Search & Address Bar ISSUES on Landing Page.

Search and Address bars should be SEPARATED on the Firefox Landing Page. When I search the SEARCH BAR my Text gets moved to the ADDRESS BAR where it then gets Auto-Filled or Connects to a URL I did not Intent to go to as I WAS SEARCHING! SEARCH BAR IS TO SEARCH.
Imagine you find or get a link and before connecting you want to search it to make sure it's safe but instead Mozilla decides that it's better just to connect and give you possible viruses or un-wanted 'knowledge'.
I don't understand how the best web-browser has suddenly become stupid in the last few years.
FIX THIS BS ALREADY!
AND NO! I DO NOT WANT SOME BS QUICK FIX THAT ONLY WORKS ON NON-PRIVATE BROWSING AND MUST BE REACTIVATED WITH UPDATES.

Also, you should fix your site so that when we type out an ENTIRE COMMENT and then the site wants you to log-in that when you are returned to the page your ENTIRE COMMENT ISN"T VANISHED.
