Hi everyone,
I'm really angry today and need to vent here.
My need is simple: right-click on any subfolder in the bookmarks toolbar and see "Add Page" and "Add Folder" options. When I select "Add Page", I should see the current page's title and URL, then click save to add the current page to that subfolder.
This isn't some advanced feature request - this is a basic function that any normal browser should have.
I've loved Firefox for about 10+ years, but every single time I use it for a while, I'm forced to leave because of this missing functionality and switch to Chrome-based browsers. It's been over a decade and this problem STILL hasn't been solved!
I don't want to rely on any potentially unsafe extensions or add-ons that might break after browser updates. I also know how to drag and drop the url from the address into subfolders on the bookmarks bar, but I hate this method. It's not easy and it's not accurate. This should be a native Firefox feature.
What's the current experience like?
I have to click the bookmark star in the address bar first
Then hunt through that pathetically small dropdown menu for folders
Or click "Choose" to open an even smaller window
Then scroll through that tiny window to find the folder I want
And Chrome-based browsers? Right-click folder, select "Add page", done.
I genuinely don't understand why Firefox has ignored this basic user experience issue for so many years. Do the Firefox developers never organize their bookmarks?
Are there other users who are also frustrated by this problem? Or am I the only one who thinks this is a big deal?
I've already switched back to Chrome, even though I really prefer Firefox's other features.
Please, Firefox development team, if you see this post - this is really a very basic feature request!
