This feature makes the drag and dropping of tabs into a new window much quicker and much more responsive. This is a feature that's also in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. This will also not make the users unclick the mouse to make tabs into a new window. Please see the video below for more information about this idea.

Hello,
An idea that I would like to suggest is to integrate into Thunderbird a possibility to empty all the trash of the different accounts presents. Also the possibility after emptying to compress the trash.
For those who know, this is the basic principle of xpunge extension. Empty and compress all or part of the trash and junk folders. I have been using this extension for several years, but like many others, the developers do not all have the means to follow the evolutions of thunderbird, the development methods changing regularly.
Thank you for taking my idea into consideration.

In some areas, the cost of internet and network restrictions are very high. In such a situation, network traffic control becomes important. It would be useful if there was a function to control the traffic consumption, which we could activate when needed, and there was a page next to the page where we could see the amount of internet usage of each tab and total.

I would appreciate if it would be possible to add hardware decoding out of the box for Firefox running on NVIDIA Linux machines, rather than having to jump through a load of hoops and installing the third-party nvidia-vaapi-driver This would help reduce CPU consumption and improve performance when watching online videos

Firefox has a feature that unloads some tabs to save memory, but there is no way to configure it from the Firefox settings page. You can only turn it on or off in about:config, and there is no way to configure how it behaves.
There should be a setting in the Firefox settings page that allows you to turn tab unloading on or off without navigating to about:config (similar to the 'memory saver' feature on Google Chrome). Additionally, there should be options in settings to configure tab unloading, such as changing how aggressive it is, or changing the weightings of certain types of tabs (eg. making pinned tabs just as likely to be unloaded as normal tabs).
The option to change the weighting of tab types, in particular, would be very useful to me. I personally pin the tabs that I access less often, and leave the ones I access more often unpinned. Which means the tab unloading feature does the opposite of what I want, and I often have to unload my pinned tabs manually.

Chromium engineers have implemented an API called nanosecond API (available on Chrome v116) that significantly improves the fluidity of animations when scrolling in Chrome for Android. The suggestion is that Firefox for Android engineers investigate whether the patch is applicable to Firefox as well. The improvement will be noticeable for users with a 90hz+ screen. I leave the article as context here: Chromium Blog: Smoothing out the scrolling experience in Chrome on Android Thank you Firefox engineers for your hard work! ❤️

Out of most important domains and services run by Mozilla, only a few have IPv6 support active with announced AAAA DNS entries. These that do support IPv6 are: developer.mozilla.org foundation.mozilla.org donate.mozilla.org firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org archive.mozilla.org (CDN) thunderbird.net But these are legacy IPv4-only: mozilla.org relay.firefox.com firefox.com fpn.firefox.com monitor.firefox.com support.mozilla.org getpocket.com blog.mozilla.org bugzilla.mozilla.org hacks.mozilla.org mozilla.design download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net (CDN) wiki.mozilla.org discourse.mozilla.org connect.mozilla.org accounts.firefox.com basket.mozilla.org addons.mozilla.org As you probably noticed, this list is considerably longer, contains some of the most important domains and these are just the ones I were able to find by following a few links on the main mozilla.org home page. There's probably a lot more, including underlying API domains that browsers and services make calls to. Please, for the sake of better internet, enable IPv6 support at least on most important, highest traffic domains and APIs your services use.

Just as we all have been very useful for the function of editing the PDF files in Mozilla Firefox, it would be very useful to be able to have the ability to edit images. This can be useful when for example, when downloading an image and wanting to highlight an element of this, we can add lines, geometric shapes such as circles, squares, etc. (which can be chosen the thickness of these lines); We can select a part of the image both rectangular and circulate to be able to copy or delete it. Add texts to which they can freely choose typography, size or color. To be able to change aspects of the image, such as being able to rotate or cut it. Something similar to the PDF editor that we already have in Firefox or the options we have in Macos Preview but available in the browser, where we usually usually do a wide variety of tasks and take into account the following example: We have the image open, and on the other hand, in the sidebar a search. That image has fields where we must fill with words (such as some exercise of some school subject, for example). Then the part of filling these fields becomes a much simpler and more efficient task, since there would be no need to open an external image editor, but that that function was held in the browser. (Some of these functions could also be added to the section of the browser's captures, to have these functions of being able to make brands and edit text at the time of capturing a section of a web page). #images #png #jpg #jpeg #edit As an example of the aforementioned above, I attach an image in which the browser PDF editor toolbar is seen both.

Opening multiple websites (some of which are videos from Bilibili.com) takes up a lot of memory, causing video playback to lag and drop frames. After clicking pause and waiting for a long time, I was very frustrated. Then I checked and found that the usage exceeded 3G. After closing the useless webpage, it was much better. I hope to introduce intelligent memory release or automatic fluency detection functions to reduce memory usage and alleviate lag. Freeze web pages that have not been used for a long time to free up memory, and fully support the main active web pages that are currently in use. Arrange them in order of task level, currently viewed, nearby web pages, and unattended web pages, and allocate their capabilities. Of course, there may also be some reasons for application expansion. If it is an application expansion issue, I hope to provide intelligent expansion scheduling in future versions to serve web pages. Unnecessary extensions do not need to be started, which can also alleviate memory pressure and reduce browser lag. The core demand is to reduce memory usage and improve the smoothness of device operation

When I start TB it takes a very long time for my several calendars to be populated. I have to wait for several minutes before I can see my events for today and the rest of the week/month. This is very annoying when I am in a hurry to know if I should be doing something asap. A work around this problem would be to start with populating all the calendars for this and next month first. Chances are that users will not be in a hurry to find out about events in the past, and they will probably not even realise it takes so long for the process to be completed.

I have some ideas and I hope they will help in the future. I wanted to know if a super optimized version of firefox is possible, for those who very often require a limited ram consumption, a system that loads images at low quality, or high quality etc., in order to save the loading speed (if this it is expected). The second idea is to better customize your user experience. There are so many types of users, and many of the features are useful, others may never be used. Precisely the goal is to aim at saving data, pushing on optimizations. I also ask to be able to create something that allows you to activate or deactivate settings based on what type of user he is, not sacrificing much navigation quality. Consequently, based on the activation and deactivation of the settings, allow you to view some info on performance, if activating or deactivating it you can save or not ram or cpu and which features you lose and sacrifice. Basically it is something that many users are looking for, and to better customize a user experience, and optimizing the app I think is the right way to meet these needs, ignored by only making applications and in modern operating systems that are very heavy compared to 20 Years ago.

I suggest , add this feature , I be able set work offline for only tab or a window, and other windows and tabs be online , I am programmer and some time I need I test my code in offline mode to prevent excessive internet bandwidth usage , but now , when I checked "Work offline" , all Firefox windows and tabs go offline . this not different with I disable my whole network, I think is better to we have isolated tab features. Thank you

Currently, settings for email account folders must be adjusted in multiple places. The scattered nature of this design prevents users from quickly and clearly understanding the settings, making it difficult to find, discover and adjust them. ... There is a setting menu for search, to check what folders should be included in global search ... There are individual setting menus for whether a folder should be • ... synchronized • ... kept local • ... and so on... Suggestion: Single Design: The following suggested layout (table) would easily improve this. Per account and folder settings would get nicely bundled. All interfaces that (currently) handle aspects/subsets of account folders could easily refere to the same table. Benefits: Creating a sense of familiarity with the matter in users. Not only presenting the user always with the same interface, but also providing context on what else could be set on a folder. Synchronize Locally Available Global Search Web Search ▼ {account:name} ☑ ▣ ▣ ☑ └─ 📬 Inbox ☑ ☑ ☑ ☑ └─ 📂 Archiv ☑ ☐ ☐ ☑ ▶ {account:name} ☑ ☐ ☐ ☐ ☑ = checked ☐ = unchecked ▣ = Summery of subordinate folders; some checked, some unchecked NOTE: Changing the setting for a parent folder, also could adjusts the setting accordingly for all subordinate folders.
