Hi! Please provide a way to combine messages into thread by dragging & dropping message(s) onto another in the message list.  Currently messages combine into a thread based on the Subject; but I often want to keep messages with different titles into one. In the attached screen snip, there are 3 messages regarding a shipment from ebay.  They have 3 different titles, since they are from 3 different origins.  I want to drop messages "B" and "C" (either one at a time or if I multi-select "B" and "C" they can both be dropped in one motion. Once dropped on "A", "B" and "C" would disappear from the message list, and "A" would get the ">" arrow so I can expand to see all the related emails.  As new emails arrive on the subject I could either drag "A" (with "B" & "C" inside) onto the new message OR I could drop the new message onto "A".  Either way, all the messages related to this shipment would be kept together. On Thunderbird desktop, one can click the eye icon to hide/show a given calendar. The option to "Show Only" a given calendar (and hide all others) is only accessible by right-clicking, then selecting the option from the modal/pop-up with the cursor. The colors in Gmail are useful for distinguishing the different labels at a glance. However, the user-created labels in Thunderbird are all the same yellow-ish color. To make transitioning from Gmail to Thunderbird, more natural, these could match. ... View more

For those who use Thunderbird on Desktop AND on their mobile phone, filters, preferences and calendar data should be available on both devices. They should be exchangeable from desktop to mobile and visa versa. Please set or make an option to sync Thunderbird Android sync with the server on opening that app always, even if fetching mail is set to no schedule. Reason: On my tablet, I intentionally have TBird set to not sync on a schedule as I use email on this device so infrequently I don't want it consuming power or data. I use more than 90 folders to tidy my inbox. When I need to access a specific folder or a different email account, it sometimes is painful to scroll until I find the one I need. Would it be possible to implement a rule for the Calendar module, that would let us automatically accept any calendar invitation (typically, Gmail ones) with a preset specific calendar? e.g. My coworker sends me different appointments that I only need to know in order not to make my own appointments at times she will not be in our workshop. Thunderbird # already has a great support for VTODO VCALENDAR and contacts. What is missing though is support for VJOURNAL entries. Journals are close to calendar entries. A great vesoverview gives jtx Additionally they introduce "notes" which are simply journals without a date. The open source calDAV and cardDAV is a great way to share information between groups and family. Journals and notes would complete this sharing nicely. ... View more

Sometimes it is not so easy to identify spam in the inbox. The subject and the sender look OK and only when I click on the mail to open it, I can see the email adress to identify spam. It would be helpfull to see the full sender address when mouse over the sender in the inbox. Hello, I was very surprised that Thunderbird does not offer an option to show the e-mail-adress of the sender in a column in the table (like the columns "From" and "Correspondents"). This new column would be very useful to quickly identify spam/junk e-mails. Unfortunately, Thunderbird still saves all passwords as plain text, which puts them at risk to anyone who has access to your computer. While there is an option to use a master password, it is not commonly used and does not integrate seamlessly with the operating system you are using. ... View more
