesn't provide us with suggestions while writing the recipient's email ID... I mean, we do have an option to save contacts and fetch accordingly later. But to be honest, saving contacts for a temporary email is not worth the time (temp emails: those emails to which I send emails rarely or in some situations when I need them the most, like customer care emails). Therefore, Thunderbird should suggest the recipient's email ID when I start to write them on the 'to' bar. This would be more convenient, rather than saving them as contacts. ... View more

When using Gmail accounts with Thunderbird (Mobile) the default Gmail folders come with a "[Gmail]/" prefix. This ruins the aesthetics. See screenshot. I am not sure how Thunderbird manages syncing internally, but that would mean that the folder Name in the system stays the same and a display name attribute is added. ... View more

On the regular .exe version, Firefox has an easy to access "Check for updates" button right at Help-->About Firefox Window. MSIX version understandably doesn't have this since Windows Store should care about the Firefox.
