Please Add a confirmation prompt for deleting a bookmark or bookmarks folder. But of course make it optional for those that want instant deletions.

I am a keyboard user and often navigate around in the bookmarks side panel and library with the home and end keys etc. But I am always nervous that I will hit the delete key and delete something by accident. I know that I can press ctrl+Z to undo a deletion, but first I would have to have noticed it.

I am especially more aware of this at the moment as my new keyboard has sensitive keys that require less force to activate.

Having to manually select OK on a confirmation prompt before a bookmark or folder is removed, just as I would need to when deleting a file in File Explorer,  would greatly alleviate this nervousness!

Thanks.

Fully agree! I have accidentally deleted bookmarks and folders of bookmarks, and noticed only after they were no longer recoverable.

Currently Firefox asks for confirmation of things which have much less of an impact, like opening too many tabs at once, or closing them. It would be very reasonable to have a setting to choose whether one wants a delete confirmation (or not).
