I want to remain "anonymous" when surfing a certain website, so I "always open" it in a container. Then I need to manage some account on it; unpleasant, but still need to. So I created another container for it. However, it's of course "always opened" in the old one. Have to remove the setting to make it work. Please, when the user initiated a reopen in another container, override the always open setting. I assume it's possible, since, well, you can already reopen a tab in a different container? ... Accepting meeting invitations is getting a more and more common part of my workday. When I accept a meeting invitation Thunderbird automatically creates a calendar entry for that meeting. That's very useful. The Problem: Somehow many of my customers have the same "creative" idea of calling all meetings to what subject ever "Meeting with M.". That leaves my calendar rather useless. Unfortunately I can't edit such a calendar entry except setting a reminder. Actually I'd like to be able to edit that calendar entry like every other one but at least change the title of a meeting that was created from a meeting invitation in Thunderbird. My Workaround: As I host most of my calendars in Nextcloud, I open the calendar there where I can easily change the title and sync the change back to Thunderbird. The Solution: It would be great if I could not only set or change a reminder for the meeting in Thunderbird but also change the meeting title. I guess a solution wouldn't need to be too sophisticated. Of course, when I get an updated Invitation it would be nice, if Thunderbird asked if I want to keep my title or apply the one of the invitation. But even if it was just ignored or my title was overwritten, In the rare cases, when I receive a modified meeting invitation, I could change the title of my calendar entry again. It’s kind of weird that such a great e-mail client doesn’t have an option to hide folders. That setting would be useful e.g. when I have an account administrated by a company, and I am unable to delete an unused/unnecessary folder, then Thunderbird would allow me to hide it. The only already existing option similar to that is the option to “Hide Local Folders” but it hides all and as expected only local folders. ... View more

This suggestion comes from the conversion from Eudora that resulted in multiple Thunderbird Address books. In an Address book search it would be beneficial if there was an "a, b, c, ..." shown to the left of the "greater than" symbol next to the Address book name. Then in an "All Address Books" search, say, for "Kintisch", in the search result place the "a, b, c, ..." to the left of the Icon now in the left-most position of the search result. Thus I could see at a glance which "Kintisch" names are being returned from what Adress book [Personsl, Eudora, Collected]. I love how lightweight, elegant and simple Firefox Focus is. As a privacy web-browser, it would be great if there was an option to disable WebRTC in the Privacy & Security Settings. Profiling a user based on their internal IP address via WebRTC is all too easy in Firefox Focus currently, and it should be a fairly quick feature to add, with huge privacy gains. Some of us use addons. Some of us change the settings of addons. Some of us like to backup their saved changes, or manage them externally for example with nixos or home-manager. For both, we want to manipulate the list of *changed* settings, and only those. Because during installation process in nixos/home-manager, or recovery from backup a new firefox profile is created from scratch. I want to have the possibility to only deal with the explicitly changed settings. All settings, default and changed, live in the `addons.json`. I want this file to be broken up. This could work similar to the `user.js`, which contains *changed* preferences, which then gets computed to the `prefs.js` containing *all* settings. ... View more

This is a tradition heading back to the early days of windows. Currently unless the user is clicking on the program via the start menu or an icon on the desktop, they Do Not KNow what program they're running. You've created the same problem that I see with Google Chrome and novices. They DON'T KNOW what program they're running, because it Doesn't Tell Them. You think this is a minor issue - it is not. Thanks for adding the translations feature, especially with offline translations for a number of languages. I value being able to translate text without needing to send my data to someone else. I would be more inclined to use the translations feature if it didn't make the original language disappear altogether. I like the web page translation that Google has, where you can mouse over the translated text and see the original. Seeing both the original and the translated text is helpful for language learners and for those who want to easily check parts of the translation against the original. Would you please consider implementing web page translation in this way? It doesn't take away anything from people who just want to see the translated text--that's all they see, if they don't mouse over anything. Can you develop a method of clearing tabs to the right which are not permanent many of which have appeared from incidental advertising from other websites and from Microsoft Solitaire games etc.?  I like to hold my pinned tabs till I have time to read them so I get a lots of useless unpinned tabs which then need to be discarded   Currently they have to be discarded one at a time which is aggravating as I love my Firefox browser and it is my default browser apart from Brave, Chrome, etc. etc/  Brave is my second best and each browser has  a separate purpose (Brave for investing and money;  Chrome for health;  etc. etc. ... This was probably my most loved and is my most dearly missed feature: upon hovering over the bold folder title a snippet message preview wold appear.  Please bring that back! The way I work some emails get automatically filtered into their respective folder but stay "unread". I can then hover over the folder and see the preview. If it is important I would go into the folder and read the message. If of little consequence (like a newsletter that I like to keep but may only read later) I simply Ctrl+Click and mark the folder as "read". That little feature helps my productivity a lot. We already have Ctrl+Shift+N to reopen last closed window, so adding same functionality to Ctrl+Shift+T seems to kill its initial design. Having multiple windows allows for separate workflows, and previously it was possible to use Ctrl+Shift+T to split them by using multiple windows, with each restoring only its contents. Also it was possible to remove a tab from that workflow by getting it out as a separate window and closing it there, thus not adding it to the closed tab, uh, queue. That helped a lot with opening - for one - messenger links that one weren't interested in keeping open or reopening. The new mode seems to be popular with some users, though, so why not make it a toggle in settings?
