Hi all! I'm labeling and organizing my Firefox Mobile  bookmarks using contextual emojis in the bookmarks & bookmarks folder names. This has at least 3 advantages: 1) easier visual browsing 2) organizing / grouping by identical emojis labels 3) searching by emojis How-to: 1) This web page bookmarks with the text string "Mozilla Connect - Ideas" by default. Now for everything having to do with "ideas", I introduced the bulb 💡 emoji. So after I bookmarking this page using *Bookmarks  *Add from the menu, I would then edit this bookmark to look like this: "💡Mozilla Connect - Ideas" Similarly, I might add country flag emojis to bookmarks referring to a country. 🇺🇸... Or the magnifying glass emoji 🔍to all my search engine bookmarks. Of course, also several emojis are possible with one bookmark or folder. name. And you can put them in front of the name or at its end, just as you like. Now the best thing about it is: Firefox even allows you to SEARCH for emojis in bookmarks. So when I enter just the bulb 💡 emoji into the search box, Firefox will show me ALL bookmarks labeled with the bulb 💡 emoji, hence all my "idea" bookmarks! Got the idea? I find that I miss the ability to search among the tabs for sites that I regularly visit (news, Credit cards..) when I have viewed a site and neglect to close the tab vice the swipe up.  The site is still actively in the Firefox app. Thanks! ... View more

Hey guys, is there a plan to add a feature that displays on the side the address bar the given name of the shortcut that's been chosen? for example in Chrome it looks like this after I press a shortcut for Wikipedia (w) that I named "Search Wikipedia" and then press Tab: In comparison, there's nothing after I press Tab in Firefox and I can't tell if the shortcut I wanted to use was activated. (The name reassures me of which shortcut it is in case I have many shortcuts and I forgot which one is by that keyword.) But currently Firefox Desktop doesn't have any of that: I'm a heavy user of bookmark shortcuts, and this is one of the biggest reasons I can't switch from Chrome to Firefox. When writing in the "Filter messages" field, there used to be an "x" at the far right of the field box and by clicking on it you could delete the whole content of the field box so that the filtering would stop and all the messages would be shown again. Now this "x" is gone and you have to keep pressing backspace to delete the field box's content. It is not that important but it was really convenient, so I would appreciate it if it would return. In the early versions of Thunderbird, you could filter each field  to show only  emails  with certain values in each column. It was a very useful feature. Easy to target searches. This search was changed to pick up emails with a particular string anywhere in the email. Harder to target a search. ... View more

Visit a URL with an anchor reference: https://www.example.com/page#test Use address bar search and type "#test" - if you have a bunch of other urls with "test" in it, the "#test" url is not prioritized as an exact match. Seems like # is being ignored, which is not helpful and goes against my explicit wish to search for it by typing it into the search! ... View more

Hello, To help easily cleaning up the inbox from deprecated messages, I mean not junk ones but those which are no longer relevant, probably because more recent emails have been received, and reduce the environmental impact of storing useless emails, I'd suggest to add a "filter for similar" as button or context menu item. So, whenever you receive a new email, you can take this opportunity to easily filter then delete the deprecated ones from the same sender. Wikipedia mobile pages render with sections collapsed. (hidden?)  When I search for something in the page, the results include only what is in the non-collapsed sections. If I then open a section that includes search term, the search results do not change. Only when I open the section, AND edit the search term (say, delete & restore its last letter,) do the search results update. Suggestions: 1.  Have a search option to include or omit collapsed sections. 2.  While the search is open, and the user opens a collapsed section, automatically update the search results.  (This infers also updating results when a section is collapsed.) I leave it to HTML experts how to distinguish collapsed content text from menu items, mouseover pop-ups, alt text, and other more “structural” text content. ... View more

Up until a recent update I was able to quickly select search suggestion results by repeatedly pressing the tab key which is easier to use than the down arrow key which is smaller and out of the way on most keyboards. However there is now a focusable context menu (ellipsis) button on each suggestion. This means I have to press the tab key twice to skip over a given result. In the Desktop Firefox "Add Bookmark" / "Edit Bookmark" window (Ctrl+d), after expanding the "Location" part - showing the Bookmarks Folders tree - I suggest adding a fast search line under the folders tree, using the same fast search engine than the "Ctrl+f" feature (allowing fast text search on the whole page by simply typing some letters of a searched word/phrase, without even pressing ENTER), composed simply of a text input line and a next/previous buttons. Adding fast search line would work best with opening the folders tree already fully expanded (folders and all levels of subfolders) for default (without necessity of changing the usual tree functionality). Maybe it could work better and could be easier to implement if the "Add Bookmark" window would be a "normal window" with standard maximize/minimize/close/resize/move features - in place of being only a popup window. Now adding a new bookmark to a specific folder is usually a complicated process, needing scrolling the folders tree and/or expanding some folders and subfolders (even much more complicated because of a small size of this window and folder tree box and by lack of possibility of resizing this window) in order to find the desired subfolder. Adding a fast search line could improve this dramatically. I expected I could right click one one of the search engine options at the bottom of the search dropdown, and select to set it as the default from a context menu option, but I couldn't do that. I love using the search icons in the awesome bar. Unfortunately, when I want to search for things that I've already got recorded history on, the history options in Firefox Suggest override the visibility of the search icons (which are below Firefox Suggest, at the very bottom). Moving the search icons to the top permanently (above Firefox Suggest) would resolve this. ... View more
