1. The option to delete a bookmark group is directly near the option for editing the group: accidential selection is very likely.

2. Even if the bookmark group contains other bookmarks, there is no warning dialogue!

I deleted accidentially a very important collection in my bookmarks and had no chance to recover it. This should definitely be avoided!.

Cheers,

Torsten Holmer

This happened to me once and now I don't delete bookmarks, ever.  I wholeheartedly agree this should be a priority.

torstenholmer, I submitted a similar idea after you had submitted yours:
https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/add-optional-confirmation-prompt-for-deleting-bookmarks/idi-p/7...

The only difference is that I requested that this confirmation appears for single bookmark deletions as well as for bookmark folders or groups.

But yes please add a delete confirmation. If it is made optional and can be turned on or off, then no user could object. Those who want instant deletions can continue as before, whereas this would surely save other users from either the accidental loss of bookmarks, or the worry of this.

File Explorer for Windows has an optional delete confirmation for files and folders, please add something similar to Firefox.
