Mozilla and Firefox is all about protecting its users and not taking advantage of people's data and mind.
The proposal here would be to have a Zen Mode (not the final name, but you get the idea). This mode, when enabled, would consist of the following, and this would all be configurable:
Reduce the maximum number of tabs to 5
Peaceful selection of musics to be played in the background
Block all pop-ups and force strict mode protection (privacy)
Disable all notifications
The toolbar would have all icons hidden besides a Zen Mode toggle and just show the url.
Reader mode enabled by default for all websites besides search engines
I believe this would bring value and bring a unique feature to Firefox.

Before updating to newer version bookmark folders were yellow as they should, but in current version they are white and there is no way to change that. This should be added to options so we could chose the color we want.

While largely forgotten by mainstream internet users, RSS feeds and RSS subscriptions are still supported to this day, and on Firefox there exist extensions like FeedBro and Livemarks to support RSS subscribing years after Firefox dumped native support. The only problem with these extensions is that they offer no means to sync feeds across multiple devices through Firefox Sync. In the case of Livemarks (itself based on Firefox's old native implementation), the reason ultimately comes down to the way Bookmarks are tagged, as Livemarks saves RSS feeds as Bookmarks, but can only update those feeds when the original device is active (IE: the device the initial feeds subscription was made on). https://github.com/nt1m/livemarks/issues/22
I propose two solutions to this: 1. Update either Bookmarking tags or Extension Bookmark permissions to enable Livemark syncing across multiple devices
2. Implement a new native RSS Reader solution that could sync feeds across multiple devices (that is, one made with Firefox Sync in mind).
It is worth noting that nearly every modern web browser has some kind of "news feed" feature that allows for updated news articles on the new tab page. On Firefox currently, the equivalent is "Pocket" integration, wherein popular Pocket articles are shared on the new tab page. This could be incorporated into a native RSS reader, wherin Pocket is the default source but users are encouraged to subscribe to additional sources as they browse. Alternatively, Pocket itself could be reworked as both a "Read-It-Later" service and a RSS Reader, and could be a source of revenue for Firefox. Update: With the news that Thunderbird will adopt K-9 Mail as it's Mobile Client with the potential to sync more than just emails between devices, Thunderbird's native RSS Reader could also be an opprotunity to sync RSS Feeds with a Mozilla Account.

Up until now I kept quiet, but removing the DOWNLOAD PROMPT was the last drop. So here's my idea: DO. NOT. DROP. "OBSOLETE". FUNCTIONS. Instead, here's what you do: Keep a "legacy settings" in preference, which should allow users to revert to the functions they are used to, and before every major update RUN A FREAKING POLL before CONSIDERING taking out an old function.

On a pinned tab, playing some sound, in the hurry, one can click on the sound icon instead of the tab itself. This way, instead of focusing the tab, we'll be muting it, resulting in couple more clicks until we're at the desired state (unmuted & focused tab). One possible solution is to (have the option to) keep the icon only as an indicative measure (i.e. non-clickable)

Hello, I have a suggestion for Pocket (Android app). Icons in "Lists" and "Content Type" sections above the label list in the menu we access from the bottom left of the screen are descriptive enough. I suggest to use icons alone. I can’t wait to hear your ideas. Good Days... Example:

Similar to how we can have separators between bookmarks in our bookmarks bar, I would like to be able to use separators to group my extensions and other toolbar buttons in the toolbar and overflow menu. I already have them clustered by purpose - privacy, content injection, other - but having a visual separation would be pleasing.

For example, say you have https://example.org/long/path open in a background tab already, and you want to open the same URI in your current tab, so you start typing example.org into the address bar. Autocomplete shows you https://example.org/long/path [Switch to Tab], so you scroll down and select it so you don't need to type the entire address with the long path into the address bar. Now the address bar says [Switch to Tab:] https://example.org/long/path, but you want to instead open the site in your current tab, and not switch to the already open tab. Clicking on the [Switch to Tab] icon in the address bar does nothing and doesn't get rid of it. Visually, the only option is to either hit enter, and thus switch to the already open tab, or change the address in some way that autocomplete doesn't recognize it as the address of an already open tab. The solution I found to this issue is to start typing in the address bar, which changes the address slightly, then delete the changes and it removes the [Switch to Tab:] badge, allowing you to just hit enter and open the address in your current tab. I don't think that behavior is intuitive or accessible. I think simply putting an exit icon like an x on the badge to be a good visual solution, like [x Switch to Tab:] https://example.org/long/path. Also, hitting the Esc key on your keyboard should also get rid of the [Switch to Tab:] badge from the address bar when you don't watch to switch to the tab. I attached a screenshot as an example.

Firefox Fennec had a great tabbed interface on tablets. When Fenix came, we regressed to a stretched out phone UI. After years of stagnation, Android tablets are rising again, thanks to foldables and new initiatives from Google. Firefox is missing out by not including a tabbed interface for Android tablet users, particularly because FF has best in class syncing abilities. Android power users are enthusiastic recommenders of their favorite browsers, so it would be huge advantage over Chromium based competitors!

I'm personally a heavy tab user but have always wondered why there is almost no support for tab grouping or customization in the native tab bar in Firefox.
I think making it able to group like Google Chrome does for example or at least giving more access for extensions and add-ons would significantly improve the UI in that regard.

I love extensions like Dark Reader that automatically transform any website with a dark theme. The way they do this is by injecting many new styles into the DOM, it works but there is two main drawbacks to this method : - there's a latency that makes contents blink - it reduces performances on some websites by a lot
So It would be great if there could be a built-in low level solution (directly in web render?) that would swap colors on the fly without editing the page styles and thus would solve the two aforementioned issues.

Apologies for vague title. Some small but useful improvments when opening Manage Bookmarks (Ctrl+Shift+O)
Make the Library default to All Bookmarks (instead of Other Bookmarks)
Make All Bookmarks actually show, well, all bookmarks! (instead of what it does now)
Show number/count of bookmarks
I would like to have the option to integrate the Library into a tab instead of a separate window (I made a post on crowdcity for this), this may need to be a separate idea submission though
When adding a bookmark you get a thumbnail preview - could this be saved and used in the address bar or in bookmarks as a more visual way of browsing your bookmarks?
Thanks!

Can this widget be made black text on white background, or white on black? The red clashes horribly with everything else on Home Screen, most other widgets have a white background. If you must keep this red version then please add different colour versions to select.

On iOS when you’ve opened the Open Tabs navigation, you have two icons at the bottom of your screen, delete tab and new tab. These icons are too hard to hit. Suggestions to fix: 1. move them in from the edge of the screen a little. 2. make their hit zone bigger.

There should be a dark theme for mozilla.org and addons.mozilla.org.
The latter is particularly important, since it is a protected page and addons like Dark Reader cannot touch it.
If you're worried about wasting developer time on designing this from scratch, you could cheat by using the Dark Reader npm library. There is an option to export the autogenerated CSS as a string (exportGeneratedCSS). You could use this as a starting point and modify/correct any of the mistakes the Dark Reader algorithms made.
Documentation: https://github.com/darkreader/darkreader#using-dark-reader-for-a-website
Bonus points if you can make the light/dark themes switch based on prefers-color-scheme so it matches OS/browser theme settings.

About Firefox, manage history, manage bookmarks, downloads and any other menu items that open in a new window should open in a new tab. The current behaviour is inconsistent. TLDR: popularize Firefox uC styles among regular users by representing them as content downloadable from AMO (just like regular themes) and promoting this 'advanced customization' as a unique feature and not something shady used only by "power users".
One of the greatest advantages of Firefox over other browsers is its interface is highly and easily customizable, thanks to using XUL for its UI. With minimal knowledge of CSS and 1-2 hours of learning you can change almost anything you want!
Firefox GNOME Theme One of a few dozens one-liner styles FlyingFox MaterialFox
Knowing that, it's weird to see Mozilla doesn't do anything about this feature at all! For example, to install the style, you have to enable uC support (labeled as "legacy stylesheets") in advanced settings which regular users won't ever go to, then find a style on potentially unsafe community forums, and then manually "install" it by moving it to the chrome folder. Not to mention this feature seems to never was actively developed, not allowing to anyhow store several styles, having several security vulnerabilities etc.
So, what do I think Mozilla should do:
Actively promote this feature as one of Firefox's benefits (because it is). Most Chromium-based browsers can only provide a very limited customization options, so Firefox will definitely stand out with this. Most of them don't even allow you to rearrange toolbar icons! For example, take a look at Vivaldi - one of its selling features is high (comparing to other Chromium-powered browsers) customization, and Firefox can potentially provide way more options!
Improve the way userChrome works now The idea is to treat uC style the same as regular extensions and themes, providing config keys as extension permissions. This also means it'll require to ensure the uC style security (make a verification to protect browser from malicious sideload, fix possible security vulnerabilities (e.g. allow uC styles to load only other CSS files and PNG/SVG images) etc.) and maybe document some unclear parts of it somewhere on MDN.
Create a section for userChrome styles on addons.mozilla.org AMO Styles page mockup with a few themes showcased.Since the sideload will no longer be an easy option (though still possible for debugging), people obviously would need a place where they can easily download uC styles they want. Why not provide them with one then? They also should be clearly distinguished from themes, as the first ones intended for simpler customization and most of uC styles are fully theme-compatible.
What do you think? Hope this suggestion will get some good feedback 🙂
