Firefox Color doesn't let me modify my current theme, and the only way I've found was through creating a custom .css file and modifying the appropriate elements there. It's way too complicated. I have just downloaded Firefox after a long absence. While the setup checklist is useful, I don't wish to bring across all my favourites or bookmarks from my previous browser, yet if I don't "Import from previous browser" the "Finish setup" message continues to sit there nagging me in the top right corner of the browser window. It was previously suggested to me that to stop the threading, to change the subject in the reply.  This does NOT work, regardless of how many times a subject is changed.  (I use Edit as New Message.)    The threads get so long that the message titles can't be seen in the email list - in the 1st screenshot, what looks like a Blank area in the Subject column is not blank; the list continues with that column out of sight.  The second s-shot is to show the changing subjects. On Firefox Mobile (Android), when a password is unveiled in the Saved Passwords view, the full password may not be shown. For very long passwords the password is clipped in the view, and neither scrollable nor ... indicating the clipping is shown. Struggled quite a while why my password is wrong. I'm one who prefers the largest reading Pane (not pain) possible.  How can the word "INBOX" be removed from each email address folder? This Inbox we already know due to the Header for Inbox, it really doesn't need to be repeated. This will enlarge the width of the reading Pane approximately 6-7%.  Another request for email Headers. The ability to pin tabs that will always reset to a specific URL location when accessed, that is, Static Tabs. Currently, when you browse within a pinned tab, and you return to that pinned tab, you will have to access a bookmark to return to the original url. My solution will essentially add a row of pinned tabs that will always load or reset to the same URL when clicked. Add the ability to proxy traffic only for selected domains. Now the browser only has "No proxy for", we need the opposite function "use proxy only for". I want to be able to fully use Firefox proxy together with the CloudFlare WARP client to redirect traffic only for selected sites. In CloudFlare WARP, you can register domains for split tunneling, but this doesn't work because the browser uses DoH (DNS over HTTPS) and ECH (Encrypted Client Hello) - I do not want to disable these technologies. The only thing left is to use the local proxy server function in CloudFlare WARP - in this mode, their client works as a local proxy server (receives traffic from other programs configured for a local proxy) and sends it to their VPN. ... When I share a tweet on e.g. the Twitter app, the only Firefox-related option is to open the tweet on the Firefox app on my device. More often than not, though, I want to send the tweet to another device. Currently, I have to share to Firefox and then re-share from Firefox to do that.   I'm often going through mails and deciding to delete or archive one after another. Since I can delete them with backspack or del thats fine but theres no hint on hovering over the archive button on it having a keyboard combo to activate. What really bugs me is that I often click archive on one mail after another and then suddenly the buttons change. I understand that different kind of mail offer different kind of actions but this is really annoying for me and I would love the default buttons always stay in the same place for consistency. Only to find out that on my sync'd desktop, the new password were transferred, but none of the old defunct accounts (that I deleted on my laptop) were deleted from my desktop.  Or my phone for that matter. Now I have to spend more hours on my desktop finding and deleting the old logins.  I researched a solution (see final post in link above), but something like that is above my comfort level, so I'm hoping Mozilla can do the right thing and sync deletions as well as new and updated passwords. Please allow users to tap and hold a bookmark to drag it to a custom position. This should be possible on the app too. The Chrome app has had this function for years. For some reason Firefox limits us to alphabetical or chronological order in the app. There is now also a "sort by custom order" option, but this only seems to shuffle around my bookmarks to a random order!! hi, it's good that there is a dark mode option in the mozilla settings, but it doesn't seem to be forced for every website. there are so many websites like even this one here that doesn't seem to be available in dark mode. other browsers like opera gx for example has an option to "force dark mode" on websites. this option should also be available in mozilla firefox because i don't want to be forced to use opera gx just because i'm constantly flashbanged while browsing the web via firefox. it's extremely tiring for my eyes and annoying on top of that. so will there be an option to force every single website to be viewed in dark mode? not every websites seems to have an option to manually actiavte dark mode in case firefox is unable to apply the dark mode. thanks in advance! mytea ... What? Create a view with TABS. Actual visible tabs. Optional, of course. Effectively desktop/tablet mode. Why? Convenience and visibility. It takes basically twice as much taps to create, or switch between tabs. Also, you need to tap to see, what you have even open. So let me expand: My primary browser on desktop is Firefox, so I would greatly benefit from the linked account, also mobile Firefox (android) does allow add-ons, which is great. However, I am a power user, and I really use lots of tabs. Not necessarily in the terms of large volumes, let's say usually between 5 and 10, but rather dynamically opened, used, then switched elsewhere. Currently, I am basically forced to use Opera on my Android device, as this is as far as I know the only browser, that has actual tabs, so I can all the times see, what I have open, and conveniently switch between tabs on one tap, or worst case, one slide and one tap. Firefox, on the other hand, follows whatever Google came up with years ago. I do remember times, when actually Firefox was the browser with tabs (around Android 4). So in the end, for a person, that needs to switch a lot, the current mode is basically unusable, because in average, the same action takes basically twice as much steps. I am attaching a screenshot for a comparison between Firefox and Opera for Android.   Oh and one more thing. I know about the swipe between tabs. That is not a solution, as it requires you to remember the order of the tabs, which is a challenge, if you have many open, and some of them opened dynamically from other tabs, as I do have it. So then you just end up scrolling .... of course in a wrong direction, because your tab that you need will be elsewhere ... heh.     So please, can we make this happen? Thanks!   ... View more

Hello! As a project for one of my MBA classes, I came up with an idea for a browser sub-application, with a simple MVP screen shot as attached, I hope you might find helpful. I have to imagine you or your competitors have already thought of this, or something similar, but I couldn't find it on the web. In any case, my own background is as a mechanical engineer (https://www.linkedin.com/in/rob-schiavi-p-e-m-b-a-b0275093/) and I have worked in IPR in the past. My employer performed an inhouse IPR assessment and released the rights to me as it's not pertinent to their industry; however, I thought it may be worth something to you. Google searches are preceded by an "AI Overview" now (paragraphs generated from text scraped from the web).  It's been suggested earlier that Firefox remove these overviews with a browser extension.  But since Firefox already lets you customize your search results, how about also offering a "links only" sub-choice for search results from Google and other sites? This is highly in demand, and might increase Firefox's popularity.  It would also be appreciated by web publishers, who are facing a "traffic apocalypse" after search engine's stopped prioritizing link results.  (They're also concerned that the overviews are re-publishing information from their sites without licensing it -- even before you get to the issue of AI-generated content being sometimes inaccurate...)   ... split tab processing. this idea / anomaly concerns the main heart of the browser. i don't know if it has ever happened to you, it has happened to me very often, even with different PCs with win10 and win11, never with win7 or older. when i use the browser, with multiple tabs (taps) open, they block (freeze), if one goes into standby, as if they were connected even if the connection is working normally. it happens to me when i download files or if a tab goes into standby for server-side login. you could manage the various tabs separately, maybe in groups of pairs or three but not all together. at the moment i solve it using 2 distinct browsers (duplicate) i would add that an optimization of RAM consumption would be needed. ...
