On Win 11 (and probably Win 10) new message notifications in the Windows sidebar should be batched to reduce unwelcome distraction to the user. Currently, each mail triggers a notification which is OK if you receive one or two messages but if e.g. 20 messages are received one after another this creates many notifications one-after-another which is distracting and annoying. For me, this behaviour happens when the computer wakes up in the morning and starts picking up dozens of emails that have arrived overnight. Each email produces one notification message in the sidebar + the sound for new message. It is extremely annoying to the point of switching the notifications off. Instead I suggest that Thunderbird either: 1. Looks up the count of new messages in the email account; if more than one message is found then issue only one notification saying e.g. "You have 10 new messages from x, y, z" (or just "You have 10 new messages at joe@example.com") 2. If new message count lookup is not possible, then debounce the notifications. When new email is received wait e.g. 5-10 seconds before creating a notification in the sidebar. If during this waiting period there are no more new messages - issue a single notification; if more than one message is received you can wait some more or issue a combined / batched notification.     ... It takes a long time to right-click and select "Translate Selected Text" when there can be just a shortcut for that, you select the text and press the shortcut and the floating text box appears translating. My suggestion for the shortcut would be Ctrl + Space. ... View more

Color picker in Firefox is just awful. I think we should have something way more advanced in 2024, this takes me back to 2010. The improvements I propose are: Let you paste hex colors. Firefox's tool for getting the color of a pixel copies the hex value to clipboard, but for some reason we can't paste it in here. Absolutely no sense. Fancier UI or at least some way to make changes. It doesn't even match Firefox's theme, nor system's. Something similar to the Edge one would be nice. Ability to copy the color of a pixel on the screen and use it straight away. It should be possible to assign a shortcut-key for the built-in translator in Firefox for desktop. in the same way add an option to the contextual menu as happens in chrome or edge (and if God wants to give the possibility to sooner or later reduce that cumbersome contextual menu of elements that, at least for me, I have never used in my life) obviously there shouldn't be two different buttons to translate and show the original page but only one that alternates between the translated page and the original one similar to the "TWP - translate web pages" extension   ... Currently, there is ALWAYS a bookmark highlighted/selected in the bookmark manager. I constantly accidentally move bookmarks out of order because of this. Currently due to poor eye sight, I need to enlarge text and all to 300% on windows 10 and 11. Doing this also enlarge Firefox browser such that the Menu++ bars are occupying close to 1/3 of my screen. This makes it very difficult to browse the contents as we can only see a little, sometimes not even a whole row of content. So the suggestion is to allow resizing for the Menu++ bars just like resizing a image by grabbing the edge and moving it to the desired size and/or allow us to have the option to hide all the bars just like the way we could hide the task bar automatically and when it the mouse hovers over the top of the browser or have a button at top to show the menu++ bars again. Manage bookmarks shows all the fields except Keyword (ie Name, URL and Tags), but when assigning keywords or finding urls with keywords it would be helpful to see them and allow sorting by Keyword column as well. I like to occasionally use Autofill to fill in forms like for my address and email. However, it is too aggressive and overwrites things I have already entered. I don't want autofill to change the answers in fields I have already filled out. For example, I enter a friend's address in a form who I want to send something to. At the bottom of the form it asks for my address as the sender. If I choose the Firefox autofill address it goes through the whole form and enters my saved address over the recipients name and address I already entered.
