I have found myself frequently accidentally opening the chatbot shortcut while attempting to select text to translate when I am looking on platforms where it is not offered automatically, and I wonder whether it is worthwhile replacing the chatbot shortcut with a bit more of a quick hover utility as it helps not focus on the AI element quite as much and instead the convenience of having quick actions like "translate this text", "search on [search engine]", alongside the current chatbot-based prompts. I think this could be a handy way to speed up the workflow for users who choose to enable the feature by having a quick way to choose what they want to do with the selected text. Additional options could be buttons to copy the selected text with or without formatting (possibly able to be compacted into two smaller buttons at the top/bottom of the popup next to each other), and I'm sure there are other possible options that would not be hard to implement as well. I do think if there is a growing number of things added to the list then it may be worth adding a section in preferences to enable/disable some options. I know the most useful feature for me right now is probably adding the options to translate/search this selected text as there is not currently a keyboard shortcut that can do this action, where I can copy the text with a keyboard shortcut, but I know that other users do not use keyboard shortcuts as much as I do (if at all) so it could be a great alternative way to speed things up for more users. ... The AI in sidebar looks good, but it would be really awesome if you add a shortcut for more usability. Clicking by mouse every time to open chat is very uncomfortable and takes long time! I love extensions like Dark Reader that automatically transform any website with a dark theme. The way they do this is by injecting many new styles into the DOM, it works but there is two main drawbacks to this method : - there's a latency that makes contents blink - it reduces performances on some websites by a lot So It would be great if there could be a built-in low level solution (directly in web render?) that would swap colors on the fly without editing the page styles and thus would solve the two aforementioned issues. ... Sometimes it is not so easy to identify spam in the inbox. The subject and the sender look OK and only when I click on the mail to open it, I can see the email adress to identify spam. It would be helpfull to see the full sender address when mouse over the sender in the inbox. Even better, when a spam button would be directly included with the mouse over bubble with the full email. ... View more

Hello, I was very surprised that Thunderbird does not offer an option to show the e-mail-adress of the sender in a column in the table (like the columns "From" and "Correspondents"). This new column would be very useful to quickly identify spam/junk e-mails. In light of the recently-added tab groups feature, one feature which I think would be really welcome would be a keyboard shortcut (similar to Ctrl + T) which opens a new tab directly to the right of the current tab, in the same group as the currently-active tab. Before I switched from Chrome to Firefox, I was an avid user of the "New Adjacent Tab" extension, which implemented this behaviour. There is a similar add-on for Firefox ("Open Adjacent New Tab") but it does not perfectly replicate the behaviour of the Chrome extension when the currently-selected tab is the rightmost tab in its group. Ublock Origin is one of the most popular add ons, and I think it would be great to integrate it directly into Firefox and Firefox Mobile as a setting. Perhaps it could be part of the 'strict' setting of the tracking protection, or it could be a separate setting for blocking ads. Microsoft Edge has a built in optional ad blocker on mobile, and I think having this in Firefox on desktop and mobile would be a great benefit, rather than relying on users knowing about it and having them download it from the add on store. ... I'm a UX designer. I have set up my ff for pc in the most optimum way, usability wise. Very good looking too:D -Please check the ss attached. Just one pain point-sub setting for vertical tabs is added along with history, bookm and chatgpt icons in the control tab under the vertical tabs. I need to resize the width of the vert tabs even smaller, only keeping 3 icons. I don't wanna turn off bookmarks, so I'm forced to keep the sub setting. please put it last in the general settings page since this sub setting for vert tabs is rarely used. Just like how we used to be able to select "compact." I understand that more and more people are using vertically oriented devices like phones and tablets, but there is still a huge market share of users on desktop devices, and with the market saturated by widescreen displays, taking up vertical space while having 4 inches of white space on the left and right side of practically every website makes no sense. A recent update removed a great feature. On Desktop Firefox, I used to be able to open the Tabs From Other Devices Sidebar, and right click on (say) Pixel 7 > Open All Tabs. This has been removed recently and I can only left click a device to collapse all tabs underneath it.  This was a really good feature. It was the quickest and most reliable way to move dozens of tabs from mobile to desktop. I can still push, not pull (i.e. on mobile select all tabs > share > Firefox Desktop) but this is very unreliable. They only push 3-4 at a time, and recently I pushed ~ 80 tabs but only 40 arrived, which I realised after closing (I'm now manually reconciling tabs to ensure they made it which is ridiculous). ... MacOS and Windows 11 recently got their native context menus with their respective transparent blurred surfaces. On linux, it doesn't seem to be doable from userChrome CSS (transparency is there, but blur is not picked up), and while there is an about:config flag for native GTK context menus, on my machine it's a mess, being a list of every possible option in a context menu.
