Rather than the ambiguous choice between REFRESH vs. SAFE MODE when one is already in a stressed, at least somewhat confused crash state.. Something to WARN the REFRESH option wipes all browsing history and preferences clean!!! Like, e.g: NUKE PREFERENCES, HISTORY vs. SAFE MODE Would have saved me LOTS of GRIEF!!! Many thanks for your great app!!!! B

User goal: I want to open a link which I viewed a few hours earlier. What I did: I opened a new tab, and typed ^ in the awesomebar, followed by the name of the website. What I expected: A list of recently visited pages which match my search, with the most recent at the top. What I actually got: "Firefox Suggest" showed me older pages, from weeks earlier, but not the link from today that I was looking for! It was probably showing me popular places, which is helpful when searching bookmarks with * or just typing in the awesome bar. But I feel this does NOT fit with history search with ^, which should show most recent pages first. (Didn't it used to work that way?)

Firefox on iOS misses the functionality to add a website to your homescreen. Safari has this functionality and it’s extremely useful. In Safari: If this can’t be implemented separately from desktop PWA support then this request should be merged into https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/bring-back-pwa-progressive-web-apps/idi-p/35

On right-clicking most scrollbars (example demonstrated with Windows Explorer), a menu with handy scrolling shortcuts will appear. Having these within Firefox can save time over having to use the middle mouse button to slowly scroll to a very long page.

In bookmark library, make it possible to find a misplaced bookmark. The current library shows list of found bookmarks when doing a search. Clicking once on the found bookmark shows details at the bottom but does not show where the bookmark was found. I sometimes misplace a bookmark and have to search the entire bookmark library to find it. The new feature would be: When clicking on a found bookmark, change the focus in the left panel to show where that bookmark is located. It would then be easy to move the bookmark to it's proper location.

Some Firefox system page open in the library, but I think we can have Firefox system pages open in tabs by default.

I prefer Firefox to any other browser, but I would appreciate to have a Safari feature, where in full screen the menu bar and tabs automatically disappear. it's a very good feature to have when using laptops or iPads with the smaller displays. Thanks, wanderborn

Please rebuild the Firefox Accoungs login form as a standard one, without splitting the fields for email and password into separate screens. Firefox on iPad OS 16 doesn't seem to identify the form us such and a password manager (Bitwarden) cannot fill-in the data. Manual e-mail entry is necessary to go to the password screen, which can be filled.

Each time a person searches for something online, it saves the search results to a document that they themselves can edit. Perhaps with simple tick boxes to either keep searching for the same thing at various intervals, or delete it from further searchings.
New items are added to the document without the tick to re-search (you never know what someone might search for). If new results are found they get sent to the person's email, text or desktop, wherever the person wants them.
The person can also edit the delay times between new searches.

Some other users say that Firefox should have built-in Ablocker or ublock origin, but I recommend using Adguard as a built-in ad filtering extension, Adguard has strong ad filtering capabilities, and the Adguard browser extension is also an open source ad filtering extension, you can find the source code of this extension in Github, trustworthy, and in addition to some ad filtering features, Adguard also has other privacy features, and in general Adguard is stronger than Adblocker and ublock origin. The Brave browser has built-in ad filtering extensions, and Firefox should have them, so it can't lag behind other browsers for too long

Would really love a Trash Cleanup Tool. I want to keep maybe 5-10% of my old messages but my trash can file is growing huge. A simple tool would really help. The tool would sort and assess messages in a folder (like Trash) and provide message counts in descending order of qty by (selectable) sender, by sender domain, by message size, by subject, etc. For instance, make it easy to clean out of my folder all old promotion emails from Amazon, but not the order confirmation emails. Or all of the newsletter emails from Expedia or Travelocity. While I can and have done manual searches and bulk deletes, I have to try to figure out which senders or subjects to search for. The key here is an intuitive display that of who the bulk of messages in Trash are from.

Hi
It would be really nice if the writing field for emails was supplemented with more writing options. It would be great if the writing field could link to, for example, Libra office.

This suggestion comes from the conversion from Eudora that resulted in multiple Thunderbird Address books. In an Address book search it would be beneficial if there was an "a, b, c, ..." shown to the left of the "greater than" symbol next to the Address book name.
Then in an "All Address Books" search, say, for "Kintisch", in the search result place the "a, b, c, ..." to the left of the Icon now in the left-most position of the search result. Thus I could see at a glance which "Kintisch" names are being returned from what Adress book [Personsl, Eudora, Collected]. This would help me delete duplicates and drag Eudora and Collected addresses into Personal.
