Edit Bookmark and DeIete Bookmark are too close to each other, so it's easy to contact them by mistake, and it's too troublesome to add an option of “Are you sure you want to delete the bookmark? So I want to use Ctrl + Z to restore accidentally deleted bookmarks after accidentally deleting them and before clicking on a blank space. (For privacy, after deleting a bookmark, you can't use Ctrl + Z to restore the bookmark if you click on any blank space.)

If there is anything on the web more annoying than having to log in, submit a captcha, copy a message for two-factor authentication, answer an email, then log in again, I have yet to see it.
My idea is to provide hardware-based logins for web sites, allowing you to log into your device and then never having to type in a password for as long as you're logged on to the device. This could be implemented by using something like a YubiKey or some other device that generates a random certificate that gets put on the device and submitted in place of a password for any Mozilla-based login. From then on, the website then checks this random cert instead of asking for a password.

Recently, when I joined an online meeting through my browser; I had used picture-in-picture mode to be able to see what was presented while I used other tabs and programs. However, I noticed that there wasn't an option to mute/unmute, turn on/off the camera, and other controls. Now, I don't know if this is possible to integrate in Firefox's picture-in-picture mode. But I feel like with this kind of functionality implemented in picture-in-picture mode, it would save users' time in being able to turn on/off their microphone or camera from the picture-in-picture mode. Instead of having to go back to the tab where the meeting is and turn on/off their camera or microphone. Sure, some people would have the meeting software installed on their computer, but there are users would rather use their browser to join or host meetings.

Step 1: Ctrl + F Step 2: Click brush icon Step 3: Draw on the canvas Step 4: Click search icon And then the browser will find the items that match the outlines on the page and mark them as such. This feature is useful when searching for a character that cannot be typed, but only if the user is able to use the mouse to draw the desired pattern without a touch or stylus. Maybe in the future it would be nice to add a brush with a different color, or the ability to find a particular frame of a GIF.

After updating to 131.0b1, I've got the new tab preview feature and it's a nice feature but there can be some improvements. It should have an option that changes its size (ex: 1, 2 (default), 3, 4, ...) (example in the image). It should also update the preview when the website changes, ex: when there's a video (so make it refresh at the user's FPS / make an option based on FPS refresh: 0/15/30/60/120/165/... fps (for performance reasons)).

I recently started to use the convenient side panel for History and Bookmarks but noticed that Downloads are "missing" there.
I'd love to be able to press CTRL + "letter", drag and drop a downloaded file to a folder or an external app from the side panel and then re-use the same keyboard shortcut to close the side panel.
I believe it would be more ergonomic and productivity-focused feature for many users.

In Youtube, pause the video and press“< ( , )”and“> ( . )”keys, you can skip to the next frame and go back to the previous frame. I hope Firefox can use these two shortcuts when playing a video on any web page, including when opening a local video. Also, it would be great if this feature could support other media such as GIF.

it would be nice to be able to move tabs while in full screen, without the tabs container collapsing while doing see video for more info, the tab auto collapses as soon as you begin to move a tab which is confusing and makes it bothersome since you have to tab out to place it correctly

A niche but growing phenomenon is cloud gaming. Cloud gaming has giant data centers running a game you want to play and then streams that game to your device. With this it can allow you to use older hardware cloud gaming, Mobile-Android, Desktop, Mobile-iOSthat might not be able to run the game otherwise. This also allows you to save on storage space on your computer. With all of this I keep having to go back to Chrome because no cloud streaming service supports playing through the Firefox browser. I hope Firefox can speak to these companies and make it to so their browser can be supported. For context i will link some of the more popular streaming services to show they do not allow using a Firefox browser https://www.amazon.com/luna/getting-started https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/games-apps/cloud-gaming/supported_browsers https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/system-reqs/#browser

Could increase the number of "restore previous session" options. Because if a user have a closed session, open Firefox, open a tab, and forget to restore the previous session, the previous session is gone, because it will be the session for that new tab. If the "restore previous session" option worked twice, it would be better, because user would only need to use the function twice and the session you really want to recover would be recovered. The main competitor in the market allows the user to recover multiple times and Firefox would gain points if it also allowed using the session recovery function multiple times

I want a switch that, when turned on, installs extensions that are not verified. This can be done in about:config, but you can't change the options in about:config on Firefox android. So hopefully you guys can provide a switch. I want to install the latest version of ghostery, this latest version is version 10, but the latest version in the Firefox extension store is version 8, version 10 has a new interface, I like it. Then I want to go to Github to download and install, and I encountered the above problem, ghostery is open source, I believe it's safe, and this extension is on the shelves in Firefox, but the latest version is not on the shelves

Simple request: Add -fullscreen as a command line option. While the -Kiosk option exists, there is no access to the address bar in that mode. Adding fullscreen command line option allows the window to operate in more of a public browsing style window, but it could be used for many different purposes.

I've run into a few issues repeatedly when trying to "find a website when I know roughly when I saw it once before". Meaning I expect 'history' to... "Show every URL I've gone to before, starting with now and going backward in time. Without any further input by me to get that order, and keep showing more if I keep scrolling down. With 'search' happening across all time unless I tell it otherwise." Issue 1: I've run into some filtering (missing entries I know should exist) unless I "press alt while opening history"? I haven't searched to figure out how/why that helps, but thank you random Reddit person for the suggestion/workaround. Guess I should do that next, but I swear I tried to search already and couldn't find a description (nor explanation for shortcuts related to history beyond the obvious). Issue 2: Yes, filtering down to day by day probably makes certain operations more efficient (the current forced buckets on the left). But it makes the user need to do more work, which feels like a 'bad thing'. Meaning instead of click text field then search... I tend to click text field, then remember I need to pick the correct 'day(s)' bucket (unless I'm searching only today, which is rare for me), then click search again, and finally type what to search by. Issue 3: Today I just noticed that there is no column to sort by that'll display in 'when visited' order, only 'last visited'. Meaning they won't necessarily appear in the order that I visited them (what I assumed a history's default sort order should be). Sure, it's easier/simpler and uses less space to only record the most recent visit. But that breaks any true/simple (chronological) visit history, right? If I search for a place I visit often I'd expect to be able to see all visits as rows. Anyway, I don't know all the reasons for changing to what I see now, but I hesitate to file a bug (or 3) yet. Is this what a modern history should be? Am I just a dinosaur with how I expect it to function still? And it'd be all better if I could just [insert new paradigm or feature] instead.

The previous days I found a nasty malware on my PC. I observed that it has stolen the saved passwords out of my browser and it tried to impersonate my browser on another device (located in Nepal/Vietnam). Some of my accounts were smart enought to block the login and request a password change (ex. Google, Instagram), but some other accounts were unfortunately accessed (even with 2FA activated) and some activity was made (ex. Steam). I would like an option, like on mobile, to access the Passwords menu ONLY after entering a password or maybe entering a 2FA password. I don't know if the passwords stored in the browser are encrypted (I mean the local DB or the file that stores them, or the sessions, etc.), but it would be also a good idea to encrypt those. Firefox

The AI in sidebar looks good, but it would be really awesome if you add a shortcut for more usability. Clicking by mouse every time to open chat is very uncomfortable and takes long time!
Also it would be convenient to open some items from sidebar menu on the left side, whereas AI opened on the right side. Thanks!

Option to specify available physical RAM threshold used for tab unloading process. This could include a sub option whether or not to include page file capacity.
Ability to not include last access time, but unload solely based on the tab with highest memory use. This could include a sub option to also unload an active tab if all other tabs have been unloaded already and the threshold is still being exceeded.
Option to unload elements not visible in view port of tabs after a specified amount of time. This could be framed as dynamic or lazy tab content unloading. When the tab is brought to the foreground, unloaded elements could be reloaded as the page is scrolled up or down. I'm thinking this could potentially save RAM on infinite scrolling pages.
Ability to call a manual tab unload using a batch or PS script command, for advanced user customization.
Anything that can be done to prevent web content from driving Windows to page to disk, doesn't just increase the performance and stability of Firefox, but also the system overall. I would love to see some or all of these make into the last 115 ESR release, but understand if this is not likely. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. 🙂

Understanding Wide Gamut and Its Benefits
What is Wide Gamut? A "gamut" is essentially a range of colors that a device, like a monitor or a printer, can produce. When we talk about a "wide gamut," we're referring to devices that can display a broader spectrum of colors compared to standard devices.
Most regular screens use something called the sRGB color space, which is a standard range of colors suitable for everyday tasks. However, wide gamut screens use advanced color spaces like Adobe RGB or DCI-P3, which cover a larger range of colors. This means they can show more variations and nuances in color, leading to richer and more vivid images.
Why is Wide Gamut Important?
Enhanced Visual Experience: Wide gamut screens can display colors that are closer to what we see in real life. This results in more vibrant, lifelike images and videos, making everything from movies to photos look more immersive.
Better Color Accuracy: For professionals in fields like photography, graphic design, and video production, color accuracy is crucial. Wide gamut screens ensure that the colors they see while editing are true to life and consistent across different devices and mediums.
Future-Proofing: As technology advances, more content is being created in wider color spaces. Having a wide gamut screen means you're ready to enjoy this new, higher-quality content as it becomes available.
Improved Printing: If you print photos or artwork, a wide gamut monitor allows you to see a more accurate representation of the colors that will appear on the printed material, leading to better and more predictable print results.
Everyday Benefits Even if you're not a professional artist or photographer, you can still benefit from wide gamut technology. Here are a few examples:
Watching Movies: Experience films as the director intended, with more accurate and vibrant colors.
Gaming: Enjoy games with richer graphics and more detailed environments.
Browsing Photos: View your personal photos with enhanced detail and color accuracy.
In summary, wide gamut technology enhances the way we see and interact with digital content, making it more vibrant, accurate, and true to life. Whether for professional use or personal enjoyment, it offers a significant improvement in visual quality.
The Impact of Wide Gamut and HDR Technology
The combination of wide gamut and HDR technologies significantly enhances the visual experience by providing richer colors, improved contrast, and more lifelike images. Whether for entertainment, content creation, or everyday use, this powerful duo brings out the best in visual content, making everything look more realistic and engaging.
Key Benefits:
Vivid Colors: More shades and enhanced contrast for detailed, realistic visuals.
Better Experience: More engaging entertainment and accurate, future-proof content creation.
Firefox doesn't currently support WCG (needs some configurations on about:config for monitor color profile to support) and HDR. You see content like the left side, but once HDR and WCG are supported, your videos, movies, and high-quality photos will look like the right side.
You can test your browser and monitor for wide gamut support using this link (Chromium browsers are already supported): https://www.wide-gamut.com/test
I tested my monitor with the chromium browser and added the results; as you can see, the letter 'W' is inside the red square.
Dear @david-rubino, I hope the dev team releases this feature with the HDR support deadline.

I want to set a different default search engine for Windows and Private Window, which Firefox doesn't have at the moment, but I think it's necessary. By the way, I hope that Firefox will add the Brave search engine to the list of search engines in Firefox, which is also a search engine that focuses on privacy.
