If the `mail.biff.show_tray_icon_always` option is enabled, it would be nice if the tray icon would support three cases: - TB is minimized => show TB - TB is not minimized but not focused => TB is brought to front - TB is focused => TB is minimized Currently, the first two options are already done like that, but in the last case clicking the tray icon just does nothing. It would be awesome if in that case TB is minimized to the tray. This way you can for example click on the tray icon, have a quick look on the situation, and right away hide TB again by just clicking again where your mouse already is, if nothing further is to be done right now.

I would really like the option to go back to the page using two fingers on the touchpad to be removed or optionally configurable, as it gets in the way a lot on pages that have some kind of lateral scrolling problem. I often end up going back to the page when trying to scroll sideways, and I'm quite unhappy about that.

Honestly the only thing that stops me from fully using Firefox on Android is how Mozilla forces us to use their awful homepage.
We should have the option to make any URL we want as the homepage, I like to set mine to Google.co.uk for example. Those shortcuts are useless!

Hello!
I saw there were two similar posts, one idea was about the acquisition of the Canary app entirely. That would be neat, but maybe unnecessary?
The other was a discussion, not an idea, so I thought I’d formally submit this as an idea.
I’ve been using Canary mail for both macOS and iOS for years now and I really like it. I would extra love the ability to have Firefox default to that app, especially with how many other similar options are available.
Thanks for listening 🔥🦊

Vivaldi browser has a great feature – when you hold the CTRL key and hover url bar, it highlights the hovered part of url up until closest slash (/) symbol; and when you click on it it jumps to the selected part of url:
Will be great to see this functionality in Firefox.

I suggest a reduce screen width feature to force a web site to use only 70% of the screen. Would be useful on a ultra wide display with some websites that are not design for that kind of display.

When you click a contact in the address book and want to copy/paste, say, the postal address you can select the text but there's no right-click menu. Ctrl-C does work but because the right-click menu is missing you feel unsure until you paste it.
You can right-click copy from the edit display fields but shouldn't need to go into that.

Right now the only way I see to show/hide the toolbars (tab bar, url bar, etc) in Full Screen on Firefox for Mac is to right click the toolbars and click a button in a context menu but I want to toggle this more quickly than that.
The way Chrome does it is you toggle toolbars with cmd+shift+f. and toggle Full Screen with fn+f
Firefox toggles Full Screen with cmd+shift+f which is an anti-idiomatic keybind for the Mac platform.
I want cmd+shift+f to toggle toolbars and fn+f to toggle Full Screen.

As I understand it, Thunderbird does not load many images in emails by default because the external provider of that image would receive the user's IP address. It seems like some clients, such as outlook.com and gmail.com, just proxy the remote content so the user's IP is only exposed to the proxy provider (Microsoft and Google). While Thunderbird is free and open, is there a technical reason this would not work? As I see it, there are two non-exclusive options. 1. Proxy through a third party I pay for a VPN service, and would appreciate the ability for Thunderbird to use it when retrieving remote content. Would this be possible with an extension? 2. Proxy through Mozilla Mozilla/Thunderbird uses its own servers to retrieve remote content when enabled in settings. I would imagine something like: Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Privacy -> Mail Content -> Retrieve remote content through Mozilla (Though the settings entry would also be a more elegant solution for third-party services, if possible. Maybe by selecting a system network interface?)

When searching something on firefox mobile you go from the search page, to the page you were last on, before finally loading in the page that you searched for. This creates a lot of visual chaos and in my opinion it would be preferable to go straight to the loading page of your search.

Being able to pin websites shortcuts to the taskbar in a simple and easy manner the way chrome and edge do, would be a huge upgrade. Additionally, having these shortcut icons take on the logo of the website they are linking to would be a plus. Chrome and Edge already have this functionality.

Hi Team
Nice work you are doing. was reviewing my passwords and for my local network i have several entries for same record since
1. i saved it up with the IP
2. i saved it again with the dns
3. also saved it as localhost.
Make it possible to merge this into one or the ability to add several urls to same saved password.
not saving means autofill does not work

Idea: add the Cookie AutoDelete (CAD) extension to Firefox for Android Reasoning: CAD allows the user to automatically delete cookies from any website that the user hasn't added an exemption for, which can help user privacy as unnecessary cookies will be automatically deleted.

I can't search for æ,ø,å. It is pissing me off a lot. I am going to switch to Chrome because of that since I'm using the search function a lot in a book. I thought about switching between the book on Chrome and Firefox for all other purposes, but no, it's gonna be annoying. So I'm gonna switch to Chrome which enables users to search for weird letters too.

Hi. I love my Thunderbird email desktop client but at the same time I find it clunky and difficult at times. The calendar in particular could do with improvement. Please consider adding value to the way appointments and dates are presented in calendar. I would like to see the ability to colour the whole cell (specific day) when a task is entered, as opposed to just a tiny little coloured line at the side of a specific entry. For big occasions I want that date to stand out. The whole calendar needs to the ability to add more colour. Even the way the current day is "highlighted" is inadequate in my opinion. It just doesn't stand out. Also the way of setting a date range is cumbersome. Clicking and dragging the range with a mouse and extending the date range dynamically would be much easier than the current method. I'm hoping you can consider these changes. Cheers.

Love collections on mobile but if you accidentally swipe left on a link, it deletes it from your collection with no way to undo it or even know which link got removed if you happen to do it without noticing. An "are you sure" or an "undo" option would be great.

I would like to be able to have a second customizable toolbar where I could have things such as the back and forward arrows, a share button, and the refresh button easily to hand within one press. Something like the way Edge on Android has implemented it, with the main bar with the URL at the top, and the second bar at the bottom, would be great.
